That's sounds like a legit title.

@BANE5000

I think it's going to be "Wrath of the Planet of the Apes" read an article that listed out all the sequel names and early concepts of where the creative team thought the story would go.
TheSuperguy
TheSuperguy - 1/14/2014, 4:47 PM
@Bane5000

I'm assuming things don't go well for the humans in DAWN, so I'd just call the 3rd film THE PLANET OF THE APES, and it would be a remake. But unlike the original, the apes are the main characters as opposed to a human.
Starfox
Starfox - 1/14/2014, 4:47 PM
@ThBlackNerd I think these rumors are legit, because El Mayimbe has been on a streak. Plus it would make sense for DC/WB to have something like this up their sleeves.

Rise of...
Dawn of...

How many different ways are they to say it's almost, but not yet, the planet of the apes.

Let's just name this third one "The Planet of the Apes."

i loved rise, as is known here, i have not seen the original apes films but i will try to eventually check them out,i loved caesars character development, the touching moments between john lithgows character and caesar, just a great film

Theblacknerd-i am definitely looking forward to MOS2,though dc is more adult oriented and marvel studios is more family oriented there movies are for the families like star wars and indiana jones were , they had there humor( too much in some cases,hah) but it still has drama , themes and character arcs,yeah im like the constant marvel studios defender but i look forward to every single superhero film coming out this year and next year!!

James, you bring up a good point.

I enjoyed the JJ Trek because I didn't care for any of the previous Star Treks and liked teh modern approach. I got the same vibe from the last 'apes as I didn't care for the originals, but enjoyed the last one though (outside of too much Franco).

After the trailer I'm REALLY looking forward to this one, but I would have to guess that just like Trekkie purists, the Apeanado's? probably don't care too much for this update.

Any 70's ape fans feel free to reply.

Looking forward to the third Apes film.
Even though the audience and myself have not seen the second.
Although from the trailers the second Apes film looks good.

@ezio619

You might wish to be a little more specific when you throw around the whole "Marvel is more family oriented"
speel.Truth is,back in the day,Indiana Jones was just as much a contrast from Star Wars in tone then todays WB/DC films
are from Marvel. In fact the whole PG-13 rating was invented because Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
was originally released as a PG film and so scared the hell out of young children the MPAA created a new rating to
handle movies that targeted families down to teens verses ones that were accessible to families that had young
kids. Look back at a lot of classic 80's summer blockbusters and you would see that many of them including very violent films like Jaws and Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan were PG yet both were popular with families with teens.

The WB/DC films may be more serious in tone but I hardly thinks thats an issue with most parents except those with the youngest of children.

I know Jaws came out in 75,but I was making a point about how a lot of very violent films were seen as good family entertainment.

Fox pleaseeeee announce something pertaining to Prometheus 2! lol

@ezio619

Couldn't agree with you any more my good brotha! I love all of those films you named and through time I have accepted some of the marvel movies that have been released and I haven't missed seeing any in theaters with the exception of two (Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3) other than that I'm always highly anticipated towards seeing what they do next. You're right on the money bro these next years in CBM history will be the greatest experience ever. Take care bro!
