I have a feeling that they got lucky with this one. Unless they can come up with a really good idea for the sequel, it's probably gonna be crap.

No chance Jurassic Park 5 wins 2018. It has to compete against Frozen 2.

There's a million ways to go that people would pay to see. Having some of the old cast interacting with the new guys would be fun though.

So instead of Dinosaurs chasing unarmed civilians around an island they will be chasing soldiers on the battlefield and/or be used as domesticated pets by the super rich. Interesting.

Sheeez, imagine the Apple dinosaurs. You'd need to replace them every year with a new model that's barely different.

I just want a scifi or CBM or Adventure movie someday can get to the top worldwidebox office of all time and put garbage Avatar and Titanic to number three and four; my top dogs are Star Wars this year and BvS next year; also Justice League will be a strong candidate and Avengers Infinity War part 1 and 2.

Cant wait for them!

Open Source of the info and tech is the natural progression. I agree we shouldn't make sequels for no reason. At what point do people stop going to this island haha but since the science exists in this world we know that it can't just be stopped. The progression and spread of the science beyond the island is the natural progression of the story. For me though its not Jurassic Park at that point. It's Dinosaurs. The park was part of the magic and if we have to move on then so be it but don't then its no longer Jurassic Park to me.

@KikinGonzalez I agree with you, I don't like that those are 1 and 2. They're not the 1 and 2 best films. I hope one of those you mentioned does knock it off. I wonder what Star Wars can do. It has the potential to do incredible numbers if it can bridge the gap between the original fans and next gen fans. (Excuse the Trek pun)

Yeah mate, Titanic got the numbers it got because at that time there was not that many options on the market for the women so it got repeated viewings ad nauseaum and Avatar is a space rip off of Pocahontas and Dances with wolves which took advantage of the rebirth of 3D and nothing else, Jurassic world and Avengers are better movies in my opinion.

I think star Wars has a good opportunity in taking down at least Titanic; Avatar really is the toughest one

@KikinGonzalez, @continuezero i think only SW has the pull to topple $2.7billion, i almost feel bad for contributing to that total.

It could be interesting if they did something slightly similar to the new "Planet of the Apes" movies. Like everyone is making dinosaurs And their breeding naturally, man underestimates their control over them and soon they're overpopulated. Then it becomes mans fight over the area/country/planet. Who will be extinct this time? bum bum bum. Either way it's going to be a very fine line to have to figure out

I agree with you on SW being the only one to topple that but as an avid comic book movie fan, the fanboy in me cannot help to hope for Infinite war and Justice League to topple them haha. Let's hope that BvSDOJ makes a gazillion dollars at the box office to ignite and hype for the upcoming Justice League; lets also hope for Suicide Squad to be a huge hit

Well...I predicted this movie would be lame, saw it, Lameness confirmed, and I find myself rather irritated with its predictable success that all but ensures the trend of less-worthy future installments.

Seemed to me when I left the cinema that "JURASSIC WORLD WAR" was practically inevitable. Direct continuation of the Wu sub-plot and allowing the franchise to spill into war movie territory and break the mould a bit.
