I'm not sure why I am even watching the show anymore. We will never actually see Batman taking on the villains, so there really is no purpose to any presumed development and buildup of the villains. It's kind of like...why even attempt the foreplay if you know you aren't going to get any in the long run?

What is it about Gordon that makes every woman completely dull and lifeless while they date him? Leslie was interesting until she hooked up with Gordon. Barbara was boring until she left Gordon, now she's actually one of the better parts of (a not really good) show. Rather than being the grounded center of a crazy world that he's supposed to be, I think Gordon is more just a wet blanket that soaks up screen time that could be better used with more off-the-wall craziness.

Just let your freak flag fly, Gotham. Restraint doesn't suit you.

The fan reaction to this show reminds me so much of Smallville. Same denial, same ease of permission when they butcher continuity to make a tv show work, same willingness to permit inexcusable flaws in characters. Just let it go, let it be canceled, so we can see fully realized Bat-characters on CW/CBS programming. WB needs to tear up that contract granting Fox first rights to Batman tv product.
