Well Deserved!!!
ndwwrestler2 - 4/8/2014, 12:00 PM
My favorite comic book done justice. I was going to call B.S when they said that this was better than the Avengers...but this movie deserves that much praise and so much more.
Jiloco - 4/8/2014, 12:01 PM
At first, I was saddened by the rumor that Chris Evans would leave the role, but, Bucky taking over would give us a much more Badassed Cap, which, I think, would be freaking fantastic!
ndwwrestler2 - 4/8/2014, 12:05 PM
I hope they bring Winter Soldier back for Cap 3 and maybe even a cameo in Avengers 2.

I was a bit skeptical of Sebastian Stan playing the Winter Soldier, but he nailed the role.
AstonishingArachnid - 4/8/2014, 12:05 PM
This movie deserves to make a billion. Defo one the best CBM of all time IMO. Hail Hydra

That is a horrible take on it's first Monday. Thor 2 dropped only 52% from Sunday while CA:TWS dropped 73%. Disappointing.

This if for me?
JoJo1982 - 4/8/2014, 12:07 PM
Damn right!!!

Should take the number one spot this weekend too

And maybe the weekend after that, depending on ppl feel about that Johnny depp movie
ndwwrestler2 - 4/8/2014, 12:07 PM
All these "Hail Hydra" memes...good grief.
RextheKing - 4/8/2014, 12:11 PM

@ksommer

AWESOME!

Destined - 4/8/2014, 12:15 PM
It also debuted strong in China as well. 30+ million, you guys needs to report those numbers too. So happy for them! This movie deserves every red cent.
soforizo - 4/8/2014, 12:16 PM
That's a terrible Monday drop. Maybe it won't reach my prediction. It's gonna be interesting to see how it holds Tuesday to Thursday.
DrDoom - 4/8/2014, 12:17 PM
I always thought it was weird that Sebastian Stan's name didn't make the four casting credits on the poster for a film named after his character.
GinjaNinja - 4/8/2014, 12:20 PM
@Dr Doom probably just to attempt to keep his identity secret...
HiTcH - 4/8/2014, 12:21 PM

Deserved every penny.
batman1216 - 4/8/2014, 12:22 PM
Great movie and it is doing very well, but these numbers are absolutely nothing to panic about. Apparently a lot more people loved MOS than Ironman 3 and Thor as well according to the yearly blu-ray sales. I would suggest that maybe Marvel get concerned.
McNyagano - 4/8/2014, 12:22 PM
"That's a terrible Monday drop."

Wut? o_O
Bekss - 4/8/2014, 12:23 PM
Who cares about domestic boxoffice. It's doing incredibly better overseas than anyone could predict.
Bekss - 4/8/2014, 12:25 PM
For an april release it's not a terrible drop.
maninfinesuit - 4/8/2014, 12:25 PM
Aw, yeah.

Omarvls - 4/8/2014, 12:26 PM

@soforizo

What was your box office prediction?
JoJo1982 - 4/8/2014, 12:26 PM
I predict close to 200 million a week from now
ALmazing - 4/8/2014, 12:26 PM
Good Job Cap!!!
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 4/8/2014, 12:26 PM
Still haven't seen it. fml
MrMartinMarvel - 4/8/2014, 12:27 PM
The MCU is almost the second highest franchise of all time!
soforizo - 4/8/2014, 12:27 PM
@Omarvls

$550M-650M World Wide
charlie2094 - 4/8/2014, 12:27 PM
Awesome stuff! Glad it's do so well, deserves it.

Should definitely match Thor 2's box office overall, be great to see it go beyond. Just a question of how much bigger Cap has gotten overseas. Undoubtedly a much bigger character than he was and the first one did release like a week after Harry Potter 8, not on it's own like this one...

Warners will absolutely back down, just not yet. So many people are critical of Warners already, imagine how people would react if Warners pushed the date back now...
Mysterion - 4/8/2014, 12:27 PM
Oh hell yeah DC is moving the BvS date for sure.
DanteSparda - 4/8/2014, 12:28 PM
JoJo1982 - 4/8/2014, 12:28 PM
The only somewhat competition this movie has to worry about is transcendence and Rio 2
charlie2094 - 4/8/2014, 12:30 PM
@MrMartin

Didn't realise it was so close! Cap 2 will absolutely push it over James Bond. Guardians and Avengers 2 will absolutely push it past Harry Potter too...not bad for a studio that released it's first film only 6 years ago :P
