Since late last month, James Gunn has expressed sadness and a little bit of relief that he's near completing post-production of Guardians of the Galaxy, two years after signing on to helm the space epic adaptation. Today, the director announces via Facebook that he's finally finished and he's now gearing up for the big promotional tour leading up to Guardians' worldwide release. "Well, other than finalizing the 3D, I'm officially wrapped on Guardians of the Galaxy and on my way to the airport to fly to Singapore to begin the press wing of this journey. I saw some amazing VFX shots today to wraps things up. I couldn't be feeling more gratitude and love for all the people who have helped create this film. However the audiences take it, there's not a single dishonest or impure bone in Guardians' cinematic body - and that's a hell of a thing for a spectacle film of this size with so many involved. Best experience of my life. Thank you all."

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is presented by Marvel Studios and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film opens August 1, 2014

It's hard to find that kind of commitment nowadays.

And now we wait.

EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 1:54 PM
i believe that James Gunn has made the film he wanted to make..sure.he himself has said he has had arguments with Marvel but just from the look and feel f the film.its dripping to me with style and passion that no "generic" blockbuster has been able to get across to me..i truly hope this film is good and successful..now it is up to us to see how we view the film
Jollem - 7/7/2014, 1:56 PM

DeusExSponge - 7/7/2014, 1:59 PM
Just a few more weeks! August will be when I get a new phone, the chance to watch Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America The Winter Soldier on digital!
rockerdude22 - 7/7/2014, 1:59 PM
Really seems like Gunn put a lot of love and effort into this film. Can't wait to watch it!!
CaptainObvious - 7/7/2014, 2:00 PM
It feels like it was only yesterday when the film was announced at Comic Con back in 2012. When all we had were two pieces of concept art. Now the film is finished and we're only weeks away from finally seeing it.
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:01 PM
CaptainObvious-i have that sometime too.man ..time is going by fast..
TheAbaryMan369 - 7/7/2014, 2:03 PM
If it's done then just release it early. DUH
Kyos - 7/7/2014, 2:07 PM
@Jollem

I officially hope they were tasty, you old sourpuss! ;)

@Ezio

I really, really hope you end up liking the movie! A friend of mine was about equally hyped about TASM2, and we're still working on her trauma.

But damn, this WILL be good! :D
Jollem - 7/7/2014, 2:08 PM
walter white was obviously great about breaking bad. i liked how it delved into jesse's story as the show progressed. i thought the pinkman's story was great
DaVinci31 - 7/7/2014, 2:10 PM
"If it's done then just release it early."

EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:10 PM
Jesse was my favorite character on breaking bad..i loved all the others aswell (Marie i go back and forth on)

KYOS-i hope so too and i hope your friend recovers from her trauma soon, haha
Jollem - 7/7/2014, 2:10 PM
@Kyos - they were decent. i'm thinking this movie will be decent as well. not really expecting a whole lot. probably not as amazing as asm 2, since you brought it up ;)
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:11 PM
oh those are nice tweets from Gunn and Reed (go forth Mr Peyton Reed and give us a good Ant Man film)
Jollem - 7/7/2014, 2:12 PM
i heard people talk smack about skyler. i's like, what the hell? she actually kicked ass. yes, she cheated on walter. these things happen. it's adult stuff
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:14 PM
Jollem-exactly,i heard people say skyler is a bitch..she made mistakes but she loved her kids and fricking stood up for herself..good female character and not gonna lie..she is pretty attractive too
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:15 PM
i never thought breaking bad and guardians will ever be mentioned in the same conversation ever
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:16 PM
though AARON PAUL did audition for the role of Star Lord ..idk how he would have fit the role..though i think they have the right Star Lord in Chris Pratt
DeusExSponge - 7/7/2014, 2:18 PM
Ezio - I hope Peyton Reed can give us a good Ant-Man film, I just need a good film! Not a masterpiece, since Edgar Wright is gone *sobs*, but at least a good one. That alone would shut me up and regret that I ever thought Mr Reed would fail us!
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:20 PM
nice prosthetics on the alien back there in the prison photo
Jollem - 7/7/2014, 2:20 PM
@Ezio - my thoughts, exactly. she did everything she did for the good of her family. she also threw down-cookin' books and whatnot. okay, so she ragged on walter a lil' bit. that was entirely understandable. the cheating-while not cool-was also understandable
JoJo1982 - 7/7/2014, 2:23 PM
Cool
Well I'm heading to see the 17 minute footage right now
SuperCat - 7/7/2014, 2:23 PM
I already know this film will be good.
McGee - 7/7/2014, 2:28 PM
After Gunn is done promoting the Blu-Ray.

EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:29 PM
DeusExsponge-yeah ,i know alot of people just by the trailers dissed his films like Bring it On or Down with love and i dont disagree with them..they dont seem like my type of films..Bring it On was marketed as a cheeleader teen comedy but comments from people who have that film that i have read and seen was that it makes fun of the cheerleader comedies and has a light and humorous take on the subject..Down with Love i have heard is very styilized and is actually an homage to a very specific genre of film: early 60s sex comedies.it and Bring it Down have distinct tones to them..The Break up also seems to be a generic romantic comedy but its a little more atypical then the rest..,so he can find the right voice,it seems for the right film so hopefully he makes a good Ant Man, also he also was going to direct the Fantastic Four film but Fox wanted it to be something more akin to the two FF films we got.. here is an interview..his take sounded interesting..http://www.mtv.com/news/1458473/fantastic-four-screenwriter-spills-super-secrets/
MarvelFan15 - 7/7/2014, 2:29 PM
Only 25 more days left to go until Marvel's next billion dollar hit-to-be comes out, baby! YEAH!!!!!!
JoJo1982 - 7/7/2014, 2:31 PM
@supercat

Same here bruh
I think it's too hard for this movie to be bad. I'm loving everything I'm hearing about this movie
EzioKenway1225 - 7/7/2014, 2:31 PM
