Following what had seemed like an endless development cycle, Ant-Man has finally started showing progress recently. Following the casting of it's two main stars, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Edgar Wright has been frequently posting teases of the movie on his blog, 'EdgarWrightHere', including storyboards, and more recently small miniatures that presumably are for shot framing. What's most interesting about one of his more recent posts? It appears to show Michael Douglas' Hank Pym wearing the classic Ant-Man attire. Check it out!

Pretty accurate, right? This would appear to further confirm that we will see Pym suit up as the tiny Avenger and being the first to take advantage of the Pym particles to shrink and grow. The only thing I can see missing is his helmet - but that may just be an oversight of the model. The film will later flash-forward to the present day, where Rudd's Scott Lang takes up the mantle.

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, whilst Michael Pena and Clifton Collins Jr. have also been rumoured for roles in the film. The film is set to film later this year, from a script written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, with Wright directing. Ant-Man will hit the big screen on July 17th, 2015.

@ Marvel

Have no idea. Did a search for "Michael Douglas Ant" and it popped up.
Marvel1997 - 1/31/2014, 9:26 AM
@Supercat- looks like something that would look pretty cool if it were translated well on screen
batz11 - 1/31/2014, 9:27 AM
@SC, LMAO, love the one with the helmet and the Scarface body :)

SuperCat - 1/31/2014, 9:27 AM
@ Marvel

Yeah, I think it could work too!
MrCBM56 - 1/31/2014, 9:28 AM
Sigh. I hope this this movie is good, but all the news I hear set my excitement lower.
SuperCat - 1/31/2014, 9:28 AM
LOL!! @ batz

Sh@t! I just noticed the Scarface body!
Zeek - 1/31/2014, 9:32 AM
No doubt both leading men will have something close to their iconic helmets but just like Cap I doubt they'll be in them that much. Marvel much prefer to show faces. Thor and Loki rarely wear theirs and Hawkeye's is completely absent.

How do you post pics without having to put a link?

"BLOOD ALONE MOVES THE WHEELS OF HISTORY!
Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of meditation...
Which everyone finds during the day...
How long we have been striving for greatness?
Not only the years we've been at war
The war of 'Ites'...
But from the moment as a child...
When we realized that the world could be conquered...
It had been a life time struggle, a never-ending fight!
I say to you, and you will understand, that IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO FIGHT!
WE ARE WARRIORS!
I ask you, once more RISE and be WORTHY of this historical hour!
NO REVOLUTION IS WORTH ANYTHING UNLESS IT CAN DEFEND ITSELF!
Some people will tell you nerd is a bad word...
They'll conjure up images of overweight men and women...
This is out DUTY to CHANGE THEIR PERCEPTION!
I say male nerds....and females, UNITE!
WE MUST NEVER ACQUIESCE, FOR IT IS TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL!
WE MUST NEVER CEDE CONTROL OF THE MOTHER LAND! FOR IT IS TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL!"

the thing , besides the story and how this version of Hank Pym and Scott lang are as characters,is the visualization of the powers, edgar wright has said that he believes ant mans powers can look better on screen then they even do on the page and i believe that
TheAmbassador - 1/31/2014, 10:00 AM

Ehh.. I was really hoping for a Henry Pym more in line with what we saw on Earth's Mightiest Heroes (he was my favorite Avenger) but I can't say I've ever been disappointed in Wright's works, so here's to hoping it won't be too bad

Leslie Nielsen?
ALmazing - 1/31/2014, 10:21 AM
It will be kind of like the beginning of Watchmen perhaps, so I think it would be cool to see the 60's Ant Man is action wearing his classic suit.
AlexanderLykins - 1/31/2014, 10:36 AM
Do not screw up Ant-Man's costume! Give us the Earth's Mightiest Heroes costume and we'll all get along.
rmf1979 - 1/31/2014, 10:41 AM
Freakin EPIC, man!

JoJo1982 - 1/31/2014, 10:44 AM
So who's playing the younger Hank Pym?
COREYxYEROC - 1/31/2014, 10:56 AM
I wonder how they are gonna explain him not appearing in Avengers with Shield...

Maybe this can mean he dislikes shield and because he is coming into the MCU now means that we will see an Avengers against Shield and the government type arc. Shield may have also tried to do something bad to Hank previously, take advantage of his tech maybe like Shield did with the cube in Avengers 1. Captain America 2 alludes to Shield being bad and agents of shield also leave those impressions with Coulsen maybe going against them in the past couple eps... Shield are not what they seem.
AlexanderLykins - 1/31/2014, 10:59 AM
@COREYxYEROC
Maybe because Nick Fury didn't think they could use a 60 or 70 year old man in the Battle of New York?
Starlight - 1/31/2014, 11:14 AM
@SuperCat...... 'DAT DRAWING.... !!!!!
COREYxYEROC - 1/31/2014, 11:20 AM
@AlexanderLykins

LMAO... im pretty sure they can use a genius somewhere at shield
BruceWayneNewton - 1/31/2014, 11:21 AM
So when they say 60s, they are talking about Douglas' age? I think he is even older.
JossWeedOnMe - 1/31/2014, 11:23 AM
Edgar Wright your a prick
