I like how the '2 Weeks' text perfectly obstructs our view of the bricks he just shat

Best look at the Sentinels so far

@McNy

You lucky bastard
DEVLIN712 - 5/9/2014, 11:09 AM

McNyagano - 5/9/2014, 11:10 AM
@Omega

@Josh

Are you going to the premier?
ALegendaryPanda - 5/9/2014, 11:13 AM
These sentinels look so sick!!
DrDoom - 5/9/2014, 11:16 AM
Love the design of the Mark X Sentinels.
MexicanSuperman - 5/9/2014, 11:17 AM
@McNyagano, you lucky bastard. How are you getting these early screenings? Must be black magic.
sKeemAn - 5/9/2014, 11:17 AM
@mcny

Damn you. You lucky bastard!
MexicanSuperman - 5/9/2014, 11:21 AM
@DrDoom, bro that is the first time I have seen you say something positive about any cbm, since you pretty much anything.
MisterPL - 5/9/2014, 11:22 AM
With every BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO, TV SPOT, TRAILER, and IMAGE they release, we'll have seen almost every frame of this movie in two weeks.

Let me know how it is. I'm done with foX-Men.
thewonderer - 5/9/2014, 11:24 AM
I like this design. It's very practical. I think regular sentinels would be way too CGI heavy and require tons of the budget for the specific details. Also, they would look really fake most likely.
TheAbaryMan369 - 5/9/2014, 11:25 AM
The Sentinels look pretty good when they're in action.
sKeemAn - 5/9/2014, 11:25 AM

I think they did good considering what the comic Nimrod looked like
GL - 5/9/2014, 11:25 AM
This movie is going to own.
GL - 5/9/2014, 11:26 AM
These sentinels seem more logical rather than giant robots. I'm pretty sure it would have seemed like giant robots was too easy for the X-Men to fight.
0megaDaGod - 5/9/2014, 11:27 AM
So this year, we're getting:

- 7 movies

- 7 TV shows

- And we still have hella comics to read

Shit is bananas
Zoolitron - 5/9/2014, 11:27 AM
Looks fan made
McNyagano - 5/9/2014, 11:28 AM
" I think regular sentinels would be way too CGI heavy and require tons of the budget for the specific details. Also, they would look really fake most likely."

While I very much agree with you on your other points but have you not seen the Transfomers films? That CGI is near flawless.

@TheMexicanSuperman

There's a press screening at a theatre I used to work in;)
Ineedrevelation - 5/9/2014, 11:31 AM
Ummm...

I don't think he's gonna make it
0megaDaGod - 5/9/2014, 11:33 AM
They could've DEFINITELY used regular sentinels. I don't see why they didn't but I havn't seen the movie yet, plus Fox is gonna Fox
Gusto - 5/9/2014, 11:33 AM

Honestly...I dig 'em.
thewonderer - 5/9/2014, 11:37 AM

How come when Fox makes a comic change,"Fox is gonna Fox" but when the MCU makes a comic change, they're respecting the comics and only changing what needs to be changed?

Thor should wear his helmet. Mandarin shouldn't have been an actor. Red Skull should be way more villainous and horrifying. Hank Pym should be the creator of Ultron and the same age as Tony.
CinemaHero - 5/9/2014, 11:37 AM
Hmm...
I still can't decided if I think the Sentinels look freaking amazing...or kinda weird...

thewonderer - 5/9/2014, 11:37 AM
The list goes on.
beane2099 - 5/9/2014, 11:40 AM
To me, what the Sentinels look like isn't nearly as important as how they function in the movie. Personally I never liked the building sized sentinels because they seemed to impractical. I remember an episode of the 90's X Men cartoon where a giant sentinel was trying to sneak up on Cyclops and all I could do was laugh.
Bloodraven - 5/9/2014, 11:40 AM
The next two weeks can't pass quickly enough!
sKeemAn - 5/9/2014, 11:40 AM
@yoss 7/3
tvor03 - 5/9/2014, 11:43 AM
@beane2099

or the scene where the sentinel is literally hiding behind a tree. as if it doesn't have legs.
0megaDaGod - 5/9/2014, 11:48 AM
@Wonderer

"How come when Fox makes a comic change,"Fox is gonna Fox" but when the MCU makes a comic change, they're respecting the comics and only changing what needs to be changed?"

Ummm, when anyone makes a change, they're making a change. The question of whether it respects the source material is whether or not that change still manages to implement elements of the source material well. Think about Deadpool, Galactus, Wolverine, Cyclops, Quicksilver, Dr. Doom, Storm, Ice Man, the entire plot of Rise of the Silver Surfer, First Class, as you say, the list goes on.

These things distort the source to the point that it doesn't even resemble it anymore. And I don't just mean aesthetically, I mean in characterization, history and alot of the deeper elements that make the characters who they are. That's what I mean when I say "Fox is gonna Fox"

"Thor should wear his helmet. Mandarin shouldn't have been an actor. Red Skull should be way more villainous and horrifying. Hank Pym should be the creator of Ultron and the same age as Tony."

Thor did wear his helmet, but due to it being too heavy or constantly falling off they leave it off. There are ways to work around this but they didn't, which isn't something I'm pleased about. Ironically, he resembles Thor picture perfectly save for his facial hair and lack of helmet.

The Mandarin wasn't an actor. The guy you thought was the Mandarin was an actor. I'm not sure why this is even still an issue

Red Skull was VERY villanous and horrifying. He was just underutilized. That's a writing issue, not an issue of source material representation

Hank Pym SHOULD be all those things you described, but he's not. The fact that you brought this up conveys that you are unaware of how displeased people are about this

@MexicanSuperman

I don't hate everything. If I legitimately like something, I will say so, it's just that my positive comments are usually ignored.
sKeemAn - 5/9/2014, 11:48 AM
It doesn't if the same one dies twice. lol
Nomis - 5/9/2014, 11:49 AM
Praetorian - 5/9/2014, 11:51 AM
The reason they didn't do straight up sentinels is because Bolivar Trask is already a spoof of Tony Stark. Trask-Stark get it? That's why the sentinels look and have exactly the same weapons as Iron Man. So no, they couldn't do that
Gusto - 5/9/2014, 11:52 AM
What's the over under on
Stan Lee outliving McKellan???
0megaDaGod - 5/9/2014, 11:54 AM
I always find it wierd that, when bringing up Marvel's 'bastardization' of the source, they never bring up the fact that

- Justin Hammer is supposed to be older than Tony, not one of his contemporaries

- Pepper Potts is supposed to be dating Happy, not Tony

- Donald Blake anyone?

- Black Widow not being an old flame of Winter Soldier

- Cap and Bucky 'dying' at the same time

- Bruce Banner not getting his powers from a gamma explosion

- Malen not getting Extremis

- Killian getting Extremis

And the list goes on. Of course, that list consist of things you'd probably needed to have read a comment to recognize
DrunkenNukem - 5/9/2014, 11:54 AM
the poster is ok..
sKeemAn - 5/9/2014, 11:55 AM
