THE FANTASTIC FOUR Shoot To Close Louisiana Streets; Young 'Reed Richards' & 'Ben Grimm' Cast
There's a good chance we can finally see The Fantastic Four cast in costume this weekend, with the Fox/Marvel production scheduled to take filming to the streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana! Check it out
Principal photography on The Fantastic Four reboot has been quietly underway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, since the beginning of May, but come this weekend, the production will finally be moving filming on-location and closing busy streets in the process. Under the working title Henry Street, the Fox production has alerted locals that "sections of two downtown streets will be closed this weekend while [...] crews will be filming scenes using the interior and exterior of the building at 150 3rd Street." The filming notice specified: "From approximately 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, until 1 a.m. Sunday, June 22, police will close the portion of 3rd Street between North Boulevrd and Florida Street, as well as Convention Street between 4th Street and Lafyette streets." Hopefully we'll finally get a look at one, if not all, of the principle actors in costume.
Beyond producer/screenwriter Simon Kinberg reassuring that director Josh Trank's take on Marvel's First Family will be dark and grounded, things have been pretty quiet lately on The Fantastic Four front. However, as filming has progressed, the Internet Movie Database has been adding minor roles in the 2015 film. It seems Reed Richard's (Miles Teller) mother may have a role in The Fantastic Four with actress Mary Rachel Dudley supposedly playing Mrs. Richards. It appears we can also expect to see a young Mr. Fantastic and Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell), with young actors Owen Judge and Evan Hannemann filling those roles, respectively. What do you think?
Anyhow, directed by Josh Trank, The Fantastic Four reboot also stars Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm), Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Toby Kebbell (Victor von Doom), Reg E. Cathey (Dr Franklin Storm), and Tim Blake Nelson (Harvey Elder), and is scheduled for release on June 19, 2015.
