Looks nice :) Of course it won't be the original, but I trust in Padilha (even if most of the control of the movie it's not in his hands). Elite Squad 2 was an amazing movie...

Saw this movie. It was disappointing, the 1987 RoboCop is still better.
JediPhilosopher - 1/30/2014, 8:44 PM
The corporation was such pure evil that they removed everything including parts of him they could have saved if they had chosen to. Is that not the perfect picture of evil? Is that in this one? No. They didn't need to remove that, BUT THEY DID. Pure.. evil. Or maybe just not able to see the brilliance of the original. :P

TheRealistStarLord

How did you see it?
Grabthemcakes - 1/30/2014, 9:10 PM
I too am looking forward to this movie. It should be a nice fresh take on the RoboCop storyline which nowadays is not all that much science fiction. Perhaps not our generation but scientists & government are much further into this technology than most people would think.

Anyhow, this concept also serves what I envision a Cyborg movie would be like if WB ever decides to give him a solo movie. Just take out police factor and add in some higher tech equipment and you have your Cyborg movie.

Actually there are quite a few movies (non CBM) coming out this year and RoboCop starts my list:

Robocop
Transcendence
Edge of Tomorrow
Godzilla
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Jupiter Ascending
Interstellar
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1
The Hobbit: There and Back Again
