With Arnold Schwarzenegger set to return as The Terminator and Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, and Jai Courtney set to play John Connor, Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese respectively, Alan Taylor's (Thor: The Dark World) Terminator: Genesis is putting together a very impressive cast. The latest addition is none other than Spider-Man star J.K. Simmons, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, he will play "a weary and alcoholic detective who has followed a bizarre case involving Sarah Connor and robots for more than three decades (since 1984, which, not coincidentally, is the year the original movie, directed by James Cameron, was released)." I'm not sure about you guys, but this movie just keeps sounding better and better to me!

I have no idea why you posted that, but when in Rome:

I would've been interested if Boyd Holbrook had gotten the role of Kyle Reese.

CBM sidenote: Holbrook is now engaged to the Scarlet Witch(Olsen not Singer's imposter) The lucky bastard.
TheMexicanSuperman - 3/13/2014, 3:47 PM
@SaxoWolf, damn Arnold Schwarzenegger had a gay old time back in the 70s.
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 3:47 PM
@Bravado
hilarious quote!
nowtheresaBATman - 3/13/2014, 3:52 PM
lol I forgot that Singer's fake Witch is (rumored) to be like 5, so I guess it's obvious he's engaged to Marvel's Witch.

Just cast him as JJJ Webb-head, who cares if he was already JJJ in the old trilogy. IMO He was the only good thing about the old trilogy. Well I liked Dr. Octopus I guess...
OneBadDay - 3/13/2014, 4:58 PM
@Omegadagod Same. I nearly flipped!
Dechiriko - 3/13/2014, 5:17 PM
Bret Harrison should be playing Kyle Reese

DrunkenNukem - 3/13/2014, 6:09 PM
BEST ACTOR EVA!!!
DrunkenNukem - 3/13/2014, 6:09 PM
Too bad he is gonna be in this SHITFEST
Jhuntdaprodigy - 3/13/2014, 6:45 PM
They need to go ahead and cast J.K. Simmons as JJJ in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. If there's one actor from the original trilogy they could bring back it's him, he IS JJJ as far as I'm concerned. It's lame to me that they're really doing two Spider-Man films in a row without Peter working at the daily bugle. I mean, I know he doesn't work there in the comics right now, but still though...
mgeoff88 - 3/13/2014, 6:54 PM
After T3, I've pretty much given up on the franchise. If this looks good, I'll check it out.
ManCalledSting - 3/13/2014, 7:32 PM
I love them all, for I'm a huge fan. 3 wasn't the best of the seties, but it was still good. Salvation was really good, and I loved seeing after Judgment Day.
ManCalledSting - 3/13/2014, 7:34 PM
Really though, Arnie as the Terminator??? Are they going to have numerous types of bots, one of which being a saggy old man?
ManCalledSting - 3/13/2014, 7:35 PM
No one wants to see a saggy Arnie coming out of time travel naked. I want a fir mass walking away.
caret - 3/13/2014, 8:38 PM
Whatever. I just hope they start putting him in Spider-man movies again!
ManCalledSting - 3/13/2014, 9:35 PM
The one thing all these films have in common, is John Connor. Therefore, there should be a time jumping first person(yet have older Connor narrating) movie, that explains him. I look at every movie like its a continuation of a story, bit in another time line.
maninfinesuit - 3/13/2014, 10:05 PM
Eh. Emilia Clarke was good casting. Simmons is good casting. But Jai Courtney? I'm out.
BlackIceJoe - 3/13/2014, 10:36 PM
Simmons is an excellent actor so I support him being in this movie.
TimL - 3/13/2014, 10:43 PM
God... I got excited reading that title thinking they have casted him as JJJ again in TASM2. Frick everything, I want JK as JJJ or no dice.
elib - 3/14/2014, 2:49 AM
For the love of god, let this happen. This cast is turning out to be damn near perfect
TheSoulEater - 3/14/2014, 8:36 AM
I'm in love with this more and more as i hear about it...
JediPhilosopher - 3/15/2014, 8:02 PM
I liked the original Terminator movie and T2, but seriously, the whole time travel concept and plot wasn't well thought-out. You can't change your own future by changing the past, because changes to the past would merely create a branch of time and events seperate from the one you started from. Time travel is so stupidly done in so many movies and people are so stupid they buy into it. Loopers uses that idiotic model like Back to the Future, where changes you make in the past affect you gradually in the now. Your leg that was there this whole time suddenly disappears now because something changed 10 years ago? WHy did it wait that long to disappear then? This is so completely dumb. Anyway, the machines wouldn't send a Terminator back in time because there would be no point in doing so that would benefit their reality. Realizing this, I just can't be interested in Terminator.
