ManofSteel23 - 3/7/2014, 5:49 PM

Mrcool210 - 3/7/2014, 5:50 PM
not much new footage here, but hey movie still looks awesome. but i know im done, no more for me, the last thing that im gonna be taking a look at is how the score sounds before the film comes out
MightyZeus - 3/7/2014, 5:55 PM
TASM 2 sure looks way better than TASM. I am anticipating for TASM 2 and i really hope this film will be amazing and spectacular.
DrDoom - 3/7/2014, 5:59 PM
[frick] that.

Couldn't have picked a WORSE actor for Peter Parker.

If you like TASM or Garfield, you know nothing about Spider-Man.
Mrcool210 - 3/7/2014, 6:13 PM
@DrDoom thats a pretty bold and stupid statement to make there buddy, ive been reading spider-man since i was 4 years old, 16 years of reading comic, encyclopedias, watching cartoons, watching the movies, even making my own spider-man costume from scratch, i can say that although garfield isn't my favourite spider-man (that would be a tie between josh keaton and NPH) he is definitely my favourite live action spider-man and he is the closest to what an actual teen would be in this day and age, considering i was one, i know what he goes through, different versions of peter parker exist and this one is still the same character at his core and that is the most important thing when bringing a character from a comic to film. He has the core of being a teen spider-man down pat. Just because we don't agree with you doesn't mean we "know nothing about Spider-Man"
neonrehan - 3/7/2014, 6:16 PM
@drdoom

Please tell me more about how I know nothing about Spider-Man.

Let me guess, you have all the animated show variants on DVD, all 50 years worth of ASM comics bagged and boarded, you have had lived for 50 years and therefore can speak to the pop culture evolution of the character, wrote a publication that presented a balanced thesis on the renaissance character archetypes of Peter Parker...oh and you most definitely at very least must have had an educated discussion with one if the dozens of SM writers that boasts your credibility on the subject of how and why Peter Parker is represented the way he is represented in different stories. You couldn't possibly be bashing a professional actor and academically trained thespian who's sole profession is to case-study a majority of the above that I have mentioned and deliver it to through a performance that will be viewed not by hundreds or thousands but by millions of people and forever accessible for generations to come. You couldn't possibly be doing that because that would be almost I don't know...immature.
Cumulactus - 3/7/2014, 6:18 PM
Garfield's attitude is so impressive. But... I still hate the hair lol
H3LLBLAZER - 3/7/2014, 6:18 PM
Too many villains, F@cked up goblin, the first film sucked and not connected to the MCU. Psh, f@ck this film.
DrDoom - 3/7/2014, 6:18 PM
Any adaptation is either a good representation of a character or it is not.

TASM is not a good representation of Spider-Man because it betrays the sense of personal responsibility and good will that he is supposed to have, and Garfield's portrayal is horrible.

So, if you think it's a good representation of Spider-Man, then you don't know the core of the character, or are far too lenient with changing who he is.
MrMartinMarvel - 3/7/2014, 6:19 PM
@DrDoom I don't blame Garfield for his shitty portrayal of Pete, I blame the script and Marc Webb's direction.
Pasto - 3/7/2014, 6:27 PM
LMFAO! Welcome to CBM.com, DrDoom hates TASM. If you've been here longer you should know this by now. Dumbasses.
MightyZeus - 3/7/2014, 6:27 PM

The trailer for this movie is already better than the entire first movie.
Greengo - 3/7/2014, 6:28 PM
Someone get a screengrab!
DrDoom - 3/7/2014, 6:29 PM
@MightyZeus

Don't worry about it, buddy. It's to be expected.
Greengo - 3/7/2014, 6:30 PM

Namor - 3/7/2014, 6:32 PM
I think Garfield does fine at playing SPidey/Pete.. This film looks sick.
Namor - 3/7/2014, 6:33 PM
Heres to hoping I get a Kraven(Clive Owen if he don't get Doc strange) in this franchise.

Mrcool210 - 3/7/2014, 6:43 PM
i don't mind if doom hates tasm, i don't mind if he thinks its a terrible representation of the character, you are right MightyZeus he is entitled to his opinion, but really, you can't just say "oh if you disagree with me you don't get spider-man" that is just a really bold statement, sure, if i was saying things like "EVERY OTHER VERSION OF SPIDER-MAN SUCKS" including the original comic, then i could see where your coming from, people like that are stupid, they don't get spider-man, but that doesn't apply to everybody that likes garfields version of the character. For me as long as the movie is good and the character changes fit the story then changes from the source are fine, thats why im fine with the changes to tasm, sure he is different from say 1960s peter, but of course he would be, teens don't act that way anymore, and even if they have a sense of responsibility will shirk it off every once and a while, thats how teens are, so sure pete may not be as responsible as he was in the 60s but i think thats what these movies are going to do, to have him grow into that responsible person he is in the comics, it just takes more then just uncle bens death to do it this time thats all.
Mrcool210 - 3/7/2014, 6:45 PM
i do apologise if i got a little to into it doom, was just trying to make a point, i mean no disrespect to you or anyone on this site.
DrDoom - 3/7/2014, 6:50 PM
@Mrcool

Don't worry about it. I don't think that any one version of Spider-Man is the only good one . . . . there are many. However, as someone who has loved Spider-Man for a long time, after watching TASM, I couldn't help but feel that it completely got wrong my favourite superhero.
Pending - 3/7/2014, 6:51 PM
Webb doesn't get the difference between Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

He doesn't get the character at all.
Scarilian - 3/7/2014, 6:55 PM
Anyone critiquing this portrayal of Spider-man should really listen to this review which evaluates that the main flaw of Spider-man is that he is never responsible. When you realise just how immature, self absorbed and stupid the character really is then you'll be much more acceptant of Garfield's portrayal of the character and realise that Marc Webb is actually being incredibly faithful to the source material.

For example - Rhino was first introduced in a comic that featured the first official appearance of Mary Jane Watson - which inspired The Amazing Spider-man 2 to feature Mary Jane until they cut her due to listening to the fans.

Anyway - listen to the review and then feel free to tell me how "He's nothing like Spider-man"

Mrcool210 - 3/7/2014, 6:56 PM
@DrDoom hey man, i understand that feeling, ive had it with plenty of spider-man related things, Spider-Man Reign, Sins Past, Spider-Man Chapter One, and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, i just respectfully disagree when it comes to this, so lets just hug it out and wait for Tasm 2 to come out, see if either of our opinions change. With no bad blood.
Eustace - 3/7/2014, 6:57 PM
Andrew Garfield makes the character a douchebag!
DrDoom - 3/7/2014, 6:58 PM
@MrCool

I'm okay with that.

Steelers4190 - 3/7/2014, 7:06 PM
Like Garfield or not you have respect him for his attitude. ........the scene of him just about hyperventilating at comic con was awesome
cwarrior - 3/7/2014, 7:09 PM
You know some of you may not like this version but it fits my vision of who I believe PeterParker/Spider-Man is and i've read the comics and watched bot tas and spectacular and this is exactly who I think he is
