Michael C. Hall Expresses Interest In DAREDEVIL Role

He's been a fan favourite casting suggestion for the role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil for as long as any of us can remember, but Dexter star Michael C. Hall has now confirmed that he would indeed be interesting in becoming the Man Without Fear! Check it out...

Marvel Studios gained the rights back to Daredevil a couple of years ago, and while he sat on the shelf for a little while, the character is now being lined up for his own Netflix series alongside Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. With Dexter no longer on air, the support for Michael C. Hall to play the character has continued to grow, and when Vulture caught up with the actor recently, he addressed recent rumours that he's linked to the character. "I've heard them, but I think that's all they are — rumors," Hall told the site. "Don't misunderstand, I would definitely consider it … but I can't tell you any inside information, because I think they're nothing but rumors. I really am enjoying mixing it up a little bit, and I'm committing to things that have a foreseeable end in sight when I start them, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of [a new series] happening at some point. But I'd have to read the script!" If Marvel are indeed interested in Hall, the fact that he's expressed his interest like this might just help put him into contention. Of course, he wouldn't be suitable if they're looking to cast a Daredevil right at the start of his career and those rumours did originate from an unreliable source, so we'll just have to wait and see for now...

ruadh - 4/7/2014, 12:51 PM
He's a good actor, but I'm sure there's someone better for it.
Tuuralihn - 4/7/2014, 12:51 PM
Please, let this happen. Also, second?
Tuuralihn - 4/7/2014, 12:51 PM

MrMartinMarvel - 4/7/2014, 12:54 PM
Not my first choice, but I'd be fine with this I guess.
McNyagano - 4/7/2014, 12:54 PM
He already has the role lol
Doopie - 4/7/2014, 12:57 PM

Doopie - 4/7/2014, 12:58 PM

I would LOVE to see him in the role!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 4/7/2014, 1:01 PM
Dude would kill it
GuardianAngel - 4/7/2014, 1:02 PM
Loved him in Dexter, but I think he's a bit too old for Daredevil.
WAYNE - 4/7/2014, 1:05 PM
too old? i dont really want a young Murdock? i want a post law school lightly seasoned DD. Michael can definitely pull it off. guy was great in dexter
swindler1985 - 4/7/2014, 1:06 PM
I think he'd kill this role...no pun intended. He may be getting a bit older, but DD's mask design is conducive for hiding a stunt guy's face.
MexicanChinman - 4/7/2014, 1:06 PM
@Doopie, well marvel loves casting old people for their films.
Brainiac13 - 4/7/2014, 1:07 PM
I wanted this guy for Lex Luthor but as DD......could work well.

JoJo1982 - 4/7/2014, 1:07 PM
@mcynagano

He doesn't have the role

If he ever was in a Daredevil tv show, I think he'll be fine as Bulleyes..... But daredevil hell no!!!

I can't him being 44 doing a lot of acrobatics like Daredevil
JoJo1982 - 4/7/2014, 1:10 PM
If he ever gets cast for Daredevil

Then I believe marvel studios are going to ask Denzel Washington or Morgan freeman to play black panther
Doopie - 4/7/2014, 1:11 PM
mex

thats true but only really RDJ and Ruffalo are what you might consider old, and they don't really do much of the physical stuff. Michael is in great shape no doubt but look at jackman...they're about the same age and i'm sure he's ready to pass on the claws and finally be alowed to drink a beer. if hall reckons he could handle the physical aspect fair play to him, i'm just thinking of longevity
CaptainAmerica31 - 4/7/2014, 1:11 PM
Yes make it happen marvel
WAYNE - 4/7/2014, 1:12 PM
@swindler1985 exactly. let Hall handle the actiong which he is really good at and a stunt guy can handle the heavy fight sequences and acobatics
Doopie - 4/7/2014, 1:13 PM
i'd like an early 30s Matt. old enough to be practising law and have a couple of years under his belt as daredevil, and still have a few years in him
WAYNE - 4/7/2014, 1:13 PM
acting* acrobatics*
NinjaKickTheDamnRabbit - 4/7/2014, 1:14 PM
I would like to see this happen
GUNSMITH - 4/7/2014, 1:16 PM
EVERY ACTOR WANTS A MARVEL SUPERHERO JOB...GET ONE AND YOUR SET FOR LIFE. JUST ASK RDJ
mctrinket - 4/7/2014, 1:16 PM
Too old.
FerFogs - 4/7/2014, 1:17 PM
cool!
Gusto - 4/7/2014, 1:17 PM

No.
FerFogs - 4/7/2014, 1:17 PM
btw you folks probably never heard of stunt actors, have you?
JoJo1982 - 4/7/2014, 1:18 PM
@wayne

I can here audience screaming stunt man!!! During all the action scenes

And Michael hall on all the close ups

Lol
maninfinesuit - 4/7/2014, 1:18 PM
Terrible choice.
Holmes - 4/7/2014, 1:19 PM
eh, no
FantasticSpidey - 4/7/2014, 1:19 PM
Yeah this would be amazingly good. Just don't have the Dexter show writers from season 5-8 involved at all.
FerFogs - 4/7/2014, 1:19 PM
In a second thought, Gusto should be Daredevil.
ALmazing - 4/7/2014, 1:20 PM
I would be really happy with any of these 2 guys.

Mercwitham0uth - 4/7/2014, 1:21 PM
DO IT MARVEL!
