Just suffered through this week's episode... I feel dumber for having done so.

The childlike approach to law, politics, and business makes it hard to care about the plot, and the generic soap opera staging and dialogue makes it hard to care about the characters. None of the network comicbook shows are really all that great, but I don't understand how Arrow can be this consistently bad week-to-week...

There, I vented.

@jollem me too!! I am really liking the vibe from this season, and I like how Oliver is slowly making jokes.
Thea so far hasn't been bad as Speedy/ Red Arrow she's had some good fight scene. One of my favorite moments so far for this season was when GA shot the arrow and sent Black Canary swinging down the wire that was so cool!!

I think her Legends of Tomorrow trailer resurrection was better for obvious reasons.

Shows definitely becoming watchable. Still sick of the constant flashbacks that barely relate to the actual story.

I can see the future.
Sarah will become a villain, train Sin to be something useful, and hopefully later in the season this all leads to some Shiva action.

One problem with said theory. The actor who plays Sin is already a regular on a different show.

True, but if Wildcat is any indication of what happens they probably write her character off or never mention her again.

I still can't believe that we're actually seeing a live-action Lazarus Pit. I never thought to see it (I mean, I especially never thought to see it on Arrow but, I'll take it!!)

Just wanna give my 2 cents here, not sure if someone already came up with this idea. My guess, as to who will get killed this season, and the one who's funeral we've seen, is Felicity. Here are a couple of reasons why.. First, Barry showing up at the funeral, though can be seen as a friendly gesture, is kinda fishy. Not sure if the only reason he showed up in Ep 1 is just for continuity reasons or just to bump up the ratings, but people attends funerals of someone that they know personally and really cared for. Plus, the sorrow and absolute anger on Oliver's face just doesn't equate it for characters like Quentin Lance. Of course, it might be Diggle who bit the dust but it just doesn't feel right.

Next, Oliver's run for Mayor might put a target on Felicity's back. Of course Oliver can take the danger it poses, but He might not realize that he's putting his team in jeopardy. As we saw before, with Slade and Rah's, it's easy for our main villains to put two and two together, and deduce that Oliver is Green Arrow. HIVE/Darkh wants no one in the mayoral seat, so if some of his minions is as twisted as Anarky, and uses Felicity as a bait, like what He did to Jessica Danforth and her daughter, then she might really be in trouble. She's Oliver's weakness at the moment, and if someone like Slade was able to figure out her relation to Oliver, much more so can Damian Darkh, who have H.I.V.E in his disposal.Plus, Felicity's continuous insistence of having a codename might not be a throwaway line after all. She really needs a codename to hide her identity. If someone like HIVE or Dark tapped or hacked Team Arrow, they will know Felicity's name and they will easily deduce her identity and relationship to the team.

Another reason is the introduction of Michael Holt a.k.a. Mister Terrific. As we all know, he's the third smartest man in the world in the comics, but in here, they might easily go the TECH GENIUS/computer whiz route for him. If he's to be introduced to Team Arrow this season, then it's almost sure that Felicity will get killed. There can only be one computer whiz/hacker/tech genius on any Superhero Team. Plus, if they decide to make him a Superhero (hence them introducing a character existing in the comics as a superhero), then all the better for it. A tech whiz/hacker/Superhero joining the field operations is not a bad idea after all, plus he already have a codename, keeping him safe.

Lastly, The Oliver/Laurel relationship. This is the 4th season of the show, and next year will be season 5, and I feel that will be an important season. The flashbacks will end by then, and they can easily shake up the dynamic/format of the show, or worse, end the show next season if they want to. As of now, they're trying to align everything as it is in the comics, (Oliver as Mayor, Thea/Mia as Speedy, Laurel as Black Canary, naming him GREEN ARROW, wearing a costume similar to the one in the comics, etc..) so it's not far fetched to think that by Season 5, he will hook up with Laurel, who's Dinah Laurel Lance/his wife in the comics. So what better way for them to grow closer and have the proper relationship just like in comics canon?By eliminating the only woman who's standing in their way. This will make everything right as it is in the comics. As you see, I'm a comics purist, and the relationship of Oliver/Dinah(Laurel) is in the same league as Clark/Lois, Diana/Steve, Peter/MJ, Scott/Jean, and it should be given proper importance.

Again, these are just my opinions. For me, killing the cute and innocent Felicity, more so in the hands of Damian Darkh, will not only make Damian the BEST villain in the whole series, but will also give Arrow a chance to improve and go to any direction they want, especially if they're trying to stay in canon as it is in the comics.. They already killed a bunch of major characters in the series, so it's easy to think that they will try and kill one of the major characters in the show this season.. Sorry for the long post.
