After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow - a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be - flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle - while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver's own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Like the show, dont care WHATSOEVER for the romance (and I'm a romantic). Highest hopes for season two stepping out of the regular and into the extraordinary ~_~.

I don't care what anyone says, I freakin love this show. It has some of the best choreographed fight scenes on television. Can't wait for Season 2!

Just a question for everybody as I've only seen a few episodes, and sorry if this seems dumb, but is this show appropriate for Christians? What I mean by that is there a lot of sex or cussing?

Even besides the whole Christian thing, I'll be watching season one with my grandmother, and I don't want things to get awkward or her to get ticked. Please help.

@KeefNCookies

Not a fan of the romance either, but the rest of the show keeps me watching.
soforizo - 9/13/2013, 4:12 PM
@GliderMan

Ummm.. I'd say no. Mainly because the "hero" at this point kills a good number of villains, but I guess you should know that from watching a few episodes.

On the other things... There is like one sex scene, though not overly revealing, and I don't remember seeing any cussing. So it will depend how strict your grandma is with the killing part.

Ive never read an Arrow comic, but that blonde girl in action... was she Black Canary? it looked pretty cool
SnapperCarr - 9/13/2013, 4:41 PM
Hopefully the movie universe has nothing to do with this.

It's a good show, man. I'm also a Christian and I have no problems with it.

Love the show but this Oliver isn't what I'm use too. He's killed some people just because its a quick way out. Hopefully this show is never included as part of the movie universe.
