Jamie had an interview IESB reported via Interview Magazine were She told the magazine: "I will never be a waif, I want to market myself as a healthy-looking woman who is an action-star kind of girl."

"I've trained with lots of sharp objects for this role," she states.

Sounds good to me. With last months news regarding Chris Hemsworth hitting the weights, Thor is shaping up to be p$^$y free!

whatsinthebox - I don't know much about this actress other than she looks the part. But Branagh is such a talented director that I believe in him as well. Wish I could just step into a cryogenic type of chamber so that I could wake up just days before the opening day.

Oh my, what a beautiful woman.

However, in Norse mythology, Thor was red-headed, and Sif (sheef) was golden-haired. Oh, and Thor had a huge red beard, like Oliver Reed in Baron Munchhausen...

Well this is based off of the comics not teh exact mythology. And in the comics, Thor has blonde hair.

Right, Hawk, very aware that Thor has always been blonde in the comics, as Sif has been dark-haired. Was just making a point about the source material.

And of COURSE I'm not "alright"...haven't been "alright" in two generations, but adjusting well...

Shaman ~ As someone who started with comics from my big brothers and on the rotating stand at the Pak-A-Bag in the mid-to-late 60s, seeing these characters come to life on the big screen is an INCREDIBLE rush. I mean, come on, a REAL Silver Surfer? A REAL Thing? A REAL Hulk, not Lou Ferrigno in green paint? ALL of the comic book movies that I have seen have been a kick, especially if they are with characters that I REALLY got into as a kid, and now that Iron Man, Thor and Captain America are leading into an Avengers movie, I am in hog heaven. Perhaps that's why I am so critical of the Superman movies because not a single one has EVER lived up to the Big Blue Boy Scout.

Yes, there have been TERRIBLY crappy comic book movies (the Superman tripe, the early Batman crap, Electra, Daredevil, Spidey III), but even the crappy ones had their fanboy moments (Susan Storm's body position as she hurls her force field at Doctor Doom, the first real appearance of Silver Surfer to the FF in the woods in Germany, seeing Venom hiss and open that fanged mouth, etc.

Yes, Shaman, for ANY true comic book fan, this IS an incredible era in which to live. And, in fact, I have seen the Apollo moon landing, saw my oldest brother drafted and sent to Vietnam as a Marine and safely return, drove a tank myself as one of Uncle Sam's Misfit Children during the Cold War, performed in symphonies, watched the fall of the Berlin Wall and of the Soviet Union, I saw the Twin Towers before they were destroyed, have shaken the hand of an ex-President of the US and seen many of my comic book heroes brought to the big screen. Not a bad life, far easier than many have lived, but I've seen some interesting things in my years on Planet 616. Now just finding the right girl...(yeah, right. I'm a freaking comic book fan with a totally unrealistic fixation on Julie Newmar-class goddesses, who am I kidding? Ha!)

This IS an epic time in which to live. There were good reasons selecting this time period for this incarnation.

p.s. Newmar was pretty hot in her days. That tiny waist, nice breasts and gorgeous face! She was by far, the best Catwoman EVER!!!
