Marvel Posts Super Hero Squad Sketches

One of the more fun cartoons to be adapted from a comic property is The Super Hero Squad Show, based on the action figure line from Hasbro. One part children’s show one part awesome, Marvel has posted some line sketches of Cap, Wolvie and more.

I recently caught an episode of this the other day and was rather surprised. I assumed it would be the Tiny Toons for the Marvel Universe, and was exactly correct. They both have a stereotype of being for children, but they’re done in the same way Pixar and Disney do their films; one part children one part adult.

So I was really stoked to see these drawings posted up on the Marvel website. I love this sort of stuff, as it gives you a look behind the scenes of a medium not normally given the “behind the scenes” treatment.

The Super Hero Squad Show can be seen on various channels around the world including Cartoon Network and ABC 3.

although the show is a LITTLE juvenile, it is a great way to introduce youngsters to the Marvel Universe.
that being said my favorite line is "Don't call me Wolvie!"

I love the tiny mouth on Cap in the corner!
This show reminds me of the mini marvels strips.

Is any one else a little disturbed by Ms. Marvel?

I mean, she sorta looks like a little kid...but she still has her ginormous tits.

So, a "Muppet Babies" for Marvel super heroes?

What do you think, Whitney? Wanna watch this?

The characters are drawn like the Marvel version of the Lollipop Guild! But I like the show anyway. Any time I can get so many Marvel characters on the screen at the same time can't be a bad thing. And for those who haven't noticed, in the opening credits, the Hulk catches a fractal shard and transforms into something different each time (very Simpsons-esque.)

Never seen it...what age group is the show aimed at? (the very young I'm guessing?) Still, if it introduces a whole new audience to Marvel, then great! :)

@Josh24

Little kids. Like under 10 year olds

The Super Hero Squad is very entertaining, yeah It might be for little kids but it is mini versions of the heroes and a more hilarious kind of kiddie things happening on the show. Spider-Man has not yet been on the ones I have watched, but they keep hinting at him making an appearance, and Stan Lee as the voice of the Mayor of Super-Hero city makes it worth watching if you are wanting to watch something different

I watched a couple, but it really was too 'kiddy' for me.

I thought there was a problem getting the rights for spider-man in this? I'm sure there were a couple of big hitters missing...

I was watching the episode where they were trying to find a place to stay cuz their base got distroyed. They were in punisher's van spinning out of control that was hilarious. then they were walking down the street and iron man was thinking of heroes houses to go to and he said. "she hulk? hmm. eh. Maybe if was just me." LOL

its aimed at little kids but its actually pretty funny because of the subliminal comic book references. i love how the silver surfer talks like michaelangelo from the ninja turtles or how thor had a rock band in college at asgard! HA!

and the stan lee cameo as the mayor is the best part!!!
