RUMOR: Chris Pine To Be The Flash?!?

After Bradley Cooper publicly denied being in the running for The Flash the rumor mill has churned out a different name for The Fastest Man Alive!

Chris Pine is a pretty busy guy these days. After hitting box office gold playing Captain Kirk in the 2009 reboot of Star Trek he's gotten a lot of work. With the 2012 Star Trek reboot sequel coming up and being tagged to revamp Jack Ryan in the upcoming film 'Moscow', Chris Pine is swamped.

Out of the rumor mill, being reported from several reputable sites like Moviehole and Screenrant, Chris Pine is now being considered for the role of Barry Allen AKA The Flash in the new 'Flash' movie Warner's has in the pipeline.

Take this with a grain of salt, but is it a bad rumor? No. But with Chris Pine's upcoming schedule it doesn't seem like he'll be up and running anytime soon as The Flash. But here's hoping!

Terrible rumour! Absolutely terrible! He could never be Allen. Disgusting rumour. I liked his Kirk but thats it.
Patrick Wilson is Barry Allen, or Kwanten could maybe do the job but not this fellow!

This rumor was expected since Pine is hot right now with his new movie with Washington. I agree there are worse choices.

You know what, i actually don't mind. I just saw Star Trek and Carriers and Chris Pine is a good actor. He can fit the role of the Flash. I would have prefered Ryan Reynolds before he took the role of Green Lantern, but Pine will do.

people keep saying that Chris Pine can't be the Flash because he has to film Jack Ryan and Star Trek 2, these 2 movies will film in 2011 for a 2012 release and the Flash will most likely be release in 2013, and will film in 2012.

chris pine for the flash,i could see him as the flash.

i don't like the idea of chris evans playing captain america,but our opinion means nothing if they want to cast chris pine they will.

i'd rather see chris pine as nova.

I cold see it happening, but don't think it will. He is pretty hot right now in hollywood, and he could/would do a good job, I just don't see it. It's just too much of a rumor at this point to take it seriously. It might be more fun to see an unknown or even a tv actor for this role. I personally want Mark Paul Gosslar and I know alot of people want Bradley Cooper, Scott Speedman, or Mathew Fox, how about Josh Duhamil as Barry Allen and Timothy Olaphant as Dr. Zoom?

I could see it. Chris Pine has shown that he can be taken seriously as an action star and his roles in "Star Trek" and "Smoking Aces" were peppered with great moments of humor. I think that's also why I could support Brad Cooper because the majority of his roles are comedic and he handled the action well in "The A-Team".
and Whoever plays Barry (Heard it's going to focus on Barry Allen, not Wally West) should be more spirited and light-hearted than serious or moody. The Flash was never really a dark comic in spirit but that never meant dark things couldn't happen. If any DC movie can work on a lighter tone than it's predecessors it's "The Flash."

I liked Bradley Cooper as Flash. But Chris Pine is a great pick too.

not only is this guy too short to play the Flash...the Flash alone is dumb hero character to put on the big screen like ghost rider and daredevil were.

He is good actor so why not? Thou i prefer Patrick Wilson as Barry Allen and Scott Porter as Wally West.

I disagree about Porter, he doesn't have the comedic timing (or at least i haven't seen him demonstrate it) needed for Wally West, although I do think he is a fantastic actor...

Ryan Kwanten is my fav pick for Wally so far...

I hope it's true. I remember when he was rumored to be considered for Green Lantern. I think he would have made a good Hal Jordan and I think he would make a great Barry Allen. Good solid action actor.

Meh, I dunno. I'd rather they get a blond actor to play Barry. If Chris is willing to go blond, it might work, but they should weigh in on more options. Personally, I think Ryan Gossling would be good for Barry, but I think he wants nothing to do with comic book movies. Too bad.

Chris Pine, Matt Fox and Scott Speedman are all good actors but to play the Flash you need to be funny. None of these guys are funny. Anyone of these guys would have been better as Green Lantern over Ryan Renolds and Ryan would be better in this role.

Patrick Wilson I think would be out because he already played Owlman.

Sean William Scott would be a good Flash.

I can see it. But Patrick Wilson is still my absolute ideal choice for Barry. No one matches him IMO.

im new here.nice find jman,i wouldn't mind pine or cooper for barry but pine has the wally face and not the barry face too boyish i guess would be the word but this could just be a bunch of balony but we'll see
three actors i think could fill in the cherry tights for barry are(don't hate on me these are my opinions)
1.nick zano(the final destination)
2.brendan fehr(rosswell)
3.bryce johnson(pretty little liars,sleeping dogs lie)
4.thomas jane(i like him more for punisher though)chris pine could also fit hawkeye but too much chrises is confusing and jeremy renner is fine.

I was initailly gonna say "No" to Chris Pine as Flash. But after I saw AsianAvenger's choice, I'd happily welcome Chris Pine as The Flash.
