Former Smallville actor wants to be Lex Luthor in Man of Steel Sequel!

While it is almost a certainty that the familiar bald foe of Superman will appear in the proposed Man of Steel sequel, one candidate has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the part. Follow the jump to find out who!

Greetings CBMers!

While the aptly titled Lex-list has been almost all-encompassing, including such names as Bryan Cranston, Billy Zane and even the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio. One name we haven't seen thrown around too much has been veteran Lex Luthor actor Michael Rosenbaum himself!

Well the actor in question has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the part and he's asking Superman-fans for their support! He sent out the following tweet today on Twitter, taking a jab at Bryan Cranston's Breaking Bad role in the process!






Mr. Rosenbaum sent out that ominous tweet while providing a link to the Lex Luthor casting thread on Buzz Focus. Right now the front-runner still appears to be Mark Strong...but how would you guys & gals feel about a return to Smallville in the form of Michael Rosenbaum's chrome dome for the proposed Man of Steel sequel?
