It's amazing how Ford is still the classiest, coolest guy in the room.

BlanketMan - 5/1/2014, 5:28 AM
Is that definitely Anthony Daniels in the photo? I thought it might be Max Von Sydow.
Rulk - 5/1/2014, 5:29 AM
I can actually honestly say I am looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy way more than this..

With that said however, I hope this will be better then the prequels! Looking forward to seeing Jedi Master Luke again!
MrNiklander - 5/1/2014, 5:30 AM

Feeling good for Hamill. He's had to wait 30 years for this, and he's been nothing but a good soldier for the SW brand during that period. True, he's kinda had to in order to pay the bills, but here's hoping he finally gets the set-for-life $$ he deserves for having carried three of the biggest movies of all time. Those contract negotiations must've been interesting, since it's hard to say which side needed the other more.

HAMILL: Good luck making Ep 7 without Luke! Time to back up the Brinks Truck!
DISNEY: Fine, have fun signing autographs at the Hayseed County State Fair next weekend, and every weekend thereafter!

Very curious to hear what his salary ended up being...!
MrNiklander - 5/1/2014, 5:33 AM
IMO the prequels had a good story but they were filled with some shitty acting and stupid annoying elements.Look at Samuel L Jackson Ewan Mcgrecor all of the prequel cast were amazing actors hell look at Hayden Christensen he turned out to be a solid actor he had some shinning moments in the prequels especially Episode 3 if Lucas hadn't directed the prequels then they might have been more like the original trilogy.I BELIEVE IN J.J.ABRAMS
MexicanSuperman - 5/1/2014, 5:44 AM
I want to see Luke Skywalker have a beard in this one.
butter313 - 5/1/2014, 5:44 AM
Leia solo
LewisD - 5/1/2014, 5:46 AM
Where is Lando dammit.
ChuckV - 5/1/2014, 5:48 AM
The prequels were lousy, except for the last one.... What's happening NOW is what fans were waiting for since RETURN OF THE JEDI. Props to Disney and JJ Abrams for making it happen.
MiracleMe - 5/1/2014, 5:50 AM
I remember after seeing the Empire Strikes Back all those years ago friends and I discussing, speculating and daydreaming about the original cast returning decades to reprise their roles. Got to the point where I thought it would NEVER happen. Especially Harrison Ford. And after the prequels I really did not care anyway. Actually I stopped caring after seeing Return of the Jedi. But wow! This is happening! Never really was a huge SW fan (I'm a Trekkie) but I'm excited about this.
fedup - 5/1/2014, 6:07 AM
@BlanketMan I don't think Hamill's hurting for money, and even if he was he's got a warehouse full of literally every single Star Wars toy ever made in mint condition. I can't wait to see what that garage sale looks like, lol.
BlanketMan - 5/1/2014, 6:12 AM
@fedup: I'm sure Hamill is doing OK - his voice work has provided regular employment over the years - but there's "not hurting for money" and there's "$5-to-20 mil/movie" money like Ford has commanded over the years. I hope Hamill makes at least a couple million for each of these sequels. Like I said, though, hard to imagine how those negotiations must've gone!
InfiniteMonkey - 5/1/2014, 6:13 AM
I hope they have Lando.

It would be a shame if he wasn't back as well.
ImnotDaredevil - 5/1/2014, 6:14 AM
Love that " Harrison Ford. Actor. Han Solo." Nuff said
dethpillow - 5/1/2014, 6:14 AM
Chewbacca's back!!! :)
rad.

Bazinga

Well played sir.

But on a serious note, I hope Hamill gets a good paycheck. The guys been working non stop and he deserves it. Also, since 1992 any batman comic I read has his voice playing in my head whenever I read the jokers lines. As far as I'm concerned I consider him iconic. Glad to see him back.
Jaxim - 5/1/2014, 6:33 AM
I really hope they give Mark Hamill a big part in the new trilogy. I can see him as a Jedi master with a beard guiding the new Jedi lead actor like Obi-Won guided him.

I hope Hamill's old Luke character still has qualities of the younger Luke and is not completely transformed into a completely stoic character like the Jedi masters from the prequels. He shouldn't act completely like the younger Luke because 30 years have passed, but I hope they find a happy middle.

grif - 5/1/2014, 6:37 AM
lets all hope the original cast got in shape for that big sex scene.
dethpillow - 5/1/2014, 6:48 AM
i wish obi wan was having sex with padme more.

i thought that was the whole problem all this time. or at least that anakin was worried about it and imagined it a lot.

obi wan and padme didn't even look at each other, barely.
what the hell about that? what were they thinking?
RedMosquito - 5/1/2014, 6:52 AM
I can't get excited about this. I loved the original movies when i was a kid, but as an adult they just don't have the same impact they used to have. In fact some aspects of the original trilogy are actually pretty bad. In parts the acting and dialogue can be awful, and the story makes little to no sense in places. In all the years since it first came out, i have NEVER been able to understand why Kenobi just stood there like a douche in the least exciting sword fight ever, and let Vadar kill him. He did nothing, NOTHING, as a 'force ghost' to help Luke that he couldn't have done while still alive. Hell, he could have whispered the wise old sage advice in his ear, while, you know, at the same time actually physically helping him out with the whole empire/Vadar thing. So completely and utterly daft...just like the 'shoot missle here' exhaust duct or whatever the hell it was on the Death Star...people look at Star Wars through rose tinted specs as it reminds them of the good times of their childhood, but if you look at it objectively, while still ok, it is nowhere near the giant classic of cinema that it is made out to be. Hell, half the DC animated movied have more coherent plots...
dethpillow - 5/1/2014, 6:57 AM
@HugoStrange - did he not get paid well for the Star Wars movies?
how can something like that happen? this came up in another article, but I don't think Steve Ditko gets paid for Spider-Man.
that's a [frick]ing crime, dude.
that's so obvious that it seems like Marvel should just be cutting the guy checks and calling them "donations". I am gonna look up Luke and Star Wars and see what you're talking about cuz that surprises me. i just can't believe the guy didn't make a ton of money off that. that seems crazy.
dethpillow - 5/1/2014, 7:05 AM
@RedMosquito - i think Obi Wan was some kind of weird Buddhist almost. he didn't really care who won or lost, he only cared about what was going on at the time and who he was around. and when it came down to just a conflict between him and somebody else, he was just like, i don't care. i no longer am vital to this story, strike me down, i don't care anymore. it doesn't matter.

and it only seems like he stood there for a long time, but it was really Vader's reaction to this that makes the scene so. Vader was like,... what? you're just gonna stand there?

so he pauses. that's what creates the awkward moment. if it wasn't for Vader's weakness in that moment, he would've struck Obi Wan down instantly and we wouldn't have seen anything. just dead Obi Wan. Palpatine was actully dealing with a loose cannon the whole 3 original movies and he was too wrapped up in whatever bizarre shit to notice it. Vader was clearly not doing stuff right from the get go.
pepe - 5/1/2014, 7:09 AM
@grif
Yeah, I wonder if Leia Will lick carpet.... I meen Chewie...
ralfinader - 5/1/2014, 7:10 AM
Gotta admit, the more I think on Hamill back in the role that entrenched him in my childhood memories, the more my anticipation grows to finally see, after 30 years, this fantasy world moving forward again.
