At least Thea trained long enough to maybe survive, but Laurel with 1 week training throwing one-hit hay makers is making this show unwatchable.

I agree. The show has taken a lot longer to gain momentum than it did in the previous season. Hopefully the episodes are strong from here onwards.

Pre-defense training. Still get beat up with that and resort to guns in the first season.

3 weeks of boxing and don't box anyone not one time in a fight. Plus it's 3 weeks and that is no one near enough to even be talking about doing what she does. She gets beat up but she should be completely damage because she no where nearly enough experience to defend herself but Wildcat been doing the stuff for years and gets beat to a pulp.

With that the show has to dumb down villains and criminals fighting abilities in order to make her look viable in the field. Her movement is so freaking horrible. So yeah, she is a horrible rushed character that should have been had a bullet in her head.

@gmoney0505 It's like you don't even pay attention to the show. You act like she's taking down criminals as good as Oliver or even Roy. She's taking down no-name henchmen by surprise. She didn't do anything to brick, she got totally wrecked by Vertigo last episode, but oh yeah, she's totally taking down criminals and villains without a scratch. Did you complain this much with Kick-Ass?

Dumbed down criminals and villains fighting abilities? Lol! Just stop. It shows you don't attention to the show.

It's a good show.

Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter are better, and Flash is better as well.

But it's a pretty good show all the same.

Doesn't matter the season, Thea IS horrible.
Props to the writers for trying to make her into something more, but she's either terribly directed or terribly acted or both!

I think they feel that Laurel's arc last season was unnecassary. And now they are trying to make her catch up to being a superhero. BUT now they think it's too fast so they make her get beat up a lot. They're trying to justify her as a superhero. Such a waste of a character.

Even though Ray is pretty much tacked on to this show (he only interacts with felicity), he is far more interesting. Credit to routh!

People forget that Laurel and Sara probably had basic self-defense training from their father. Being a cop's daughter is no joke.

As for Thea, I like her arc, but I expected them to keep the secret a bit longer...just as I expected Ollie's death and recovery to last longer...

Gotta adhere to the episode count, I guess.
