Nice! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes looks great!
Ramiel - 1/14/2014, 4:29 PM
They are going to have to share that month with both WB/DC and Disney/Pixar.
TheAbaryMan369 - 1/14/2014, 4:31 PM

Firgosaurus - 1/14/2014, 4:46 PM
ARRIVAL OF THE PLANET OF THE APES AND MARK WAHLBERG ANNIHILATING THE CLAN TO BRING BACK THE DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE HUMANS.

That's sounds like a legit title.
TheRationalNerd - 1/14/2014, 4:47 PM
@BANE5000

I think it's going to be "Wrath of the Planet of the Apes" read an article that listed out all the sequel names and early concepts of where the creative team thought the story would go.
TheSuperguy - 1/14/2014, 4:47 PM
@Bane5000

I'm assuming things don't go well for the humans in DAWN, so I'd just call the 3rd film THE PLANET OF THE APES, and it would be a remake. But unlike the original, the apes are the main characters as opposed to a human.
Starfox - 1/14/2014, 4:47 PM
@ThBlackNerd I think these rumors are legit, because El Mayimbe has been on a streak. Plus it would make sense for DC/WB to have something like this up their sleeves.
KilledHal9000 - 1/14/2014, 4:48 PM
War of the Planet of the Apes? ( too similar to Battle ) Age of the Planet of the Apes? Twilight of the Planet of the Apes? I donno...

@thbluejaguar

I'm so incredibly excited for that movie man! It's like the superhero film for the older crowd of fans! Most certainly looking forward towards seeing just what greatness Snyder, Goyer and Affleck have up their sleeves! It's going to be beautiful ride! Can't wait!
Melkaticox - 1/14/2014, 5:18 PM
I like Untitled Planet of the Apes...

It's a good time to be an Apes fan! Rise was so fantastic and this is great news!

Humby - 1/14/2014, 7:03 PM
Rise of...
Dawn of...

How many different ways are they to say it's almost, but not yet, the planet of the apes.

Let's just name this third one "The Planet of the Apes."
ezio619 - 1/14/2014, 7:05 PM
i loved rise, as is known here, i have not seen the original apes films but i will try to eventually check them out,i loved caesars character development, the touching moments between john lithgows character and caesar, just a great film

Theblacknerd-i am definitely looking forward to MOS2,though dc is more adult oriented and marvel studios is more family oriented there movies are for the families like star wars and indiana jones were , they had there humor( too much in some cases,hah) but it still has drama , themes and character arcs,yeah im like the constant marvel studios defender but i look forward to every single superhero film coming out this year and next year!!
xcan - 1/14/2014, 8:12 PM
James, you bring up a good point.

I enjoyed the JJ Trek because I didn't care for any of the previous Star Treks and liked teh modern approach. I got the same vibe from the last 'apes as I didn't care for the originals, but enjoyed the last one though (outside of too much Franco).

After the trailer I'm REALLY looking forward to this one, but I would have to guess that just like Trekkie purists, the Apeanado's? probably don't care too much for this update.

Any 70's ape fans feel free to reply.
MightyZeus - 1/14/2014, 8:39 PM
Looking forward to the third Apes film.
Even though the audience and myself have not seen the second.
Although from the trailers the second Apes film looks good.
blkyank - 1/14/2014, 9:16 PM
@ezio619

You might wish to be a little more specific when you throw around the whole "Marvel is more family oriented"
speel.Truth is,back in the day,Indiana Jones was just as much a contrast from Star Wars in tone then todays WB/DC films
are from Marvel. In fact the whole PG-13 rating was invented because Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
was originally released as a PG film and so scared the hell out of young children the MPAA created a new rating to
handle movies that targeted families down to teens verses ones that were accessible to families that had young
kids. Look back at a lot of classic 80's summer blockbusters and you would see that many of them including very violent films like Jaws and Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan were PG yet both were popular with families with teens.

The WB/DC films may be more serious in tone but I hardly thinks thats an issue with most parents except those with the youngest of children.

blkyank - 1/14/2014, 9:17 PM
Sorry about the sentence structure on that last post.
blkyank - 1/14/2014, 9:20 PM
I know Jaws came out in 75,but I was making a point about how a lot of very violent films were seen as good family entertainment.
TheRationalNerd - 1/14/2014, 9:31 PM
Fox pleaseeeee announce something pertaining to Prometheus 2! lol

@ezio619

Couldn't agree with you any more my good brotha! I love all of those films you named and through time I have accepted some of the marvel movies that have been released and I haven't missed seeing any in theaters with the exception of two (Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3) other than that I'm always highly anticipated towards seeing what they do next. You're right on the money bro these next years in CBM history will be the greatest experience ever. Take care bro!
needles94 - 1/14/2014, 11:03 PM
@xcan as a diehard fan of the original films, I thought Rise was practically a masterpiece. Still love the original film more, but the new one comes pretty damn close and is miles better than any of the sequels (which i also really love). Can't wait to see more films of this new rebooted Apes franchise!
Namor - 1/14/2014, 11:06 PM
Just watched Rise on FX tonight.. Seen it the day it came out in theaters and about 10times since. Its probably the 2nd most coveted movie i'm looking forward to this yr(2014), behind only Cap2
driver - 1/14/2014, 11:44 PM
It will be called "Reign of the Planet of the Apes"! ...of the Monkeys of the Balls of the Hairs of the Ass.
TheDemonsHead - 1/15/2014, 1:37 AM

lexcorp - 1/15/2014, 3:01 AM
I can't wait for the second installment and now to hear about the third it's going down lol
charlie2094 - 1/15/2014, 3:30 AM
Like how they have to clarify that "Untitled Planet of the Apes" isn't actually official :P

This is great to hear! Had never been in to the Apes franchise, but Rise was a fantastic film and Dawn looks great, glad to hear they're already planning another one
Fabius - 1/15/2014, 4:07 AM
@humby . Sorry pal but it s just make sense if fox choose this title. Is only because it is not the planet of the apes yet. But it will be....so the title is good. Choose the title: planet....it s wrong choice . Too soon junior.just think or try.
MiracleMe - 1/15/2014, 4:31 AM
Planet of the Planet of the Apes
