Joe Quesada Tells Us How To Bring Captain America Back To Life

Get ready for the next blockbuster hit at the theater, July 22, 2011 Captain America is hitting big screens nationwide. But today the Captain gets to enjoy his own resurrection in the comics.

Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics let's us in on how Captain America will come back to life from being dead in the comic book. Just in time for the movie to hit.

"The original Captain America is finally coming back," Marvel Comics editor in chief Joe Quesada told the Daily News. "We've been patiently planning for this moment for 21/2 years."

Captain America will return next month in a five-comic book series, "Captain America Reborn."

Steve Rogers will again be the best of The Red White, and Blue: Captain America.

Marvel writer Ed Brubaker was shocked from the initial reaction from the fans after they offed the good Captain.

"I was stunned at the global reaction when Captain America was gunned down on the steps of a courthouse.

"It was crazy," said Brubaker. "I had shock jocks calling me up at 5:30 in the morning - they got my home number somehow - and they were like, 'Ed, tell us it's not true, tell us Captain America is not dead.'"

"He's a pop culture icon," said Bryan Hitch, artist for "Captain America Reborn."

"Captain America at heart is a bit of an old-fashioned guy - he looks like Brad Pitt, but smells like your granddad."

Captain America throws his shield into theaters July 22, 2011.

	SirPrize...thats one of my favorite bands Type-O-Negative (Bloody Kisses). Best Album is October Rust. Pitt as the Cap...I think its spot on. Acting skills will not be questioned, he can pull it off. Brad have that 1940's WW2 soldier look of capt and the physique. But they might have to do some Tom Cruise type of camera angle to make him look bigger than he is. Christian Bale and Micheal Keaton pulled off being Bat Man without being huge and overly muculare. 	Well if it happens to be Brad Pitt which I am not rooting because he is too old to be Cap. 	Combine this with recent comments by Kevin Feige(only a handful of actors they are looking at that mean anything here much less "overseas") and it certainly looks like Pitt is the frontrunner. 	I wish they wouldn't kill these iconic characters off if they are just going to bring them back down the road. This has been done more times than Courtney Love. I liked the concept of Battle for the cowl. Yes it is a gimmick to sell more books but at least it didn't span across the dc universe. 	he and the other heroes were reborn from the pocket universe made by franklin...steve really 'died' when they capped him recently so vandalJ is spot on..i think that bringing him back is too soon cuz bucky is tearing up as capn...maybe they could do a nomad storyline with rogers again but bucky deserves the mantle as he helped with secret invasion, he saved america from the skull/zola and lukin, and now he's a member of the new avangers...also we see clint barton as ronin leading the new avengers..i dont think they gave him leadership just to renege it to rogers so soon.. I love CA just as much as the next guy here but why do they write it? why would they write him dead only to plan to bring him back? yeah with the onslaught battle there was a loop hole with richards but call it it what you want. 	First of all, Troy was AWESOME! And it never got the props it deserved. I like Pitt as cap, but I do think he's too old. And if you don't think he's too old now, he will soon be... the guy is like 46, and its not like their going to start shooting tomorrow. I know we're fanboys(and girls), buts lets at least try to be realistic here. Look at it like this... the first X-Men came out in 2000. So, they started shooting in 1998. Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine for 11 years now over 4 movies. You know they want at least 3 out of cap, and switching actors for the lead role is no good. That would put Pitt well into his 50's for the 3rd cap flick. I won't say anything bad about the guy(the cowboy pics says it all), but PLEASE get off of Jensen Ackles nuts already. Really, he's not bad at all, but he's only as good as, I don't know, the the other 100 or so young actors in Hollywood. Awesome in Supernatural, yeah we got it already. I really think Ackles would make an awesome hawkeye, though... Really, though, take away Smallville and his allergy to acting classes, someone with Tom Welling's features and build(not Tom Welling himself, I repeat, not Tom Welling) would be perfect for playing Cap. 	One last thing and I'll shut the hell up. If this is an origin story, the cap should only be in his early to mid 20's. I don't know why everyone thinks Cap started off as some "wheathered soldier". He tried to join the army during WW2 to fight the Nazi's, right...? He was a part of the Super Soldier experiment during WW2, right...? He went on to fight the Nazis and eventually get frozen in ice towards the end of WW2, right...? America was only in World War 2 for 4 years... 	his death in the comics was pointless anyways. he gets shot because iron man was on a power trip, then the skrulls invade and bucky steps right into caps boots. now norman osborne is in charge and everyone wishes the real cap was back. so POOF! now hes magically back. who thought up this crap? if your gonna kill off a major character, at least make it mean something. the only one who even noticeably mourned his death was wolverine (awesome flashback story in wolverine:origins where logan betrays cap and works with the nazis). and theres no way brad pitt is gonna play cap because theres no way they could afford to have pitt, sam jackson, robert downey, and ed norton (not to mention the guy playin thor) in the avengers movie. they gotta find an unknown who is willing to accept the burden as well as the blessings of dawning the stars and stripes. 	It appears you guys have a little battle for who you think should be Captain America. Out of the two I have to say I would lead towards Ackles cause Lewis is way too pretty to be the rough and tough Cap. But I also don't think that Ackles has the acting ability to stand next to RDJ and Norton. I have to say I think the best pick for the job would be Aaron Eckhart. 	See that is why I think Eckhart would be an awesome choice because of his chin, but as I said the age is way too much of an issue so I have to say Shaman made a good suggestion that has me thinking Josh Holloway would be a pretty awesome pick for Cap.
