More From Simon Kinberg On THE FANTASTIC FOUR; Will We See Annihilus?

Talking to Collider at WonderCon, the site asked Simon Kinberg whether or not The Fantastic Four will be set in the present day or possibly the past (it's hard to deny that the team would work well in a setting similar to that of X-Men: First Class after all). "It’s modern day. I don’t know what the plans are for the publicity. We start shooting in two, three weeks. I went to Baton Rouge the day before yesterday. I go back there tomorrow. We have the cast. We have the costumes." However, when he was asked for specifics on how the costumes will differ to the versions seen in Tim Story's take on the franchise, he added: "The thing I would say overall about the film is that it’s a much more grounded, realistic, dramatic version of the film than those are films were. Which isn’t to say it’s Dark Knight. It’s not. It’s still fun." When the site then asked if me might see Annihilus, Kinberg obviously wasn't giving anything away, but if you check out the video over at the site, you may agree that his reaction is an interesting one! "I'm not going to give any comment on that [laughs], but I’m happy you’re curious about it. We shoot most of the summer until around end of July, August. I don’t know how many days. But we start soon and end in August." Share your thoughts on these comments in the usual place!
