After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” hits shelves September 9, 2014.

Imagine if somehow they manage to make an even better Captain America movie than this one in 2016...my mind and pants would explode.

Gonzo-since Cap is one of my favorite Superheroes and Chris Evans as Captain America is my favorite character in the MCU...i would be very happy
Valkyr - 8/6/2014, 10:59 AM
That looks just like my doorknob...hm, strange.
EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:00 AM
man.. remember when Chris Evans was cast as Captain America..oh man.. the backlash...

also that Winter Soldier theme kicks ass
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:00 AM
even tho this movie has it's fair share of flaws i think it's still pretty decent
yossarian - 8/6/2014, 11:00 AM
Whatever B&Y posted is freaking me out man.
Valkyr - 8/6/2014, 11:02 AM
@Ezio

I agree, Chris IS Captain America!

EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:03 AM
what i find interesting is that the two Cap films so far have been different genres.. Cap 1 was a 40s period piece war movie and Cap 2 was a 70s political thriller..i would find it interesting if the Russos decided to do another genre for the third one
sKeemAn - 8/6/2014, 11:03 AM
That doorknob. So sexy!!
Valkyr - 8/6/2014, 11:03 AM
If it is decent enough for Jollem, it means it is truly high quality.

BO and Rotten can go fvck themselves. Jollem is the deciding factor around these parts.
GizmoEl - 8/6/2014, 11:05 AM
I really hope caps fighting style and strength is the same in Avengers 2. His fighting technique and power was incredible in TWS, whereas he seemed kind of average in the first Avengers movie
Gusto - 8/6/2014, 11:05 AM
LMFAO! You [frick]ers need help.
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:05 AM
i decide that we should all dip robert downey junior in honey and lick him clean
kinghulk - 8/6/2014, 11:05 AM
wasent this posted yesterday?
EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:06 AM
i loved the Cap vs Batroc fight and i love how Cap basically takes Batroc down with a Batroc move
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:07 AM
sorry, i don't think any marvel studios film has even come close to any one of the dark knight movies
AsgardianHobo - 8/6/2014, 11:08 AM
Is it true that WS will appear in AoU? It's going to be so awesome
batesmotel - 8/6/2014, 11:08 AM
Saw this last night. Good movie but not great.
Dotanuki - 8/6/2014, 11:08 AM
On my flight over the weekend CA:TWS was the movie being played. The headphone jack in my seat was awful so I couldn't listen to the movie. Despite no sound, I watched it and enjoyed almost as much as seeing it in the theater. It is that good. All of the action scenes are superb.
Dotanuki - 8/6/2014, 11:09 AM
@Jollem

Why do you need to apologize for your opinion? It's rather unseemly.
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:10 AM
"I really hope caps fighting style and strength is the same in Avengers 2. His fighting technique and power was incredible in TWS, whereas he seemed kind of average in the first Avengers movie"

yeah, i suggested i would like to see cap be more of a super soldier way before tws and i got biotched at by a bunch of kids. go figure
EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:10 AM
i remember Evans clarifying that he wants to focus more on directing but if Marvel need him to be Cap again.. he will gladly do it.. and in interviews.. u see that he gets Cap so well.. i think the best thing he said was that if this character wasnt Captain America..he would still do it
sKeemAn - 8/6/2014, 11:10 AM
^^ That move was so clean. I can only do that when I'm in my drunken boxing form.
Pasto - 8/6/2014, 11:10 AM
He's throwing another tantrum.
sKeemAn - 8/6/2014, 11:12 AM
He whoops his ass with a shield on his back. Beautiful!
EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:12 AM
in Cap 1.. he hasnt really trained with his new abilities so he is more of a brawler but in Avengers its a mixture..he has acrobatics but he is also a brawler too.. he had picked up some moves but since Cap 2 takes place 2 years after Avengers..he has learned and enhanced his abilities
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:13 AM
@Dotanuki - would you rather me just act like the ms gang and just simply shit on things?
AsgardianHobo - 8/6/2014, 11:15 AM
@Pasto

Just let him tire himself out. He'll probably go take a nap soon

@Jollem

The wah wah wah train is arriving! All aboard!!!!!
EzioKenway1225 - 8/6/2014, 11:15 AM
AsgardianHobo-Whedon said he will be mentioned in the film
Dotanuki - 8/6/2014, 11:19 AM
@Jollem

For the sake of civility, of course not. That being said, you do seem to enjoy playing the contrarian in the Marvel threads.

I find it unbelievable that, in your mind, not ONE MS movie is close to the DK movies. I'm not going to waste time trying to convince you one way or the other but your judgment is totally called into question. I don't feel that The Dark Knight Rises was good at all. But hey, you can't dispute taste.
AsgardianHobo - 8/6/2014, 11:22 AM
@Ezio

Nice. I thought I heard a rumor about a WS stunt double on the AoU set? Maybe it was bs.
Pasto - 8/6/2014, 11:26 AM
@Asgardian
Here's to hoping.
TheBrownHornet - 8/6/2014, 11:26 AM
Someone say something about small outrage when Evans was cast?

I remember him being Johnny Storm. He was damn good in that role and I liked seeing him there, but when I found out he was Cap, I knew he would be good, though I was skeptical. He has been nothing short of marvelous in that role. Can't wait to see more. He's a better Cap than Bale is Batman, IMHO.
Pasto - 8/6/2014, 11:28 AM
GOTG gives The Dark Knight a run for its money I'm my opinion.
Jollem - 8/6/2014, 11:29 AM
@Dotanuki - i don't give even 0.0001% that is given to other things and people can't handle it. it's very weird. a hundred people can drop their trousers and take a poopy on certain things every single time. i make a snide remark once in a while and people freak out

okay, i gave it a good think. the incredible hulk and the winter bucky are close to the dark knight trilogy's level. like...not on their level, but if they stood on their tippy toes they could manage to see the band through the crowd. ya dig?
Dotanuki - 8/6/2014, 11:29 AM
I don't remember any sort of hubbub about Evens casting. I do remember people getting worried when supposedly John Krasinski (The Office)was being seriously considered.
