According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reg E. Cathey will play Dr. Storm in The Fantastic Four, the scientist father or Johnny (Michael B. Jordan) and Sue (Kate Mara). This could be yet another indication that the reboot will follow the Ultimate line of comics, which saw him portrayed as a scientist who devoted his life towards the establishment of the Baxter Building think tank in Manhattan. Cathey is best known for starring in Banshee, House of Cards and The Wire. Miles Teller plays Mr. Fantastic, Jamie Bell is set to star as The Thing and Toby Kebbell will be Doctor Doom. The most interesting part of this casting is what it means for the relationship between Sue and Johnny. Half-brother and sister? Is Sue adopted? Sound off with your thoughts below!

I'm glad to see Kate Mara finally getting a break.
She and her sister had such a hard life.
StarYeezus - 5/8/2014, 11:46 AM
I was with Sony until I saw ASM2... So now it's just Marvel, WB and 1/2 Fox (this movie) for me.
Doopie - 5/8/2014, 11:46 AM
that explains it then
CherryBomb - 5/8/2014, 11:48 AM
Interesting. Guess we all assumed Johnny would be the adopted one....
Is that subconsciously racist of us?
MrBatmor - 5/8/2014, 11:49 AM
he might be in flashbacks i guess...
CherryBomb - 5/8/2014, 11:50 AM
Another House of Cards actor! Yay!
Kevin Spacey would've made an awesome Doom.
Doopie - 5/8/2014, 11:51 AM
they could BOTH still be adopted
0megaDaGod - 5/8/2014, 11:52 AM
@Cherrybomb

No, but it is a bit interesting. (I assumed the he was adopted too)
DAGuess - 5/8/2014, 11:53 AM

BatManiac - 5/8/2014, 11:53 AM
Trank just flipped the script.
Batman52 - 5/8/2014, 11:53 AM
Whatever happens in this thread don't put me in it cause I like Marvel too. It's just that everyone is ganging up on Fox, Sony, and WB like they haven't made a good or great comic book film.
JerBear - 5/8/2014, 11:54 AM
@CherryBomb
Johnny is the younger sibling. If Sue had been black and Johnny white I still would have assumed that he was the adopted one.
MrBatmor - 5/8/2014, 11:54 AM
would i be racist if i did not want jordan to play the human torch?(/just asking)
Ignition - 5/8/2014, 11:54 AM
FREDDY
MrBlackjack - 5/8/2014, 11:55 AM
...well that explains a lot.
JerBear - 5/8/2014, 11:55 AM
Also, this might be my all time least anticipated superhero movie.

MARVELPSYCHO79 - 5/8/2014, 12:01 PM
@Poolio Finally,we agree on something.
thewonderer - 5/8/2014, 12:02 PM
Because them being adopted violates the source material in such sacred ways.

Guess adopted siblings can't love each other or be as close as biological siblings according to people here.
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/8/2014, 12:02 PM
OH SHIT TRANK JUST OUTED ALL THE RACIST WHO THOUGHT JOHNNY WOULD BE THE ONE WHO WAS ADOPTED HAHAHA
CaptainAmerica31 - 5/8/2014, 12:03 PM
Jk that's still funny though
MARVELPSYCHO79 - 5/8/2014, 12:03 PM
Damn.I need more Age Of Ultron news.
MrNiklander - 5/8/2014, 12:03 PM
Ok I swear most of the cast is good except Miles Teler [frick] that mother[frick]er but FOX is trying to force us down with this ''Hey look we got those actors who will shake the CBM genre with this movie''.The actors are ok but I just can't dig them as the Fantastic Four.Maybe it's because I never liked the team but whatever with this movie
