[frick]ing disgrace.
GizmoEl - 1/31/2014, 12:40 PM
Love Andrew as both Peter and Spidey. He's perfect for the role. I hope TASM2 delivers
MexicanChinman - 1/31/2014, 1:16 PM
@DrDoom, get that d out your ass.
Pedrito - 1/31/2014, 1:19 PM
That's a ton of tweets.
No time for that, we're busy getting fired up and/or defending Lex.
DrDoom - 1/31/2014, 1:54 PM
@MexicanSuperman

Stop being defensive.
TimL - 1/31/2014, 1:59 PM
Wow he really went all out on answering these 3 questions. If I did a twitter Q&A I'd atleast secure a couple of hours in order to answer atleast 50-100 questions.
MexicanChinman - 1/31/2014, 2:33 PM
@DrDoom, I'm not being defensive. I don't care if you like the movie or not, but damn bro get off this movie's nuts already, especially since you haven't even seen the movie yet.
Prime - 1/31/2014, 2:55 PM
Now he and Supes have a common enemy.
SuperSpiderMan5778 - 1/31/2014, 3:29 PM

DrDoom - 1/31/2014, 5:41 PM
@MexicanSuperman

I'm not talking about TASM2.

I'm talking about Andrew Garfield, and his terrible portrayal of Peter Parker.
JJJameson - 1/31/2014, 7:41 PM
Andrew Garfield is one of the best actors of his generation, next to Jesse Eisenberg, and his portrayal of Spider-Man and Peter Parker is one of the best in the entire genre, next only to RDJ's Iron Man and Ledger's Joker. That was a great interview, and I'm stoked beyond belief for the Super Bowl spot this Sunday.

Also, great to know that his favorite Spidey villain is Doc Ock, I want to see Doc Ock in TASM's future installments, especially because the good doctor has always played such a pivotal part in the Sinister Six mythology and also because he is my favorite villains as well.
aztecRaingod - 1/31/2014, 8:40 PM
This dude blew Tobey Mcguire clear out the planet.

The actors in general for the Amazing SpiderMan ran circles around Raimis cast.

Different takes on SM, I liked both of them but Garfield is a stud.
MrCameron - 1/31/2014, 9:20 PM
Boy that escalated quickly.
MrCameron - 1/31/2014, 9:21 PM
Seriously Doom, no need to be a complete and utter prick.
xcan - 1/31/2014, 9:23 PM
Mexican? Dr. Doom never lies. No need to question. Simply respect his opinion as he is true.

Garf tried to give good ole xcan a BJ last week, but I had to shut that shit down. Aztec ^ had it right with his first comment. A whole lot of 'circle jerks' going around within Camp Garfield. Disgrace indeed!
riseofloganX36 - 1/31/2014, 9:24 PM
heres my questions.

Why did peter wear a shitty suit that looked like a basket ball but now in the second film its starit from the comics?

Why dose lizard look like a goomba from super mario brothers? Have you even looked at the comics?

Why is electro a black guy when he should be a white guy in a green and yellow suit?

Why is rino a power ranger zoid and not in his rino hide super suit?

Is the green goblin ganna be the hulk goblin from the stupid ultimate comics?

Are you aweare that this story line isen't anything like amazing spider-man but a cluster [frick] of ultimate spider-man.

Do you know that Raimi's and tobey's spider-man is far serperior to you and Webbs peace of shit amazing spider-man

And one last thing Andrew Garfield how ar you ganna feel when captain america winter solder is gann rap you lstupid little peace of shit "spider-man" LOL movie out the box office???

Oh and one more thing...

YOUR COCK IS OUT.

ya just kinda have to put up with it. it's like avoiding piles of shit from the dog on the yard
VIRILEMAN - 2/1/2014, 2:01 AM
I thought Garfield nailed Peter. In the very least he was a much better Peter than Tobey. Tobey couldn't give a quip if his life depended on it. I also loved hearing that Torment was his favorite story line. That is one of my favorites as well.

Mark my words, the haters will be silenced when this movie comes out.
xinstituto - 2/1/2014, 4:17 AM
Mexican Superman is right, Andrew Garfield is not a good peter parker, but i dont think its his fault.. Mark Webb want's a cool popular skater teenager for the highschooler peter (with a Glee style), not a nerdy bullied guy who uses his talents for good things and let the people think he is an asshole (this is peter parker for me)
gurugeorge - 2/1/2014, 6:08 AM
I liked Tobey Maguire a lot, but even though I disliked the last film in general, AG himself was one of the brightest spots in it. He obviously does love playing the character and nails it very well.
xcan - 2/1/2014, 7:24 AM
Aztec? You are speaking of a dictator! Of course I show respect. I don't need a doom bot visiting can's pad. No sir!

Plus as many have stated here, garf does blow quite well!
theowl - 2/1/2014, 7:48 AM
He is the best thing that ever happened to the spider-man / peter parker character.
VIRILEMAN - 2/1/2014, 7:48 AM
You know what I think is going on? I think you guys grew up with Tobey and in turn have a clouded view of who is the better Peter. Andrew can act circles around Tobey. There is a reason we don't see Tobey around any more. He was never a very good actor. Andrew on the other hand is considered one of the better actors around right now. Not to mention Andrew looks exactly like Peter from the comics. While the only version Tobey looks like is the Ditko version.

And the Spidey I grew up with is funny and light hearted. Something we never really got from Tobey.
Bobevanz - 2/1/2014, 7:59 AM
Its time to take doom out!
Boyle360 - 2/1/2014, 8:53 AM
@VIRILEMAN
You hit the nail on the head. People defending Tobey are deluded. He was fine, but you can't truthfully say that he's a better actor than Andrew Garfield. And he does a much better job at both Peter Parker and Spider-Man than Maguire.
DrDoom - 2/1/2014, 10:08 AM
@VIRILEMAN

I don't defend Tobey.

Both Tobey and Garfield are terrible actors for Spider-Man.
spidey1994 - 2/1/2014, 3:49 PM
Andrew Garfield was born to play Spider-Man!
VIRILEMAN - 2/1/2014, 4:40 PM
@Anno

It's weird that we found something we actually agree on. The Spectacular Spider-Man has been the best interpretation of Peter in a while. I can understand people saying it's the best so far.

Personally I enjoyed the Bendis Ultimate Spider-Man comic the most. I also enjoyed the David Michelinie and JMS run on Spider-Man. As far as live action goes, Andrew is the best by far. He looks just like the Eric Larson/Todd McFarlane Peter Parker and he has the quips down. He is tall and lanky like Spidey should be. And it is a FACT that he is decorated actor. Tobey is not.
VIRILEMAN - 2/1/2014, 4:44 PM
Andrew looks just like the modern day Peter. The only version Tobey looked like was the Steve Dikto version. Any one who says difference needs their eyes checked.
VIRILEMAN - 2/1/2014, 4:45 PM

The Devil is walking around like a lion, seeking whom he may devour..
DrDoom - 2/1/2014, 11:02 PM
Spectacular Spider-Man is the best adaptation of Spider-Man, and the Spidey in that is nothing like Garfield's, so . . . .

Yeah. Spec Spidey ftw.
jumpingJellybeans - 2/2/2014, 1:13 AM
I shit you not, in ASM Peter wore almost the same clothes that Spectacular Spidey did when Pete was hanging out on the roof of his house. No need to be such an uppity prick. If you actually *didn't* care about this movie series, you would've stopped bitching and whining like a [frick]ing child over a year ago.
jumpingJellybeans - 2/2/2014, 1:13 AM
@DrDoom
DrDoom - 2/2/2014, 1:40 AM
Or, you can't maintain your composure enough to avoid insulting people over the internet who don't share your opinions.

I care because I love Spidey, and I can't stand to see him disgraced so badly. If people have the right to voice positive opinions on Spidey threads, then I have the right to voice negative ones.

Deal with it.
VIRILEMAN - 2/2/2014, 8:06 AM
@Doom

I agree. I feel the same way about The Dark Knight Rises. I love Batman and thought that film was an abomination of a movie. It was an insult to Batfans. You should see some of the personal attacks I get just because I didn't enjoy a film they did. It's really weird. I have a working theory that people act like that, who don't have enough going on in their lives. So they feel that an attack on a character they love is a personal attack on themselves if they don't deem the reasons you have for not liking the movie "good enough."
VIRILEMAN - 2/2/2014, 8:14 AM
And for the record Doom, I thought Garfield was great as Peter. I could really see the Todd McFarlane Peter the whole time.
