Hopefully they will have him in the Avengers movie. It would be killer to see him go up against Ironman.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 9:58 AM
i cant wait to see the avengers movie its gonna be the biggest blockbuster movie ever! Since bruce banner learned to control his hulk outbursts at the end of his movie, it will be awesome to see him in the middle of a scene just hulk out and destroy whoever the villian is.
cbsmitty2 - 6/5/2009, 10:07 AM
i really really really want to see a namor film so bad
marcolanni - 6/5/2009, 10:10 AM
What about casting Will Smith as The Falcon for the Captain America movie? THAT would be amazing.
SuperSkrull - 6/5/2009, 10:16 AM
Honestly, it may piss off some countries, but they will eventually HAVE to do a "Grand Theft America" based movie, following (to an extent) what was laid out in Ultimates 2... And have the climatic battle with all the heroes still UNDER Marvel control...

Sure, no X-Men, or Spidey, prolly no Fantastic Four (unless the rights revert), same with Daredevil and Punisher (at least I think so), but so what? The Avengers, Doc Strange (?), and possibly any other Marvel Property used by then, now THAT would be sweet.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 10:20 AM
so when is a hulk sequel coming out? i like norton's interpretation of banner. moon knight could also work in the DR. strange films i bet, like werewolf by night and blade
dellamorte1872 - 6/5/2009, 10:22 AM
@BaronBubba- That was a damn good story. I liked the part where Hawkeye ripped out his own fingernails to kill his captors.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 10:27 AM
Dellamorte:

Me also...that was the best live Hulk movie to date.
Nice combination of the TV show and the comics.

Keep both set of fans happy.
vonstallin - 6/5/2009, 10:30 AM
Avengers is definitly sizing up to be GI JOE meats Marvel. Global threat and all. But done by Marvel, it will succeed where GI JOE will fail.
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 10:33 AM
Yeah Incredible Hulk was a solid movie.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 10:33 AM
I think a future Avengers movie could expand on characters, other than the movie core group being presented in the film. Ant-Man/Giant Man (still no word of involvement), Wasp, Hawkeye, Falcon, The Vision (sorry, no Scarlet Witch or Quicksilver due to X-Men connections), USAgent?, Wonder Man?, etc.

Moon Knight, Doc Strange, Black Panther, etc. Could be outsiders working with the Avengers in a Grand Theft America theme.

@ironknight, that scene was amazing. One of the best.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 10:37 AM
@ SuperSkrull:

Yes! That would be amazing! I can't believe I've never thought of that.

@ dellamorte1872:

I have been praying for a Moon Knight movie for a long time now. Hopefully, my prayers will be answered soon.

I would also like to see a Darkhawk movie! =D
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 10:38 AM
hulk in the avengers movie? no way? we already knew this would happen. seriously.. there is no news in this article.
grif - 6/5/2009, 10:43 AM
Baron or ironknight, Never got into the ultimate avengers. You think I should knock out the ultimate avengers vol 1 and 2 or just go straight into the ua 2 grand theft america? Sounds like good stuff.
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 10:43 AM
@BaronBubba- I love Hawkeye and I really hope they put him in the Avengers movie.

JonSolo- I would read the first two volumes just to get familiar with the characters. You may not like everything that they changed but the stories are pretty solid.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 10:44 AM
USE HULK AS THE VILLAIN...let iron man, cap, hawkeye, pym, wasp etc battle him and use thor as their secret weapon...also hulk kills wasp, hulk dies (or so it seems..he redeems himself in a hulk 2 film)...and pym makes ultron who turns on him..leads into avengers2...wat u guys think?
Anil Rickly - 6/5/2009, 10:46 AM
@ superskrull/BmanHall Will Smith WOULD make a great Falcon... And Darkhawk would be cool too... I could see them doing a combo of him, Nova, and some other space based people, tho.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 10:48 AM
right on, thanks ironknight
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 10:52 AM
jonsolo, I agree with iron... Read the first one for understanding of the Ultimate Universe, and the second for one of my fave comic stories, PERIOD.

@Anil, I dunno about killing off the wasp in avengers 1. Janet has died too much lately, lol... Blown up by Skrulls in 616, eaten by Blob in Ultimatum.

Altho I DO like Ultron in respect to Avengers 2. Introduce him/them as a police like response/protection force in the end of Avenger's 1, and make him a tool of the invaders in MY take on avengers 2.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 10:53 AM
Anil

Don't you mean a Hulk 3 movie?

Long live the Ang Lee HULK!!!
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 10:53 AM
Iron Man vs. Marvel = Iron Man muahaha
IronManisGOAT - 6/5/2009, 10:57 AM
We all knew HULK would be in the AVENGERS movie!

Hopefully after that he'll be in HULK 3 (Billy) ; )

Very cool news JMAN @ :thumbs

Yay can't wait for ANTMAN heh heh!

JASON LEWIS for CAP!
JASON LEWIS
CAP1 : D

LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 10:59 AM
@JonSolo- No problem. I think you will like them.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 10:59 AM
That was freakin badass. What I really liked about that was showing cap back in wwII and talking bout hitler offing himself.
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 11:06 AM
Jon- Just in case you didn't know the animated avengers movie was partially based of the ultimates book. Some of the scenes were taken directly off the page but some things were changed.

LEEE777- I never would have thought of him as cap but he probably could pull it off. I mentioned this before but I think Brad Pitt would be a good cap as well.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 11:10 AM
MMMM yeah @ Ironknight @ As for PITT, i think he's always been connected to CAP!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 11:14 AM
LEEE777 You realize you used the Ultimates pic of Cap right? lol
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 11:19 AM
IK, kinda figured that but wasnt for sure.
Yeah I heard pit has been trying to get a comic franchise for a while now.
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 11:19 AM
His reference to Transformers, I hope is not an indication he's taking a page out of Michael Bay's playbook. That'd suck. But it would have to be epic regardless.

I'd be interested to see the size of the budget fund for Avengers when it comes time to start filming.

Dr. Strange could be cool, maybe have Jim Caviezel play Stephen Strange.
WeaponX - 6/5/2009, 11:19 AM
LEEE777: God I hope so! They could NOT pull off a "no-name" actor for a role of that caliber, and they will be sorely mistaken if they try!
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 11:19 AM
After seeing Troy I think Pitt could pull it off.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 11:20 AM
BillyBlack... I don't think that you and I can ever be buds.

I think you are in trouble when the director of Hulk also directs a gay cowboy movie. yeah.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 11:21 AM
So far, "The Incredible Hulk" and "Ironman" movies have been amazing. As long as the "Captain America" and "Thor" movies are anywhere near that good, I'll be happy. I'm so [frick]ing stoked for The Avengers! XD
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 11:21 AM
WeaponX: Call me cooky, but for some reason I always thought Pierce Brosnan would have made a perfect Dr. Strange!
Him, or Hugh Laurie.
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 11:22 AM
I'll buy Pierce. I think David Carridine would have made for an interesting Dr. Strange. RIP
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 11:29 AM
@adamant... Pierce would be cool... But Hugh Laurie?!?

GENIUS! Doctor House... Doctor Strange...

I like it, lol.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 11:32 AM
@jonsolo, Carridine would make a great ancient one, IMO... Strange might have been too young, but hey, ya never know.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 11:34 AM
Ironknight @ ULTI-Shhhhhhhhhh ; D

Adamant877 @ Whats this guy been in then? He sure looks perfect for the part!!!

SHAMAN @ That's if JENSEN don't do it! ; )
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 11:34 AM
A doc Strange movie would be sweet, I personally enjoyed the cartoon movie they put out a few years ago. I know people around here seem to have mixed thoughts about the Ultimates but I've always thought that would translate perfectly to the big screen. That's just me though.
thwhtGuardian - 6/5/2009, 11:39 AM
BaronBubba what was wrong with Brokeass Mountain then?? lol, but seriously, i liked it..and even if i didnt, what has one directors movie got to do with another? Jon Favreux directed Elf! Hulk was a very good movie i thought. Better than Incredible in many ways. In fact the only thing the 2nd one did better was the action. I realize thats all that matters to a lot of folks but there you go.

Those animated movies were called ULTIMATE Avengers! They were more than a little influenced by the Ultimates comics! But they were woeful anyway. But i agree they should make Hulk the villain..or at least, one of them.
RorMachine - 6/5/2009, 11:39 AM
it juustt feels good that they are working on an avengers movie
spanky - 6/5/2009, 11:40 AM
I bet the budget is gonna be crazy. So we looking at Fav to direct or go a dif direction?
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 11:44 AM
LOL, LEEE i sure hope Jensen is included in Fiege's "handfull of actors" concidered for the role!

JENSEN ACKLES FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!

Shaman - 6/5/2009, 11:45 AM
Shaman: Beautiful pic! I love the attention to detail!
-kudos-

(Psst... I'm still not completely sold on Jensen for Cap, though. But this helps.)
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 11:49 AM
Well put Rorschach01

After all BaronBubba

One of those "gay cowboys" was also the best Joker of all time. So put that in Uncle Jonathan's corn cob pipe and smoke it! ^_^
You can still be my home slice BaronBubba, even if I liked HULK much better than Incredible. The BB's need to stick together bro. ;)
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 11:50 AM
@ Ror.... Don't you dare insult Elf... I actually liked that one, lol...

Honestly, I'm just not a big Ang Lee fan... Other than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (which I, GASP!, think is slightly OVERrated), I've seen a few of his films. Meh. Not great, IMO, but I'm not too big of a drama guy. I like some dramas, just not really his.

Now, as for Fav's directorial masterpieces... Umm... Made was pretty good... Elf had its moments... Zathura brought back memories of Jumanji, and then there was Iron Man... Well, lets not forget he TOTALLY stole Daredevil in his amazing, breathtaking performance as Foggy Nelson, lol...

Ok... Ror, I'll admit that DIDN'T prove my arguement... Maybe even hurt it, but... Umm... Yeah.

[frick]
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 11:53 AM
Thanks Adamant, and i'm sure glad it helped!!! Nice to put it up in the top article on the front page!!! I feel all exposed :P
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 11:54 AM
Australia hint....Captain America....hmmm...

I still think Worthington should be Cap - but Marvel better figure that out quick - dude's gonna be swooped up by DC if they don't.
Keven - 6/5/2009, 11:54 AM
Billy Black, nice anchorman ref but ang lee still sucked it up with Hulk
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 11:55 AM
lol, ok, BB... Ok.

BTW, I wasn't trying to come off as homophobic. I just think a director with a history in drama wasn't the best pick for Hulk. Heath AND Jake are awesome. Joker and Donnie "BubbleBoy" Darko are among my faves to watch. And Eric Bana was an amazing Banner. But Hulk seemed worse than the traditional Savage "Dumb" Hulk. He was a freaking toddler Hulk. Tantrums galore. And making his father into a Absorbing Man wannabe wasn't great either.

BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 11:58 AM
Keven

Worthington as Cap is actually very intruiging, and I hear he's up for the Lantern role. If he can't land GL, I'd totally be down for him as Cap.

JonSolo

Ha! nice pick up. I guess it's all a matter of styles. I loved the way Lee shot his movie, it was like a moving comic book. I thought the performances (with maybe the exception of a waaay over the top Nolte) was far superior to the Incredible.

BB

I would agree the final battle was lacking, and that's where Incredible really shined (the only shining moment for me) and they did make him more of a raging beast, incapable of speech and such. I just preferred the character development and story of the first movie. Yes, even though they had Hulk dogs and a half-ass absorbing man. Also, I didn't find your comment to be homophobic at all, I've heard a lot worse on here believe me. Me and my friends used to call the Jolly Rancher candies "gay cowboys" back in the school days.
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 12:10 PM
No ones homophobic here, we all like penises... right?
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:18 PM
Billy Black, I just thought it played too slow and didnt like the hulk jumping from mountain to mountain. The look of it was good and I like the actors but just couldnt get into it. Liked the newer one just cause i was a big fan of the bill bixby series and thought it played well. I think I might take the ang lee hulk over wolvie origins though. Hated it.
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 12:19 PM
Ouch... Ang Lee Hulk over Wolvie... daaaaammmnnnn...

Not even X-3 ranks under Ang Lee's Hulk...
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:23 PM
I agree JonSolo, on several of your points, but especially on the Wolvie Origins. It is like they took all of the Wolverine comic book stuff I didn't like and made a movie about it, tossing aside all of the good stuff. Plus, did he seriously not take a bullet to the head in any of those wars he was in? Can't complain further on the movie without giving everything away about it.
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 12:25 PM
I enjoyed Hulk only one time, myself. it was over my aunt's place and she had a bootleg pre-release copy. Ya know, the type with missing CGI and wacky glitches and missing music/scenes/dialog and such.

Well, during the scene with the apache hellys (or maybe blackhawks? I dunno) when the missle the hell outta Hulk in the ravine, gorge, whatever, ya know when Hulk climbs outta the wreckage and walks off? Well, shortly after he climbs out, his pants lose all texture, only keeping the color.

Then they disappear. Revealing a texture-less green ass and thighs.

On my life. If she still has it, I'll try to record and post it. Freaking amazing.

@ shaman, I'd put both FF movies at near Ang Lee Hulk level. Michael Chiklis is the ONLY saving grace, IMO.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 12:30 PM
Damn, i automatically thought HULK would be the uncontrollable Villain in AVENGERS!!! God i hope so! Nahhh, he must be!

SHAMAN @ I'll say it again, thats one mighty fine work of art dude! Have you thought about going pro?

Oh yeah 'nother pic =
CAP VS CAP ; )

LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 12:31 PM
Shaman!

Putting HULK under Brett Ratner movie make BillyBlack mad! BillyBlack SMASH Brett Ratner movie!!
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 12:31 PM
Shaman, give me a couple months of grieving to answer that in a right state of mind. Really bitter bout wolvie cause I thought it was a cant miss.
Jr, Totally agree dude
And black billy, u are a funny mutha trucka
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 12:33 PM
I seriously think the main crew of baddies for an avengers flick should be a group of masterminds... Loki, Red Skull, Mandarin, and possibly the heavily hinted to Leader.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 12:36 PM
BaronBubba- Really? I felt Johnny was the only saving grace???

Thanks LEEE :)) Nice one too :))

Come on BillyBlack, it's not like i said Rush Hour 3 was better than Hulk LOL :P I mean, X-3 had it's flaws but... Hulk Dogs??? I'll give you that Bana was better than Norton... but's it's all i got to give :)

Fair enough JonSolo :)
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:36 PM
adamant877: Hugh Laurie is definitely a stretch for me. Brosnan however, could work - although at 56 its kind of pushing it age wise at least by the time that movie ever got around to serious consideration.

Eric Dane for Captain America.
WeaponX - 6/5/2009, 12:36 PM
LOOKIN FORWWARD TO THOR, I REALLY THINK THAT THEIR DEF SHOULD BE A HULK SEQ, THE LEADERS ORIGIN WAS BASICALLY TOLD IN THE LAST FILM. SO I WOULD PIT THE HULK AGAINST THER LEADER N HIS MONSTERS, THEN HAVE THE FILM END BY HAVIN SHIELD CAPTURE HIM SETTIN UP HIS ROLE IN THE AVENGERS MOVIE. :) ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE LMAO. OR BETTER YET HAVE IRON MAN SHOW UP IN THE HULKBUSTER ARMOR IN "IMMOBILIZE" (LMAO) HIM
10THTIGER - 6/5/2009, 12:37 PM
LEEE- Pro as in ... making money off it??? Naaaahhhh... but i'm open to offers LOL :P
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:38 PM
I see Hugh Laurie as the british comedian still lol! I should really sit down and watch HOUSE an see his acting!

Lol @ SHAMAN @ ; )

LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 12:39 PM
DUDE!!! You better sit down to watch HOUSE or you'll literally fall on your ass... he's THAT good!!!
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:42 PM
@ Shaman... Just like your avatar's jugs, I forgot good things come in pairs. Johnny was true to character, even if a lil over the top in the immature superhero department, lol. I do believe that Gruffud and Alba weren't good picks, tho.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 12:44 PM
Couldn't've been worst honestly!
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 12:50 PM
Laurie is amazing and House rocks but I am not sure about him as Dr. Strange... Then again I wasn't sure about Heath as Joker and we all know how that turned out. How about Stephen Moyer as Strange?
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 12:51 PM
Ok Billy, stay calm. Comparing... Fantastic Four movies.... to HULK... GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHH!!!

Whew! that was close. Shaman, your avatar titties saved the day again. Nice nips by the way.
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 12:53 PM
I think the Australia hint for Captain America was pretty big. Because as you know Chris Hemsworth (who is an Australian) is suppose to be playing Thor in the the new movie, but Marvel has not confimed it is true.... HINT!!!!.... He's probably the Captain and not Thor.

I could be wrong though.
Hookmvp - 6/5/2009, 12:54 PM
CHRISTOPHER LLOYD AS DOCTOR STRANGE!

lol... Not really.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 12:54 PM
I really hope the producers are reading this site. I am all for Jensen Ackles as Cap. On a side note, Jared Padalecki, Sam on Supernatural, looks like Bucky. Kinda weird, but we know they have great chemistry together.

@shaman--your art is absolutely amazing
spidermandk77 - 6/5/2009, 12:57 PM
@BillyBlack, They really just ARE perfect for calming oneself down, ehh?
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 12:57 PM
Wow, Chris Hemsworth as Cap, that would actually be pretty cool.
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 12:57 PM
Cool i'll try an get to see it!!!

Oh ROR @ SirPrize @ Instigator @ I downloaded the first three episodes of TRUE BLOOD!!! Man only seen the first, but i gotta say this is a GEM of a series of what ive seen so far! Can't believe i missed this one! Very nice so far, bit weird an different that the whole World knows about vampires, but very cool! ; )

On MARVEL movies, yeah id love to see DR STRANGE! Actually the animated movie was okay, better than most of the other animated MARVEL movies, though still gotta see IRON MAN one! Anyway get someone like TIM BURTON or DEL TORO on DR STRANGE an it will be pure gold!!!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 1:00 PM
Del Toro did say in an interview that he would like to do a Dr. Strange movie, mentioned something about Gaiman writing it. And I agree, that would be cool.
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 1:02 PM
JersalemJr @ That's so cool about DEL TORO!!!

Hey what do ya mean about Chris Hemsworth for CAP? Darn it, i see him as THOR now lol!

CHRIS-THOR1

LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 1:09 PM
BillyBlack- Yeah they're like a double shot of joy aren't they??? They loosen you up and give you a stiffy LOL :P

spidermandk77- Thank you very much and even though Ackles is my absolute fave for Cap, i wouldn't say no to Worthington OR Hemsworth for that matter. Of course Hemsworth is also perfect for a young Thor.

JerusalemJr- I LOVE hugh Laurey but something doesn't fit for Dr. Strange. Dr. Who maybe but Strange??? I dunno... I always liked Brosnan's style for Dr. Strange so if not him, at least an actor that would give off the same vibe. Could they go younger and take Jude Law or Guy Pierce??? I also heard a Bale rumour...
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:12 PM
Not GUY but JUDE easy!!!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 1:13 PM
Of course Brolin would be a Stellar Strange...
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:15 PM
LEEE777 @ It just sound like Chris Hemsworth is the CAP, cause the havent comfirmed him as Thor yet.
Hookmvp - 6/5/2009, 1:15 PM
ugh...im still terrified that they have zak penn writing this-the same writer who brought us crap like Elektra and Fantastic Four!!!

The way he was talking about an Ant Man film makes me think that maybe he wont be in The Avengers (Michael Rapaport for Hank Pym btw!)

Oh and Wentworth Miller or Jensen Ackles as Cap!!!
JoshW - 6/5/2009, 1:16 PM
cool. i want another hulk movie before avengers
droopy1317 - 6/5/2009, 1:17 PM
i agree that a DR. STRANGE movie with DEL TORO sounds intriguing. but i doubt that will happen soon because of his HOBBIT shit. i could see ant-man being involved in the avengers to spin him out into the edgar wright film. i say they will deffinetly go for the hulk/villian thing, but then will there be a I.HULK 2? i thought ANG LEEs HULK was way way worse than even the god aweful X3 which sucked, dont get me wrong. but i found that movie other than a few fight scenes HORRIBLE! connely is way hotter than liv tyler they shoulda had her in I.H insteada HULK. but having her in I.H would mean comparisons to ANG LEE's snore fest!

also ZAK PENN? doesnt that dude suck anyway?
dellamorte1872 - 6/5/2009, 1:17 PM
I am sorry if this pisses off people from other countries, BUT, Captain America is the one comic movie role that needs to be played by an AMERICAN actor. As much as I like a lot of australian or english actors they can NOT be cast as Cap.
l0rdleg0las - 6/5/2009, 1:22 PM
BmanHall:

Wasn't there an announcement awhile back that Marvel is going to do Moon Knight as a television show? I think Moon Knight would work better as a television show than on the big screen....
SCOURGE - 6/5/2009, 1:23 PM
ANG LEE's HULK wasn't your average superhero movie, it was all about RAGE! An had many depths to it!

Damn i still cringe though about them GAMMA dogs lol

l0rdleg0las @ I totally agree with you, its like having someone other than a british actor playing JAMES BOND! Though BATMANs played by a Welsh man! : D

Hmmmmm yeah @ Hookmvp @
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 1:24 PM
dellamorte1872

You just made the list there, bub.

Dr. Strange needs to have a full duster, so someone dark with a beefy mustache. No to Jude or Guy, Bale won't go for it and Brolin is a tosser. Who else do we have? Clifton Collins Jr.?
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 1:25 PM
l0rdleg0las- Rightfuly so yes. So i guess it's...

JENSEN ACKLES FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!!!
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:25 PM
[frick] THAT Billy Black!!! JASON ISAACS FOR DR. STRANGE!!!
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:27 PM
Jason Isaacs would fit the part well but I tend to think of him as a character you love to hate considering his past roles. Josh Hartnet might make a decent Dr. Strange.
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 1:32 PM
Good point on Isaacs but i hate Hartnet... aaahhh who else...
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:33 PM
Hell, Worthington could be a good Dr. Strange. No? Johnny Depp? Orlando Bloom?
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:34 PM
What about Liam Neeson for Doc Strange?
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 1:35 PM
as long as they can put on an believable american accent i dont think it matters who plays cap or where they're from!!! like LEEE777 said Bale is Welsh (me to!) and that works ok!!! however i cant think of any british or australian actors who could play cap anyway!

Wentworth Miller for Captain America!!!
JoshW - 6/5/2009, 1:35 PM
What about Liam Neeson for Doc Strange?
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 1:35 PM
Actually Baron, that'd be a good one :)
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:38 PM
What if Jason Lewis, Wentworth Miller and Jensen Ackles were in the running??? Wouldn't that be exciting??? :))
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:40 PM
Shaman: that would indeed be awesome! Though I would hate to have to choose between Miller and Ackles!!!!
JoshW - 6/5/2009, 1:45 PM
Yeah it would be hard but kinda cool to follow. Where are all the damn casting rumours for this film??? Thor and GL have been spewin them out left and right!!!
Shaman - 6/5/2009, 1:50 PM
Wentworth Miller has one expression..and thats intensely constipated. Neeson would make a good Strange..the best pic i have heard is Guy Pierce, i think he would rule in many parts.

For Cap? Will Smith!
RorMachine - 6/5/2009, 1:53 PM
@ LEEE777:

Del Toro would be incredible for Dr Strange! I've always thought Oded Fehr would be a pretty good choice for the roll of Dr Strange.
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 1:54 PM
The really good neews is that they are trying hard to fit the whole "MCU" together... hey, side note: check that he is separating the Marvel Universe
SirJediFrank - 6/5/2009, 2:05 PM
Chris Pine for Captain America
Ironbat517 - 6/5/2009, 2:05 PM
Rorschach01: check ou a few episodes of Prison Break-Miller is an awesome actor! Will Smith!?! I dont mind them taking some liberties with comic book characters with their movies but that might be a bit too much, lol! still a spin off with smith as Isaiah Bradley would be freakin awesome!!!

JoshW - 6/5/2009, 2:06 PM
THERES ONLY ONE GUY WHO SHOULD PLAY CAPTAIN AMERICA!-HUMAN TARGET STAR-MARK VALLEY-SOMEONE POST A PHOTO COMPARISON WITH A PIC OF HIM AND CAPTAIN AMERICA, YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN
GUNSMITH - 6/5/2009, 2:13 PM
I don't want Jensen Ackles for Cap, I really don't. Sorry to all the supporters, but no! ;) @Shaman

Never actually heard of Jason Lewis. He at least looks like a Cap candidate to me. If he can act he might be a good choice.
Kyos - 6/5/2009, 2:17 PM
I guess Will Smith could be cool for Isaiah Bradley. But I still like SuperSkrull's idea to have him play The Falcon.
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 2:20 PM
Shaman, just saw Supernatural last night, with the clear intention of "Casting" Ackles, and i must say i did see some Steve Rogers potential as a Leader... but i am worried that if he gets to argue wit RDJ on screen, it may look like the older son fighting with his dad, doyouknowwhatimean?
SirJediFrank - 6/5/2009, 2:24 PM
Josh i watched the first 3 seasons of Prison Break. I didnt think he was bad, but certainly not good enough imo. I was kinda joking about Smith but he really would make a perfect Cap aside from the obvious differences!
RorMachine - 6/5/2009, 2:31 PM
I saw some comments for Jason Lewis as Cap. I haven't seen his acting, but if the running was based on looks, he'd have my vote. He looks just like a real life Steve Rogers. Did you see the chin on that guy!?!? Even Bruce Campbell would have a hard time competing with that!
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 2:31 PM
How bout that dude from Memento
Ironbat517 - 6/5/2009, 2:35 PM
I still want a Simon Pegg Ant-Man deep down inside... Not henry Pym, tho. Maybe Eric O'Grady, the "irredeemable" AntMan?
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 2:51 PM
I say Brad Pitt for Cap. I stand by my vote but if not him then.... ah hell this is for you Shaman.. Jensen Ackles. Jason Lewis has the look though.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 3:09 PM
ironknight27: Totally agree.

adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 3:17 PM
Dude Bubba,

Simon Pegg would be awesome as Antman, I could totally see it.

Ror01

Miller's constipaded face comment buckled me. He's decent but you're right. No dice.

Dr. Strange is a tough call. Worthington's too hot a commodity, Depp and Bloom will butt pirating in the carribean for the next 15 summers, however I could see Liam Neesen. He rocks a good stache, he could carry it. He may be just a pinch too long in the tooth for it.
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 3:17 PM
LEEE777. I think you got something there with Jason Lewis.
Cook - 6/5/2009, 3:18 PM
Depp would be a good Dr. Strange.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 3:23 PM
I think Depp is a tad young... I always think of Strange as a forty+ year old...

Now if this were for Stephen Strange Jr. from the ultimate universe, ok... But I think an older dude works great.
BaronBubba - 6/5/2009, 3:26 PM
Depp might not be bad. But I still think Oded Fehr has the look for Dr. Strange.

Edit: I just heard that Johnny Depp might be in Sin City 3!
BmanHall - 6/5/2009, 3:27 PM
Depp would be phenominal, but he would probably consider the role beneath him... Unless the rumors about Neil Gaiman and Del Toro being involved pan out to be true, otherwise I still say Hugh Laurie.
Give him a dark dye-job, add a couple swathes of grey/white on the sides, slap on a molestache, and WHAMO! lol
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 3:30 PM
Depp would be ok. Hes 45 and its not gonna be made for another 3 yrs probly. And I did hear that Rod wanted him in the 1st sin city as del toros character but Rod said he has a better suited character for him in the 2nd one if it ever gets made.
JonSolo - 6/5/2009, 4:03 PM
Hey, since he's already on the team...

Why not Branagh for Dr. Strange?
BillyBlack - 6/5/2009, 4:07 PM
Bold Mr. Black, very bold. Branagh definately has the skills and if he slims up he would look the part. Never seen him with the Goatee to know for sure though.
JerusalemJr - 6/5/2009, 4:14 PM
Just watched "Valkyrie", and Branagh wasn't bad in that, but I couldn't imagine him as Dr. Strange. He's just too... I don't know... effeminite?
When I see him, I always think of his more DRAMATIC and FLAMBOYANT roles. He's a little too over-the-top for me. Need someone a little more dark, gritty, and serious.
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 4:17 PM

@everyone

Yohon Kalic - 6/5/2009, 4:19 PM
The only reason why they are putting Dr. Strange on the big screen is because Stan Lee really wanted it to happen.
LethalWeapon - 6/5/2009, 4:25 PM
Yeah its Kurt! : D

Heh soz Yohon @ no idea! Do you lot e-mail each other then lol? Man, i can't remember when i last went into mine!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 4:26 PM
Yeah @ COOK @ I think so too!!! He looks to perfect for it!

JOSH @ Wentworth? I couldn't see him as CAP myself man, ive been watching PRISON BREAK from the very start, im pure die hard, but id just see he's character Michael all through it! Though saying that, AVENGERS is 2012 (Geez am i the only one that feels that sounds so in the future but it ain't lol), anyway 2012, so PRISON BREAK won't be as fresh in my mind by then, so maybe he could pull it off! Nice pic by the way!

But WILL SMITH?! Nooooooooooooooooooooo lol! Funny that ive just seen a movie thats based on a true story with him in it an his little kid who carried around a Captain America Mego doll lol, thought id just share that with you. Not a bad movie ; )
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 4:34 PM
@LEEE777- Thats right his son did have that doll. Wasn't it missing a boot?
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 4:39 PM
BaronBubba @

Photobucket

I know its not ANTMAN but its still Hank Prym unless you mean him as the new ANTMAN? Damn, he cant be english though if he's Hank, hope he does a good accent!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 4:45 PM
Ironknight @ Well he lost a shoe, but it wasn't called that lol! Ummmmm, gonna look ; )

...... THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS is what it was called, a very warm an entertaining movie!

Oh yeah, DEPP is perfect for DR STRANGE him in it would sell that movie easy an he'd easy own that role! Especially if DEL TORO was doing it too!!! Perfect team! @ BmanHall @ ; )

SCOURGE @ That's if MARVEL gets off their asses an make that damn MOON KNIGHT show!!! 3 years!?! I reckon it would be so damn good too!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 4:52 PM
I agree. Depp would be great and it would draw a bigger crowd. He almost resembled Strange in a movie he was in a while back.
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 4:58 PM
Whats it called @ Ironknight @ ?
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 5:02 PM
I can't remember but it had something to do with him finding a rare book that happened to originate from hell or something like that. I think it was the Ninth Gate or Ninth Circle.

Okay I just went on google and it is the Ninth Gate. I just looked at it and now he doesn't look like strange so much. I for some reason always remembered it like that in my head. Damn drugs!

You know what LEEE777 we have over 130 comments on this post and no picture of boobs anywhere and it a friday. I am shocked!
ironknight27 - 6/5/2009, 5:06 PM
LEEE777: the pursuit of happyness right? awesome film! i get what you mean about miller and i guess there are other slighltly better choices for cap but he's a good actor and has good leadership type of skills seen in prison break so for me hes a good contender..! michael was such an awesome character i know exactly what you mean about seeing wentworth as just him! still, like you said in a few years, who knows!?!

JoshW - 6/5/2009, 5:34 PM
ironknight27/LEEE777: It was called the "Ninth Gate". He played a book dealer, who got wrapped up in some weird occult group that thought they had found the Devil's bible, and were attempting to unlock it's secrets. Pretty hairy, kinda weird, but really good!

No boobs?! Where's SirPrize when you need him? lol
adamant877 - 6/5/2009, 5:42 PM
Oops sorry guys, i was boob posting you know where lol! Okay wasn't really though i did put up a mini Wonderwoman lol! : D

Ironknight @ I know, no boobs lmao!!!

JOSH @ Yeah, i reckon Wentworth could pull it off easy, now ive thought about it a bit more!

adamant @ Ironknight @ Cheers for that, i'll see if i can get it!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 5:59 PM

Okay, that's not actually a boob pic lol! Damn,,, id so watch a INVISIBLE WOMAN solo movie! How about you lot???
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 6:01 PM
ang lee's Hulk was a classic example of some hollywood director and his idiot screen writer partner thinking that they could greatly improve on the source material. I watched it several times, ('cause it was the Hulk and the Hulk's the man) but even though it had a great cast, looked good on screen and understood that the Hulk is mostly a very angry guy, it was a dissapointing comic book film. I much more enjoyed the Incredible Hulk, because that one had all of the above elements and it respected the source material. Comics were around before comic book films, not the other way around.
Cheesey1 - 6/5/2009, 6:03 PM
Well Cheesey1 @ I kinda enjoyed 'em both! But that's just me lol, yeah they could be improved upon, so hopefully we'll get a HULK 2 i mean 3! : D

But you've got some really good points!
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 6:08 PM
Also, sorry for ranting, but I'm angry 'cause ang lee put my fave character in a bit of a hole, in terms of his appeal to the mainstream, but if a director is given a comic book property but doesen't want to make a comic book film, then he shouldn't work on the f'ing property. He should just go make his alternative lifestyle cowboy flick and leave my fave character alone.
Cheesey1 - 6/5/2009, 6:11 PM
Thanks man. I have both dvds, so the first one wasn't a complete disaster.
Cheesey1 - 6/5/2009, 6:13 PM
Yeah, I'd do..I mean watch the Invisible Woman.
Cheesey1 - 6/5/2009, 6:20 PM
Hey Cheesey @ I know how you feel man! I got big problems with two of my all time favorite characters that recently came out as movies, PUNISHER and WOLVIE but i won't go on about them here lol! I just hope to hell GI JOE is mind blowing!!! Or everyone won't here the end of it! Heh heh!

Yeah, I'd do ,, i mean watch too lol! ; D
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 6:28 PM
Just watch the boobies! : D

Boobies

BETTY @ lol! ; )
LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 6:31 PM

LEEE777 - 6/5/2009, 6:34 PM
Marvel knows exactly what they're doing!!
Angelo - 6/5/2009, 6:37 PM
I'M STILL FOR THE TATUM IDEA!!!
oh and i'm challenging anyone who can cast Dr. strange if anyone can because he's a challenge to all you fan-cast addicts. I GO FOR LIAM NEESON!!!
