I think he will surprise a lot of you. Many will be worshiping the ground he walks on two years from now.
SpiderParker - 8/24/2013, 9:29 AM
Give the guy a little chance. He is not a bad actor, he was just in bad movies. I have to say the cast is perfect till now but the one thing they lack is a good director. Come on, Ben Affleck is better director than Zack Snyder!

WB, please do a right thing and remove the son of Micheal Bay.
Highflyer - 8/24/2013, 9:31 AM
@SpiderParker and Panther X, agreed!
Highflyer - 8/24/2013, 9:35 AM
The stupid thing about the haters is they way they mention movies from around 10 years ago! Its fricking 2013! Times has changed! Ben Affleck kicks ass now. ALL actors and actresses have been in their fair share of movies. Get over it.
SpiderParker - 8/24/2013, 9:41 AM
@0megaDaGod
Exactly, I loved 300, but it was a serious action movie for which Zack Snyder was perfect. He makes great action scenes which look visually stunning but he is weak in storytelling and character development. I hope even if WB doesn't replace him, atleast have Affleck give some input in directing the movie.

If this movie sucks, I will be blaming Zack Snyder!!
Seriously, I dunno how some fans are more worried about Affleck than Snyder.
KeefNCookies - 8/24/2013, 9:41 AM
Superman! Superman!
Greengo - 8/24/2013, 9:49 AM
I was skeptical of TDK because of Ledger's Joker.

We all know how that turned out.
JerBear - 8/24/2013, 9:49 AM
Snyder is way better than Michael Bay.
KeefNCookies - 8/24/2013, 9:52 AM
Ill take Snyder and this universe over Nolan and his not-batman universe any day, any time.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 9:53 AM
Omegadagod, I agree 100%. It wasn't a bad movie, but it could have been great. I'm hoping the second movie will get more love.
MrReese - 8/24/2013, 9:55 AM
I'm iffy bout Ben.But I think he'll do fine.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 9:56 AM
Heath Ledger, nice guy, great performance, not the Joker.
MrReese - 8/24/2013, 9:56 AM
Heath Ledger, nice guy,great performance,best on screen Joker ;)
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 9:57 AM
So far, unfortunately, and arguably.
JediPhilosopher - 8/24/2013, 10:11 AM
Omegadagod, Amen. His movies definitely had their moments, but the characters were mostly alternative versions.
DefcoN - 8/24/2013, 10:19 AM
Oh yeah! I almost forget about this guy with this whole Batman thing! I mean, he's supposed to be the star in his movie with the Batman as a special guest but sometimes I feel it's completely the opposite of that.
Giznad - 8/24/2013, 10:54 AM
yeah, Snyder is still the biggest problem of this, not Affleck. If Affleck directs Justice League, Marvel better be prepared for some competition.
LP4 - 8/24/2013, 11:18 AM
Worlds Finest is gonna bitchslap all Marvel films.

KeefNCookies - 8/24/2013, 11:20 AM
Nolan's trilogy are NOT CBMs, but a CRIME drama with a guy who happens to wear a cape and cowl. Give me the REAL Batman, not just some guy named Bruce Wayne who lives above a cave and dresses up.
ManCalledSting - 8/24/2013, 11:42 AM
I think these two actors will have great chemistry together, and I hope we get to see the new Batsuit concept art soon.
Supes17 - 8/24/2013, 11:42 AM
He wears a batsuit has a batcave, batmobile, batcycle, bat light signal, Gotham, James Gordon, Alfred, Lucius, Joker, Wayne Mansion.
He dresses up as a [frick]ing bat and fights crime. It's a CBM.
Supes17 - 8/24/2013, 11:44 AM
And which "comics" are people comparing Batman to? Because last time I checked there are MANY interpretations of Batman in the [frick]ing comics. One of them has Batman killing people, a girl as Robin and Dick Grayson as the Joker.

KeefNCookies - 8/24/2013, 11:45 AM
By the way...

I liked Nolan's series (except Rises which was pure doo-doo on so, so many levels).

It's just not what I go to the theaters.

And Levi..? You're just as bad as everyone else, even if its not this exact instance. And I quote... "[frick]ing idiot."
Ramiel - 8/24/2013, 11:54 AM
I feel sorry for Cavill. He's going to be eclipsed by Affleck, and worse, get his ass kicked by Batman in HIS OWN MOVIE.
JULEZ13 - 8/24/2013, 12:00 PM
Cavill needs to go back to the gym. At least he kept some of his mass so it won't be as difficult to get big again.

He'll still look a lot better than Affleck no matter what he does.
TheYoungMan - 8/24/2013, 12:17 PM
You guys complain that TDK trilogy was a "crime drama", yet that's really how the comics are too. Basically CSI: Gotham with Batman and his villains. I don't think any of you really know what you want.
TheYoungMan - 8/24/2013, 12:20 PM
@0megaDaGod

"I actually felt like bane was an incredible fighter in TDKR, it just seemed weird that all those punches to the face didn't affect his mask in the sewers, but like 4 punches in the final battle and he's quivering on the floor"

Batman broke Bane's mask with his arm gauntlets in the last fight, not with a punch. He got it hooked onto one of the tubes and ripped it out.
ManCalledSting - 8/24/2013, 12:22 PM
You guys take this shit to serious, y'all need some creamy Baileys.
SpiderParker - 8/24/2013, 12:40 PM
I have to agree with some stuffs that 0megaDaGod said.
TDK trilogy were great movies! But while some may say they were great CBMs, I wont accept that. I liked the trilogy and while TDKR was the weakest in the bunch I would say it was still better than Man Of Steel (yep, Snyder ruined that movie for me that much!). The reason I disagree of it being the greatest CBMs is cause it doesn't show the true interpretation of the main character. I never care about the trivial things like venom of bane if it works out for the movie but the thing is Batman is not just a crime-fighter, he is a detective, heck his comics are called Detective Comics. He is genius, a inventor, a strategist, a tactician, stealth-expert, martial arts expert, the list goes on. All in all he is a full package, that's why I love Batman. And the trilogy didn't have any elements showing how intelligent he is. If Nolan's batman would be in Justice League, he will fail in many levels. Batman is not just brawl. He got the brains too. I love Nolan's movies and love the his work with the trilogy of batman too but they are great movies not great CBM!

The many gadgets, hideouts and superb vehicles doesn't make Batman. It's his brains and expertise in many fields that make him Batman.

The only things I ever wanted in the respected characters is a genius, tactician and kickass Batman & a childish, intelligent and smart-ass Spider-Man.
Highflyer - 8/24/2013, 1:06 PM
@Nomis, THANK YOU. You just made it easier to imagine Ben as an older and wiser Bruce Wayne.
SpiderParker - 8/24/2013, 1:09 PM
Personally, I liked Begins more, followed closely by TDK. I don't want a panel by panel from source material as I heard from many of Watchmen(I have yet to see the movie). It's fine as long as the main elements are present with slight realism but not too much. I think Affleck can deliver the dark and intelligent Batman and everyone will eat there words when it works out, I just have my doubts on Snyder and Co.
SpiderParker - 8/24/2013, 1:11 PM
@Nomis
I can totally see that happening. :D
