Why do people wonder why Goku is always the hero?

You guys do realize that Vegeta didn't appear in Dragonball until the Saiyan saga and as a villain? Goku has been the main character of Dragonball since he was literally a child so asking why he's the hero is bizarre.

It's like asking why Superman is the hero of a Superman book.

DBZ is great and all but they had an incredibly diverse cast that they just squandered. Piccolo hasn't been relevant since Cell, Tien, Yamcha and Chiaotzu since Saiyans, and Krillen since Frieza. Stuff like Avengers and Justice League is great because it's an ensemble cast. Everyone gets their lime light and time to shine. If you aren't a fan of a saiyan in DBZ your best hope is that your character even has dialog in the next film.

There are pretty much 2 races in DBZ, Saiyan and Peon.

God that is so lazy Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan that is what Toriyama came up with. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and the man seriously wants to revive the DB manga after this film. What next Goku goes SSGSS lvl 2, then lvl 3, then lvl 4, and then what SS ultra god, and then around we go again until we hit god mode once again and then start it all over again. DB is a cornerstone of the shonen genre and Toriyama a legend for the love of God Toriyama needs to stay retired or leave DB alone because this is just embarrassing himself.

what they should do, for a Final Film for DBZ Anime movie. have an Epic Battle Between Goku and Vegeta. to end the DBZ World ready.

i mean both of them are in the OP Enough to fight each other.

maybe Goku turns evil and Vegeta is the only person that can stop him.

Oh yeah, blue haired Goku and Vegeta and a golden Frieza... and his soldiers Sorbet and Tagoma? Seriously? No. That's a little too obvious in the naming. Cleverness failure.

We all want more DBZ with more super powerfull transformation and all but... Sometime we should be careful what we ask for. DBZ can't going on and on without becoming a parody of itself with the transformations and all, Battle of God wasn't bad 'cause the super saiyan god was... original it didn't look like like a new power up.
But here I fin it's getting reeeeeeeaaaaaaally old

I feel ya. I tried to watch this show once but, it was thirty minutes of a guy straining and screaming. It was like watching myself, on the toilet, after a night of hard drinking and Taco Bell (only the cartoon had fewer explosions).

I love DBZ but all these new transformations are getting really dumb, jumping the shark dumb. All the Super Saiyan stuff should have been capped at Super Saiyan 3; now we are basically at Super Saiyan 5??? [frick] man... also I love how in the original series Cell ended with Gohan the hero, seamlessly moving on from Goku; it was a natural progression that was all undone in the Buu saga. Vegetal is my favourite so I hope to see him get it done this time around.

Super Sayjin God Goku Super Sayjin... Say that three times fast.... Anyway, not really a spoiler these forms have been revealed for months along with the story.

Blame the fans in Japan for Goku still having the spotlight, when Goku died after cell he was suppose to stay dead and Gohon was suppose to be the main character going forward, but there was such a backlash from fans that they brought him back.

Also, if anyone is a fan the Dragonball Xenoverse is a fun game with an original story that lets you go through the history of dbz and with the last add ons GT with a character you create...

If I remember correctly, Goten was supposed to replace Goku after Goku died, with Gohan mistly acting as support/mentor, it's why Goten was so similar in personality to Goku initially.

Goku is the hero. And because of that, even Vegeta said that is why he is #1. He trains to protect others... But, if anyone saw the last movie, Vegeta even surpassed goku for a minute. He now has his family. I love Goku but never understood why Vegeta doesn't do better in fights. If you watch most all the movies you see Vegeta get beat quick by the enemy and Goku fight on. When you see Goku and Vegeta fight with each other they go at it for awhile. Vegeta needs more love but Goku is the strongest. I just hope Vegeta didn't just skip Saiyan 3. Would be kind of dumb like GT when he skips level 3.

Yall don't get it Vegeta should never be the main Hero of the show. Vegeta like Wolverine are not traditional heros they're sort of antiheros they should always stay hungry and wanting because if they get everything they want. They're fans will lose that sympathy because it changes the dynamics of the characters what drives them. What will would Vegeta have if he is the most powerful Saiyan? not much. i don't think he cares as much as Goku about facing the most powerful beins but his pride is tested if he isn't the most powerful Saiyan. So Vegeta should always stay close to Goku in power but never achieve it unless unless its the End of the character.

Im not a fan of GT but SSJ4 is the superior transformation. It's what a sayian should be a half ape half humnaoid being not a color changing light bulb. But I'm a huge DBZ fan I grew up on the series so sign me up even with all the silliness.
