Up until now we have only heard extensive updates on the mystery villain but now thanks to Trekmovie we now have an idea of what kind of character Joseph Gatt will portray as well as the planet where the Klingon battle takes place! Follow the jump to find out! Minor Spoilers
Greetings fellow CBMers! Thanks to Trekmovie we now have a minor update on the role Joseph Gatt plays in the upcoming Star Trek sequel. Which may or may not leave a hint of what is to come IF a 3rd film is to possibly get greenlit.
Refer below for MINOR SPOILERS-
According to Trekmovie...
"11 months ago TrekMovie reported that British actor Joseph Gatt was cast in the Star Trek film. During the event TrekMovie learned Gatt appears in the film with the character name "GATT2000." (unsure on the spelling) The character will be seen as a bald humanoid but with some kind of technology built into his head. It wasn’t entirely clear, but it is possible that he could be an android or possibly a human with technological enhancements"
So this movie may deal with androids...or at least humans with technological enhancements. Things are getting interesting now. Could this be some clever build up to the Borg perhaps? I doubt it since the Borg never popped up during Kirk's time but that was in the prime-timeline. Pretty much anything can go in this new timeline.
Post your thoughts down below and let's figure this out.
Oh and Trekmovie also confirmed that the planet Benedict Cumberbatch's character fights the Klingons on is none other than Qu’noS homeworld of the Klingon empire!
"In TrekMovie’s shot-by-shot analysis of the announcement trailer released last week a planet was identified to have Klingon buildings (where Cumberbatch’s character beats up some Klingons). At the event today it was revealed that scene takes place on Qu’noS, the home world of the Klingon Empire"
So there you go! We may be dealing with androids and we'll get to see Qu'noS in the next Star Trek film! Post your thoughts down below!
