After last night's superb midseason finale of Arrow, it's not in the least bit unfair to say that Marvel have a lot to live up to when they bring The Defenders to Netflix! The episode - if you haven't watched it yet, stop reading now - featured the return of Slade Wilson (in present day Starling City), the death of Shado, the debut of The Arrow's mast and...well, check out the video below to see the iconic origin of Barry Allen recreated in the CW series. Plans were recently scrapped to have episode 20 of Arrow serve as a backdoor pilot for The Flash, so the countdown now begins to when we see him return in his own show next Fall. What did you guys think of "Three Ghosts"?

Man I love this show. One of the best on TV, if not the best.
JoeMomma29 - 12/12/2013, 7:23 AM
BEST SHOW ON TV!
NightWatcher - 12/12/2013, 7:25 AM
THIS WAS EPIC.

Would I be starting a huge debate if I said agents of shield was better than this........

JoeMomma29 - 12/12/2013, 7:28 AM
@ RaphaelCBM

No big debate, but the majority of the fans on this site would think you are insane for saying that!
NightWatcher - 12/12/2013, 7:31 AM
@Joe Hey, im not saying I think that, but im just saying would that cause a nine page thread of people going totally insane of why arrow is better or why S.H.E.I.L.D is better.
JoshWilding - 12/12/2013, 7:32 AM
Saying that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is better than Arrow is like saying that Elektra is better than The Dark Knight. :)
BigMikeReviews - 12/12/2013, 7:33 AM
By insinuating that it might be, you've just caused this to become a 9 page filled flame war lol
patrat18 - 12/12/2013, 7:33 AM
JoshWilding - Agreed.
LMB10 - 12/12/2013, 7:34 AM
Comparing Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Elektra is just idiotic.

Can't wait for the Flash series to start, Gustin was really impressive in the role.
NightWatcher - 12/12/2013, 7:35 AM
@Josh lol, Ok how about this one

Smallville or Arrow
JoshWilding - 12/12/2013, 7:36 AM
Yeah, you're right. Comparing it to that Nick Fury movie with David Hasselhoff would be more apt.
Enphlieuwince - 12/12/2013, 7:36 AM
Very cool. The music has a Batman '89 feel to it...
Ranger14 - 12/12/2013, 7:37 AM
Gustin is doing a stellar job at bringing this new character and dynamic to the show. I can see him carrying a spinoff show if they move forward with that.

@ RaphaelCBM

I know you were not saying that, but if you were to say that most fans on this site would think you are insane!

Lostcause - 12/12/2013, 7:42 AM
I may leave work just to go home and watch this!!!!!
JoeMomma29 - 12/12/2013, 7:44 AM
I am just speculating but I think the particle accelerator will give other people in Central City powers as well. That is how will get other characters with powers introduced into Flash's world!
MrDonut - 12/12/2013, 7:44 AM
Cool, but he did get hit by lightning, shouldn't he have been more fried looking?
DCjohnny - 12/12/2013, 7:45 AM
this show is amazing.....

I was going through the IMDB page of "Arrow" and found that in the upcoming episode 21.... Well read the description yourself - "Oliver gets a business opportunity from a famous billionaire from the neighboring Gotham City."

OOOOhhh!!!! this is very exciting...
SunfireUrA55 - 12/12/2013, 7:45 AM
Still BAD choice for flash. Too young and too scrawny. What were they thinking?
Nomis - 12/12/2013, 7:46 AM
FANTASTIC!!!

This scene... as well as the whole episode last night was just brilliant!

Kudos to the creators. THEY GET IT!

This is how you do a translation of a long time legendary comic character with a history to a modern day live action show.

Respect the source material by not going to far away from it and use it as the impetus for the character(s) personalties and motives and use well know events from the comics, but put a modern day twist, to set up the situations while NOT insulting the viewer's intelligence!
JoeMomma29 - 12/12/2013, 7:46 AM
@ DCjohnny

Shut the Front Door!!!!!! Are you serious!!!!!!
henchmen - 12/12/2013, 7:46 AM

Lostcause - 12/12/2013, 7:46 AM
If DC and WB don't use Stephen Amell for The Green Arrow on the Big screen (which would be a shame), what about Charlie Hunnam of SoA? Just a thought.
mydreamjeannie - 12/12/2013, 7:47 AM
love arrow barry part was great
CoulsonLives - 12/12/2013, 7:48 AM

ManCalledSting - 12/12/2013, 7:48 AM
In gonna have to watch for reruns of this season, and catch up on Netflix!
SWelch - 12/12/2013, 7:48 AM
Last night episode was freaking awesome. And the ending with Slade and Barry was just really great to watch. The worst thing is now we have to wait until next year to see the Flash in his own series.
JoeMomma29 - 12/12/2013, 7:48 AM
@ MrDonut

It was the combination of the Particle Accelerator, the Lightening, and the chemicals on why he did not get fried nor die.
Sumitsjc - 12/12/2013, 7:49 AM
the way they keep it to the DC origin.Love it !!
