Cryptic Tweet From Marc Webb Reveals When We'll See THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Trailer

Marc Webb has Tweeted a mysterious image which upon closer inspection reveals when and where we will see the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Unfortunately, it looks like we have longer to wait than many were hoping for. Hit the jump for details!

While many fans speculated that we'd see the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in front of Thor: The Dark World, Marc Webb has taken to his Twitter account to reveal exactly when and where it will debut. On closer inspection, the cryptic Tweet (featuring a VERY familiar font) actually translates to, "TRAILER FOR THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 COMES IN FRONT OF THE HOBBIT IN 3D". That means we still have quite the wait until getting our first proper glimpse at the highly anticipated sequel. Are you guys excited? Sound off with your thoughts below!








In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Cool. Hobbit will get a least a billion in the box office, so a good time to show the trailer.

I also think GOTG trailer will play before The Hobbit followed by a Super Bowl TV spot, then the second trailer in front of The Winter soldier.

Nice try, Josh! But there was no Amazing Spider-Man ONE. If one had come out, I'm pretty sure people would remember it existing. I'm pretty sure it would have been memorable and discussed about along with Marvel/DC movies.

Mannnn I hate to have expectations but I hope this movie is amazing because for real it is spiderman and he is like marvels top guy IMO.. TASM did not bring anything to the table for me but for some odd reason I do have a good feeling about this movie.

Okay, I know we are nerds, but cooomeee ooon! This is soo far from Spider-man 2 as possible.

Are people already so afraid that TASM 2 will be better than spider-man 2? We have not seen the trailer yet. Nothing I have seen from the pictures looks like something that came from Spiderman 2. the trailer in desember?? It's a good choice..

I am just wondering if this is going to be the same bootlegged trailer of TASM 2 I saw on here, which was what months ago? Or some edit showing new scenes we haven't seen yet? Either way I will watching Hobbit 2... until then.
