Earlier this month, Tom Hardy described Mad Max: Fury Road's extensive reshoots as "building more Mad Max", but the movie - which started filming last July - may now finally be back on track. Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow have today announced that the follow up to Mad Max, The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome will finally be released on May 15th, 2015. That's quite a wait, although they also confirmed that it will be in 3D, so that might...soften the blow? Are you guys looking forward to this release? Be sure to sound off below!

LMAO. I'm not even gonna say a word....or maybe......
JordanKing - 11/20/2013, 6:31 PM
Why is it viewed so confrontational when a studio decides to open a film 2 weeks after another? Avengers don't own May 2015..
ALegendaryPanda - 11/20/2013, 6:34 PM
I have no idea what this movie is lol. But I'm seeing it
Moohika - 11/20/2013, 6:35 PM
I don't care for this movie but 2 weeks is a good distance away from A2, remember that ant-man is two weeks away from BvsS also.
SageMode - 11/20/2013, 6:35 PM
You gotta love WB for their effort though. It's hilarious. Pathetic, but hilarious.

PantherX:

So like whatever.
Lozzy - 11/20/2013, 6:40 PM
Yeah this is much better suited for August.
DeathstrokeTerminator - 11/20/2013, 6:41 PM
It's not as stupid as putting Ant-Man, 2 weeks after Batman Vs. Superman. Either way, they both are going to get squashed.
Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 6:42 PM
Mel Gibson is so whacked out nowadays that he could play one of the weird villains in the new Mad Max.
JGAR - 11/20/2013, 6:42 PM
Why is there backlash? Just because it's 2 weeks after The Avengers 2 doesn't mean it'll bomb or anything.

Deathstroke:

Ant-Man will have the Marvel-Avengers push. Most people don't even know about Mad Max. I'm 49. Not a target audience.
SuperCat - 11/20/2013, 6:47 PM
I think it'll do well. Can't wait to see it.
JamesMan - 11/20/2013, 6:48 PM
[frick] yeah! I'm pumped for this movie, just sucks I have to wait so long. And already people are trying to make it some big conspiracy to [frick] over Marvel, not surprising since these are usually the people who can't keep Marvel out of a [frick]ing conversation.
Tainted87 - 11/20/2013, 6:48 PM
Mel Gibson wasn't at all bad in the first three, but Max isn't exactly a character you need a whole lot of range for. Tom Hardy is over-qualified, if anything.

Anyway, I wanna see.
Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 6:50 PM
Mad Max = Bomb. The movies are kind of weird, Waterworld weird. I liked the the third one with Tina Turner.
DeathstrokeTerminator - 11/20/2013, 6:51 PM
@Liverpool
It doesn't matter, do you think people want to see an Ant-Man movie? LOL
DeathstrokeTerminator - 11/20/2013, 6:52 PM
The only Avenger kids care about is Iron Man, and Thor 2's numbers prove that.
Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 6:53 PM
Don't get me wrong. I'll go see it, but Mad Max isn't like Hunger Games. WB should have waited until Labor Day.
DeathstrokeTerminator - 11/20/2013, 6:54 PM
^^Just like antman will get squashed by BvsS in its third week! LOL

Thor: TDW is going to end up being the third highest Marvel Studios movie.

Deathstroke:

Marvel/Disney made Thor and Iron Man household names. It's not as crazy as you think.
ATrueHero1987 - 11/20/2013, 6:56 PM
Once again, summer 2015 is going to be jammed packed. Imagined if FOX intended to release ID4 sequel like they want to?lol
ALegendaryPanda - 11/20/2013, 6:58 PM

Azrael725 - 11/20/2013, 7:00 PM

At least I'll have something else to watch if AoU sucks.
JamesMan - 11/20/2013, 7:01 PM
A ridiculous thread with Thor.

Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 7:04 PM
I'm surprised Mel Gibson hasn't complained that he wasn't included.
RRA - 11/20/2013, 7:04 PM
0megaDaGod - You didn't even see THE ROAD WARRIOR?!?!?!

That's a shame. One of the best actioneers ever!
JoJo1982 - 11/20/2013, 7:07 PM
Ouch!!!

Smh
Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 7:07 PM
In his younger days, Mel would have made a good Deadpool.
Poolio - 11/20/2013, 7:08 PM
@Liverpool
Gibson has a cameo in the movie
Poolio - 11/20/2013, 7:09 PM

In Mel's younger days, Deadpool wasn't around.

Always thought there would be another Mad Max movie, only following the adventures of a grown-up Feral Kid from the Road Warrior driving the last of the V8s...

Liverpool4life - 11/20/2013, 7:16 PM
Poolio:

Deadpool has been around since 1991.
Nick56 - 11/20/2013, 7:18 PM
So excited! just became my 3rd most anticipated of 2015 behind Star Wars 7 and Batman vs Superman
JamesMan - 11/20/2013, 7:19 PM
Lawless wasn't a flop. Tom Hardy has been in more critically respected films such as Bronson, Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises, and Lawless.

Seriously Bronson is freaking fantastic.
Poolio - 11/20/2013, 7:22 PM
@Liverpool
I know that, Mel Gibson was around 35 when Deadpool debuted so no, he couldn't have played him in his "younger" days.
