Michael B. Jordan Again Addresses STAR WARS EPISODE VII And THE FANTASTIC FOUR Rumors

Perhaps in fear of saying too much as Saoirse Ronan did and thereby losing out on a role in Star Wars Episode VII, the Chronicle star won't confirm or deny his involvement with that project, but does reveal how he feels to be connected to both that and The Fantastic Four!

Michael B. Jordan is all but confirmed for the role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four, but that's not the only major franchise that the Chronicle star has recently been rumoured to be involved with. "With 'Star Wars' and all these other franchises, Fantastic Four and stuff like that, it's good to be in the mix of those conversations. You know, it wasn't like that before, so it's kind of cool to be in those conversations right now." However, clearly wary that he'll end up in as much trouble as Saoirse Ronan - who seemingly lost out on a role in Star Wars Episode VII because she said a little too much about her audition - he quickly added, "You trying to get me in trouble?" While this is far from an admission that he's landed a role in the J.J. Abrams helmed sequel, but he did go on to discuss his upcoming training regime just in case he does land a part in any major franchises! ""I'm actually just starting to get back in shape," he said. "I get back to LA, see my nutritionist, start training, eating right, getting my body right… so just in case any films, any roles come up in the future that I might need to be in shape for - I'll be in shape." Which of these movies would you most like to see Jordan in?

He needs to get better at fielding those types of questions haha he's too talented not to be talked about for big movies now. Great actor
superjustinsane - 12/7/2013, 7:26 AM
Star Wars ok Johnny storm crap choice
BlackHulk - 12/7/2013, 7:27 AM
Funny how people come down on the possibility of there being a Black Human Torch, but when they hear Russell Crow is playing Noah, they will be the first ones to buy a ticket.

Oh boy. These comments are gonna be crazy.

SigmaCenturion - 12/7/2013, 7:31 AM
I don't seem them choosing him they need the FF/ X-men films to do well throwing in a lot of changes doesn't really make their license anymore stable. I just wont watch the movie. Got to tell the movie industry that screwing with characters like this is isn't cool anymore.
CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 7:31 AM
I think it's a weird casting choice for Johnny storm, but really I couldn't care less about the character of johnny storm or the fantastic four so it doesn't bother me at all.
SigmaCenturion - 12/7/2013, 7:31 AM
SuperCat that is funny XD
CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 7:32 AM
It'd be cool to see him in star wars though.
CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 7:33 AM
He showed a good ability for drama in the tv show parenthood
InfiniteMonkey - 12/7/2013, 7:38 AM
Peter Dinklage man!

Just put him in!
Hawksblueyes - 12/7/2013, 7:39 AM
I don't see the fascination with this dude. At best, he would do well in a Twilight film. At worst, he could be completely miscast as Johnny Storm.
Batmaniac - 12/7/2013, 7:42 AM
I endorse Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm. Bring on the black Sue Storm too, oh and make her thicker than a snicker!

@fridaynight

what the h#ll is ur problem. it a frickin comicbook character. Fox hasn't been faithful to the source material. u can't be serious with that comment. u sound ignorant

The FF are near and dear to my heart ( & tattooed on my body). I want to see them as they appear on the page. Best of luck with your budding career Jordan, but I can't see you as my Johnny.
peppy - 12/7/2013, 7:47 AM
Black human torch lol really ? [frick] this shit
SAZMD - 12/7/2013, 7:47 AM
Break down the barriers of race and gender!

Idris Elba for Wonder Woman!

Jennifer Lawrence for Black Panther!

Danny DeVito for Storm!
RetroFit - 12/7/2013, 7:48 AM
I don't care much for this slick dbag and his razored hairline. The guy just oozes fake on so many levels. Especially his 'charming' crooked smile which he obviously practices in the mirror every day. Fake humble equals smarmy.
MercwithMouth - 12/7/2013, 7:48 AM
Got no issues if he's cast as Johnny Storm. I haven't seen him in any movies so I can't comment on his acting ability. Although I'm of the school that believed Matt Damon's comment on Batfleck, "it's not Hamlet". I have no problem if they cast a black Johnny, as it does not change anything important in his character. Although if they go this way I would hope that they cast a black Sue Storm, as opposed to making them adoptive siblings. It would complicate the story to have to explain it.
WelcomeBackFrank - 12/7/2013, 7:49 AM
Regardless if he is cast as Johnny Storm or not, if Trank goes for a young 20-30 something-version of the Fantastic Four then I will not be seeing the movie. I just want the whole thing to go back to Marvel. They would handle the team with so much care.

I mean as much as I like "Chronicle", I just can't get behind a second go-around of "F4" without it being a Marvel property because I feel things aren't going to change from what Tim Story did.
TheRealistStarLord - 12/7/2013, 7:50 AM
Good actor..
ZULUmonk - 12/7/2013, 7:51 AM
somebody put this guy in a movie so we can stop talking about him.
RetroFit - 12/7/2013, 7:54 AM
We don't want him I FF because he's a smug POS that rubs us the wrong way in a big way. NOT because he's black. Done right in FF that could be interesting. Completely unnecessary, but interesting. I'm FAR more concerned about a 20 year old Mr. Fantastic than anything else.
DatNerdyKid - 12/7/2013, 7:57 AM
I am not a racist guy. But if 2015 gives me a black Human Torch and a black Lex Luthor someone's gonna get bitch-slapped.
Excel - 12/7/2013, 7:59 AM
@retrofit

where do u get ur info, other than ur opinion when has he shown u anything other than what u seen in interviews movie s or tv?

CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 7:59 AM
OmegadaGOD, Better question would be how is his character in Chronical a Dbag? I thought the character was really nice actually. As a jock he was very nice to everyone even made fast friends with the other two less popular kids.
GRYDE - 12/7/2013, 8:00 AM
We've seen Marvel start casting A-Listers in their films thanks to Disney. So now Star Wars will also be subjected to studio style casting decisions. It will lose that unique feel it had that the Marvel films had also that they were not in the Hollywood mainstream crowd.
In the Prequels Lucas cast Jackson who was an A-Lister and all he brought to the mix was dullness.

Lucas made a huge mistake selling to Disney. He should've just stepped back from Directing and let others take over. Eventually Star Wars will probably a Disney Channel Toon called 'Star Wars Squad'.
We'll have tot sized toons of Little Vader, Little Luke and Leia, Han in his little Falcon. They'll al go on adventures while Little Vader keeps trying thwart the good side of the Tot-Force.

This is what Disney did to Marvel and it has carried over into their films. Star Wars is next.
CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 8:00 AM
What's wrong with a black lex luthor? Theres a comic base for that.
CrimsonFlash - 12/7/2013, 8:00 AM

perry white, kingpin, hemsdrall, had African American actor s and it did not take away from the story
6of13 - 12/7/2013, 8:03 AM
It could be that Fox are going to change things up quite a bit with this reboot. From the rumoured casting, it looks a if they are going for a bunch of teenagers which I think is a big mistake. A great deal of the super-powered tv shows we have have a bunch of teenagers who are created by or being used by some kind of secret or government organisation and there does seem to be some indication that Fox are going to do the same. If they do, they could change alot of things and not just the ethnicity of characters. Heck, Sue and Johnny might not even be related meaning they can cast whoever they want.

Seriously, they need to stick with the classic FF of scientists and explorers. Also, there is no need to do the origin except maybe gleam over it very quickly because how the FF get their powers is not so important as to what they do.
ALegendaryPanda - 12/7/2013, 8:04 AM
I hope he gets both parts just so I can see you faggot assholes freak out some more. [frick] you Netman and especially [frick] you MrFridayNight.
