This movie always looks so much better whenever they don't focus on the comedy…which is apparently a big part of the movie. *Puts hands together* Please be good, PLEASE be good.

@GentlemanlyBatman

Looks cooler by far. Can't think of a sicker MCU design on the spot. But hey, bad guys get the good shit some time.

I'm actually a lot more hyped for this than I thought I'd be. This movie has a chance to be truly visually groundbreaking in a way that no movie in this genre ever has been. I feel like Aquaman has that same chance.

@fettastic, if MOS was meant to be in the same continuity as TDK, then you can be sure that WB would've include scenes of Bale in the MOS trailer. It wasn't, but they did the next best thing. They made Nolan an executive producer so that they could slap his name and TDK all over the marketing for MOS.

Also, I guarantee that Batman will appear in the Suicide Squad trailer.

I'm really looking forward to this, particularly the scenes with Scott running with an army of ants just to see how impressive it looks.

I can't explain it, but Marvel Movies are starting to look the same.
Yes, I realize Ant Man has totally different powers and it probably won't get dark and gritty until the second or third film, but I watch this trailer and even though we've never seen an Atom / Ant Man movie before; in fact, there hasn't been a good miniaturization film since Honey I Shrunk the Kids... I feel like this movie is the same old hat.
One thing I do enjoy is, it doesn't seem to have a world-ending plot. World ending stories ultimately feel less threatening because we know that they will never blow up earth, or end humanity.

The auto-play ads have convinced me not to see this movie.

Would you guys call me crazy if I think that this movie...*puts up flame-shield*...could be better received than AOU? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed AOU, but I think it's possible Ant-Man could be more well received than it. Why? A few reasons:

1) It's not a huge event film. It's a much more smaller, personal, and self-contained story. We haven't seen that in a CBM for a while. Plus, it's pretty much guaranteed to not have a huge city being destroyed climax, which seems like something people are getting tired of.

2) It's got a few things we haven't seen yet in a CBM, such as the father-daughter relationships with Scott and Cassie and Hank and Hope, the whole visual style of being in a shrunken down world, and sure to be creative action sequences that play up the whole shrinking aspect.

3) Not as much set-up for future films. Granted, we know there will be some Civil War references here, but I don't think there will be as much set-up or references to other films in those one. The big amount of set-up was something that people didn't like about AOU.

Now, we don't know how Ant-Man will be received until it comes out, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets more acclaim than AOU.

"No one expected Age Of Ultron to be a comedic failure".

Please explain this statement.

@retrofit I wouldn't say Cap felt depowered. He's not going to be dispatching ultron with the ease with which he would dispatch a human. He was fighting a little different but not so different that you couldn't call it a tactical decision ie "stay out of reach of the super strong robot"

IMO Ant-Man appearing in Civil War is a really good sign for this movie. Why? Because I don't think the studio would put him in Civil War if they weren't happy with the movie and/or weren't confident it would do well. That's what I think anyway.
