Entertainment Weekly have exclusively revealed that there will be one less future scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past next year, with the result being that Anna Paquin's 'Rogue' will no longer be making an appearance in the movie. Apparently, it was a rescue sequence which would have also featured Magneto (Ian McKellen), Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore). Were the trio saving the powerless Rogue? "Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous," explained director Bryan Singer. "It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it." The scene was shot early on in production, and Singer went on to praise the True Blood star before adding that she understood his decision. How do you guys feel about this news?

Coldddddd blooded

Well that's disappointing.
She's one of the most criminally underused characters in the film next to Cyclops.

Well...here's a dancing Ant-Man I made to cheer us all up.

Really? You promote the **** out of Paquin's presence in the film via twitter, trailer and Comic Con, and then you cut her from the film...to give more screen time to Wolvie? Didn't we learnt anything from Cyclops' demise in this saga, that another underused character has to go down with him?? :(
Brainiac13 - 12/20/2013, 3:27 PM
We had to wait years for the $10m Krypton scene from SR...

BruceLeroy - 12/20/2013, 3:28 PM
Of course Rogue isn't getting the respect she deserves. She never has. This is the Fox-Men after all.
TheAbaryMan369 - 12/20/2013, 3:29 PM
You put her in the damn trailer Singer!!

Jesus [frick]ing Christ you never learn.
TheSuperguy - 12/20/2013, 3:31 PM
This movie is looking better and better...
JordanKing - 12/20/2013, 3:31 PM
Trolololololol.

I have nothing more to add at this juncture.
TheSisko - 12/20/2013, 3:31 PM
Okay this makes me mad, Rogue deserves better.
Batmaniac - 12/20/2013, 3:32 PM
Well, this isn't a good sign. That's one piece of nostalgia cut loose from the movie and even though I'm excited, I have to be honest about the fact that the old cast is one of the big attractions for this movie. Cutting away the old cast isn't good at all. Now that's no Rogue and minimal Storm.

This was a shitty movie Singer. You don't get us excited to see the characters return and then start cutting them out of the movie or minimizing their role.

I guess it just goes to show Rogue was only going to be in the movie for nostalgic value.
Jaspion - 12/20/2013, 3:32 PM
All these X-Men movies and we get 5 minutes of Gambit... and none of them are with Rogue. So yeah, I could care less about Rogue being in the movie or about any X-Men movies.
Just had to say it.
TheAbaryMan369 - 12/20/2013, 3:33 PM
A 'rescue scene' actually sounds important to the plot. Don't screw up this movie. PLEASE
DanMcNice - 12/20/2013, 3:33 PM
These are some very sad news :(

Rogue is one of my favorite characters, and I really wanted to see Paquin once more as the mutant.

Hopefully we will see her in Xmen Apocalypse... hopefully...
DeathstrokeTerminator - 12/20/2013, 3:34 PM
Bryan Singer yet again giving more reasons for people to hate him.
DanMcNice - 12/20/2013, 3:34 PM
In fact what I would like to see in an xmen movie is a team consisting of: Rogue, iceman, colossus, kitty..
MrNiklander - 12/20/2013, 3:36 PM
Poor Anna Paquin she got [frick]ed over.Way to go Singer treat lesser known actors like garbage unless it's Hugh Jackman and someone more profitable
McNyagano - 12/20/2013, 3:39 PM

MrMartinMarvel - 12/20/2013, 3:39 PM
Well she only had one scene, so either way they would have screwed over Rouge. But still, she was in the [frick]ing trailer man!
marvel72 - 12/20/2013, 3:40 PM
good, one of the worst comic book castings ever!
Tyrus - 12/20/2013, 3:40 PM
WHAT???? NO NAKED ANNA PAQUIN???? COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WawelDragon - 12/20/2013, 3:40 PM
[frick] yeah! He saved us from Anna Paquin!
ATrueHero1987 - 12/20/2013, 3:40 PM
Damn, first MJ being cut from TASM2...now this???
SoundWave - 12/20/2013, 3:41 PM
F@ck you, Singer!!! Anna is awesome, it was really great to hear that she back in X-men, and now she is cut((( F@ck this movie...
gannicus - 12/20/2013, 3:41 PM
wow rouge has been gutted in these movies needs a reboot rouge needs to be a bad ass babe and we need gambit in future movies not the gambit we had in xmen origins i fear we have already seen the scene of bishop in the trailer as well and quicksilver in this movie should be cut too he looks awful in this movie from the pictures they have shown us.
TheRationalOne - 12/20/2013, 3:41 PM
She was only supposed to be in this one scene anyway, and she probably didn't even have her powers. You guys are really bitching? She was never a good Rogue, and she was never going to be the post-Ms Marvel version you idiots wanted anyway! Plus, I'm fairly positive she wasn't in the original story anyway. I swear to [frick]in god you jack asses don't know your dicks from your assholes.

Tyrus - 12/20/2013, 3:42 PM
Seriously though, I feel bad for her. Paquin went to Comic-Con to support and promote the film for crying out loud... This is pretty unfair.
Tyrus - 12/20/2013, 3:43 PM
I wouldn't have minded if Rogue just served as a guiding light for Wolverine like she did in the first 2 X-films.
Arrowhead77 - 12/20/2013, 3:43 PM
No Rogue, No Gambit, NO Cyclops.....Was excited for this movie, but now I thinks it may not be as great as I hope. Bryan Singers future relevance for CB movies depends on this. If this sucks, Age of Apocolypse will too
McNyagano - 12/20/2013, 3:43 PM
This is bullshit. They showed a glimpse of that sequence in the [frick]ing trailer goddammit. >:(
DEVLIN712 - 12/20/2013, 3:46 PM
Can't say I'm disappointed, she might have been the second most important character in X1, she wasn't anything special
jonedc - 12/20/2013, 3:48 PM
bummer!
VarsityPuppet - 12/20/2013, 3:49 PM
Fine with me. No more Rogue until she's awesome and not whiny.
staypuffed - 12/20/2013, 3:51 PM
She seemed so uninterested at Comic-Con.
If it means the film moves better, I understand cutting the scene.
CherryBomb - 12/20/2013, 3:52 PM
WHAT WHAT WHAT?

I officially hate this movie.
Screw you Singer.
CherryBomb - 12/20/2013, 3:53 PM
She had a green costume and everything :(
Jhuntdaprodigy - 12/20/2013, 3:54 PM
X2 and First Class were awesome, X-Men and The Wolverine were decent. I have definitely enjoyed the franchise except for Origins and The Last Stand but I will say that Singer annoys me with how he's [frick]ed over so many of the characters. I hate how he's portrayed Rouge as this shy, antisocial, emo acting chick in this franchise. Rouge in the comics and old cartoon was very outspoken, sexy, and funny, she had a much stronger personality. Cyclops, Storm, and Rouge all have been [frick]ed by singer characterization-wise. Gambit and Nightcrawler have been majorly underused. From the looks of it, DOFP is going to be yet another Wolverine-Centric film even though he was just in a solo movie and the other X-Men deserve shine. And now it appears like the First Class X-Men are being put before the Present day ones, which is also lame as hell.
CherryBomb - 12/20/2013, 3:54 PM
I'm so upset.
Even if it's one scene I wanted the original cast back!!!!!!
DrDoom - 12/20/2013, 3:55 PM
Trailers always lie
m0th3r - 12/20/2013, 3:55 PM
"because we added a quicksilver scene just to piss off the guys at marvel.." left that part out..
