For years I think we all can agree that we all have watched G4TV. The channel was behind shows like Attack of the Show, X-Play and many more. They also had live coverage of Comic-Con and E3. Earlier this year, it was revealed that G4 will make a move to rebrand itself and partner with Esquire or another men’s magazine like GQ in order to tap into a “more upscale, sophisticated guy TV space.” One of the names the channel was considering calling the new station was G4Men. Now the channel will be called the Esquire channel.

G4TV Esquire’s programming will now appeal to the “untapped metrosexual viewership.” The rebranding efforts will “shift the former gaming network to a destination more in line with the modern male.” New programming that is in development will focus on the genres that other male-centric channels, like Spike, have failed to provide for men. These new programs will include programs about cooking, travel, fashion and, some gaming as well. This will happen around early 2013.

So what do you guys think? Will any of you be checking out their cooking shows or fashion shows? Comment below? Peace.
