These past couple of weeks, we've had some big news about X-Men movies. A while back we learned that Jeff Wadlow will write and possibly direct an X-Force movie.. Today, Fox displayed a Sentinel Head at the San Diego Comic-Con. Also revealed today was photos of Bishop, Wolverine, Professor Xavier, Magneto, and Colossus for Days of Future Past. Lastly it was rumored today that Apocalypse will have a major role in Fox’s new X-MEN Universe.

As we know, a while back it was rumored reshoots were going on for The Wolverine that may feature a surprise cameo from one Professor Xavier. It was heavily rumored that this after credits scene will tie in to the upcoming X-Men film, Days of Future Past. We may now know what that after credits scene is and who is involved. If you don't want to know it, don't scroll down.

I'm warning you.

Don't scroll down anymore if you don't want to see it

Last chance

Wolverine is walking through an airport two years after the events of the movie and all the metal detectors start going haywire with paperclips and shit flying everywhere. He turns around to find Ian McKellan's Magneto standing there. Magneto warns him of an enemy looking to destroy Mutants by building machines (this is directly following a Trask reference so it's probably Sentinels) and asks Wolverine to join him in defending his kind. Wolverine says no and asks why he should even consider it, when all the police and civilians gathered around them freeze and Patrick Stewart as Prof X wheels into frame and says something generic. Cue credits

So there you have it. Based off this, it sounds that this could be one of the most action packed after credit scenes in comic book films. What are your thoughts? Comment below. Peace and remember...

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Starring: Hugh Jackman, Famke Janssen, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, and Hal Yamanouchi. Directed by James Mangold.

HavocPrime - 7/18/2013, 4:38 PM
This continuity better make sense after DOFP, as it is really feeling like the current Marvel Comic Universe :S

Only watching this for the after credits really.

Anything McKellen is very welcome
DukeAcureds - 7/18/2013, 4:46 PM
But Sentinals should have already existed!
They have a Sentinel simulation in the Danger Room in X-Men - The Last Stand and numerous references to them on the computer screen in X2.
Still, I do love it when Prof . X wheels into frame and says something generic.
HULK2099 - 7/18/2013, 4:49 PM
Would be amazing

Sounds believable, but enough with the end credit scenes. Put it in the middle.
marvel72 - 7/18/2013, 4:53 PM
@ DukeAcureds

you're correct, how are they gonna explain how professor x got his body back after being destroyed by the phoenix?
SuperDude001 - 7/18/2013, 4:58 PM
Only things I don't believe is it's about Trask, (I doubt Magneto would be willing to team with Xavier just because of some Sentinels and an anti-mutant concept), and the final line from Xavier just being something generic sounds like this is false (like I think you'd remember what it was even if it's not unimpressive). Still could be real.
DukeAcureds - 7/18/2013, 5:01 PM
marvel72@ They've half taken care of that in the X-Men -The Last Stand after credits scene, when Xavier's mind has been transfered to Moira's braindead patient on Muir Island. As far as how he looks just like Patrick Stewart, still, I've heard that he will be projecting a mental image of himself to people. Which seems somewhat unnecessary.
TheBeard - 7/18/2013, 5:05 PM
will find next friday
MrReese - 7/18/2013, 5:06 PM

TelaVizion - 7/18/2013, 5:50 PM
I'll know definitely Tuesday
WYLEEJAY - 7/18/2013, 6:12 PM
So if he transferred his mind to another body, this body still can't walk? Really? I don't care if he skips into frame and says my head looks like a ball sack. I'm bald too so its okay, but get this continuity in order please fox. I freakin LOVE the X men!
HunterMan - 7/18/2013, 6:46 PM
Found this out earlier
dkhager - 7/18/2013, 6:47 PM
this sounds great..cant wait..and then after that ill have to wait even more for DOFP..but i will..oh yes..i will
chrismyers - 7/18/2013, 6:49 PM
So why on earth would they need to go back in time to the 70s?? If its to stop trask making the sentinels then how come they havent surfaced until now? And why not just stop him in the present if his plans hadnt been fully realised yet? I cant see them explaining these problems away.

Im worried they are going to find a crap excuse to tie this to first class timeline
ProfOJ - 7/18/2013, 6:51 PM
Sounds cool....but remember the cinematic x universe is so mixed up and plot changed, the best we can hope for ARE the characters and how they are portrayed.....yeah how are they going to make them come back to life?
ManCalledSting - 7/18/2013, 6:54 PM
My most anticipated CBM coming up.
BANE5000 - 7/18/2013, 7:01 PM
Hmmm so it would seem that Prof. X and Magneto have put aside their differences and banded together to go up against a common enemy they both realize is to big of a threat for each to take on alone...that is AWESOME :D
TheWolverine08 - 7/18/2013, 7:01 PM
Cool.
TheSuperguy - 7/18/2013, 7:01 PM
Sounds cool. I want the Wolverine to tie into DOFP, I want to see the X-series finally have a clear direction. At the same time, I hope the Wolverine starts the official Wolverine solo series without too many cameos.
musim - 7/18/2013, 7:05 PM
Now if only Days of Future Past wasn't going to be almost entirely about Wolverine. I'm fairly bitter about Singer coming back. I can't even make the most of it anymore. The X-Men are my favorite comic franchise and Singer has done nothing but make giant Wolverine fan boy movies. He's not even flawed in the movies. And it certainly doesn't help just how many rich characters the X-verse has, its such a shame to waste all the movies on just one. First Class gave me a lot of hope but that hope is now gone.

GeekyCheekyChic - 7/18/2013, 7:07 PM
Help me Obi Wan... you're our only hope.
GeekyCheekyChic - 7/18/2013, 7:09 PM
at any point will the presence of certain characters be explained or are they going forward denying the events of X3 and Origins ?
I feel a wave of suckage approaches.
genx13 - 7/18/2013, 7:11 PM
All you are idiots. The only reason they making this movie with sentinels. Is because how much money the Avengers made. It is going to be crap just like the other Xmen movies are.
JDUKE25 - 7/18/2013, 7:12 PM
Sounds fine to me. The Sentinels are what I'm pumped for.
JDUKE25 - 7/18/2013, 7:22 PM
I'm assuming it'll be future Xavier and Magneto when they approach Wolverine.
superbatspiderman - 7/18/2013, 7:53 PM
Let's hope that this is true because it sounds bad ass.
TheKingsHead - 7/18/2013, 7:59 PM
Michael Fassbender better not let me down in DOFP
Ramiel - 7/18/2013, 8:01 PM
So, in other words, Wolverine is told that he SHALL NOT PASS.
SAT - 7/18/2013, 8:15 PM
@Heat I see what you did there, haha...Ha!
