Ed Norton Says "No Comment" Regarding Hulk In The Avengers

What could this mean for the Big Green Avenger?
When asked whether the Hulk would appear in Marvel's "The Avengers," Edward Norton was less then silent stating "I probably won't comment on that just because they (Marvel) keep a pretty tight rein on what they are letting out,"

While this is true, what does this mean for The Incredible Hulk? Right now it could go either way. Norton is holding back comment because Marvel told him to. Personally I think that The Incredible Hulk will in fact be in "The Avengers." We'll have to wait for an official statement from Marvel to be able to confirm that information. If Ed Norton says "Yes Hulk is in" before Marvel wants that released, then Marvel could fine Norton or kick him off the project all together. If Norton was not attached, then that would have been released a while ago. So If I bet money on the subject, my money would be on Green.

Didn't Kevin Feige say that there would be HULK CHARACTERS in the Avengers, but that it would basically concentrate on Cap, Thor, Iron Man, and Fury (cause everyone knows Fury was just as awesome as the other three *sarcasm* and it couldn't possibly be that Jackson demanded max screen time to be in it.

I remember someon, possibly the guy who directed Incred Hulk saying if it didn't do well enough that he would be the villian in Avengers. And it didn't do that well, so I'm guessing that's what's in store for him...plus I think Norton is out.

I'm sure Hulk will be in it. If they are making a crossover, they will try to use every character they are entitled to.

I hope that Hulk and Norton are both in it, although you're right Norton doesn't necessarily have to be in it. Gunsmith, to be fair to Marvel, the Punisher casting decisions weren't theirs, they were Lions Gate's and the change in actors on the Hulk was 'cause of the switch from Universal to Marvel. I don't see why and how they wouldn't put the Hulk in the Avengers, except for budgetary reasons. Adding the Hulk can only increase the box office appeal.

well rumour is norton will have a cameo in iron man 2 so i figured norton, penn, fav all had this planned out well and early as seen in the cameo endings to iron man and hulk...hulk norton will defn be in avengers i think

Breaking news Christian bale has no comment on batman, this just in Jom favreu has no comment on avengers, news alert there's nothing happening on the superman movie. No news is not news.

Everything is so tightly wrapped that no one will know anything untill Iron Man 2 and Thor are released. They should focus on a Hulk sequal and tie it in from there. Thor is set to come out soon and I guess the Cap movie will be the Avengers film or maybe a solo project (no one knows for sure) and Ant Man? Well I don't really care if they do Ant Man or not. In fact I wouldn't even worry about that character. If Iron Man is getting a sequal, then the Hulk should get one too, or feature him in someone else's movie and give him a secondary treatment as friend or foe. He shouldn't be in Iron Man 2, I think Iron Man should be in a Hulk sequal and throw down with him and S.H.I.E.L.D. and go from there.

that comment is still resonating, that´s why Feige said "We should ask him" when asked how his relationship with Nortan was..

Instigator (nice new avatar ahem!). Hulk will be or will not be in The Avengers, who knows?... but Norton´s involvenment has 0.0% to do with it.:

1.I like him a lot as an actor, but in my opinion, Bana´s Banner was better, closer to the tormented scientist-take. Norton is also a great actor, and did a great job but not my Banner´s first pick..though i agree with people that THE WORSE than can happen is that they bring YET ANOTHER third guy to play Banner, now that would be weird-batman saga like.


2.-It is funny many people is like you, saying: "i hope Norton is in Avengers or as a cameo in IM2, BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE HULK IN AVENGERS " etc.. like if Norton had the copyrights for the character, and as i said, it woul be the worst option, they STILL HAVE the option to recast the actor himself, doyouknowwhatimean?

@SirJedi. I know what you mean and I didn't mean Norton in the Avengers. I just meant Hulk in general. I like the Hulk and I had a joygasm all through the last Hulk so I want another one. Or more Hulk is what I meant. ^_^ But I want Norton as Hulk still because of the fact I don't want it to be like the Batman movies. I agree with you there.

did everyone forget that at the end of the movie stark has an appearnence which basically means that the hulk will be in it and norton will be the hulk...if norton was out he would say that he was out but he isnt so that is why he said no comment. the hulk will be in it its just wether or not he will a villain or part of the squad

actually everyone knows for sure, cap will be his own movie, and the avengers will be their own movie. cap will take place during WW2, more than likely ending with him getting frozen in the ice, he will be found, more than likely, toward the beginning of the avengers, considering that i'm sure they will play up the whole "man out of time" story.

Norton’s contract doesn’t have any such stipulations. Even if a sequel isn’t greenlit, The Hulk will return in the upcoming Superhero team-up film The Avengers. However, I’d be shocked if Norton returned to reprise the role of Bruce Banner."

The Avengers need Hulk, and I hope the man that plays the part is Norton, he did it way better than Eric Bana.

Talking about Bana, I think he vas miscast, he didn't look at all like Banner. He's a great actor and he could another hero better, one that fits his looks, like Cyclops or Daredavil. (Instead of those 2 jerks they hire).

bestof@ yeah it is even way more funnier NOBODY mentiones that scene too often,not even in the ComicCon, like if it was something that didn´t happen.. besides, it wasn´t a clip after the end credits, like SLJ´s cameo... IT WAS part of the movie!! maybe we have doubts of Norton´s involvement, that´s all.

With all the characters and star power in the avengers movies maybe it isnt a good idea to have Norton playing banner, cause thats more screen time they need to dedicate to someone PLUS the hulk screen time. Just have hulk in it and leave Banner out. I really think thats what all the cryptic answers reguarding the hulks involvement in the movie has been leading to

Avengers is gonna be The Avengers + S.H.I.E.L.D. vs. Hulk. Greenie will even figure into Iron Man II. I think, beyond hope, that they are ACTUALLY pulling all of the movies together in a smart, cohesive manner. I cannot wait to see each step slowly unfold...

Need to differentiate Banner (Norton) and the Hulk (CGI) that may appear in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Like the next comic book guy, I would love to see Norton in it. I have a feeling it's going to be a relatively small part since "The Hulk was a part of the Avengers" and Banner was just a shadow.

@BillyBlack. Yes those are mine. One is actually Bill's Sword from Kill Bill and the other is my Star Wars Edition Sword. It has the rebel alliance insignia on it and the Handle looks like a light saber handle. One of my prized possessions ^_^

One of the more common CGC grades is about a 4.0 on most certified issues of Avengers #1, being worth about $708 bucks... Multiply that by 25 and you got $17,700 in cash.

Now, in the rare event of having 25 issues of CGC certified 9.2's laying about, you'd have $230,000 dollars of joy in your closet, seeing as how a single is worth $9,200 bucks.

LEEE, I knew you were joking. Re. the price of the comics, as Baron said it's all about the quality. The CGC mark can be as high as 10 and there's apparently a material difference between a 9.2 and a 10, so I'm sure that a mint Avengers 1 could easily sell for more than $10,000. When the film is released that would increase by quite a bit. You know the old supply and demand principle.

I agree with Jman, Norton is a serious guy and can easily deflect stuff like this. I think if he was out, it would have been out already. I think not too long ago Feige said they were releasing some nice updates later in the year, but my memory is foggy, seems like that was a while ago.

hey, for sure Norton is in ,just think even though marvel is tight liped does not mean they have not been planing this along . They would not cast Norton and have Freakin Ironman make a guest ap. Then not have Ed locked in for a future movie.How much do you think they paid to get Robert DJ to drop in.Or maybe it was in his contract which makes my point Marvel is planing ,its obvious that marvel is on the ball these days

@ superhero9: Agreed. I think MARVEL has Norton casted already. Like you said they have been planning. It would be stupid of them not to have their actors signed to a contract.

But if worse came to worse, I'd rather have a new actor play Banner than Eric Bana returning. I think the guy is a good actor, but MARVEL knew they [frick]ed up when they made that Hulk movie. They obviously tried to burry that pile of shit when they came out with the reboot. If Bana came back, it would be like bringing that movie back.
