Actually liked the faked Spider-Man better than how this sounds. Alwasys cool to see Thanos but this feels a bit meh... Did he get the gauntlet from Loki?

After how lame Thanos was in GOTG, I have no interest in this character.

I really hope Marvel improves the CG look of Thanos. He looks like a cartoon. And Brolin needs to bring down the theatrics in his voice. He should sound cold and confident, almost detached, except when speaking to Lady Death, in which case he should be obsequious and fawning.

That's THANOS.

@Desrow

Your repetitive comments are the only "lame" thing here.

Of course Thanos is pathetic for not getting any infinity stone and basically not doing anything besides sitting on his chair (see GOTG HISHE). But, honestly, is someone surprised? is the kind of villain that Marvel has delivered us. They have moved forward with their "heroes over villains" motto and it's ok, but in that case is only natural to feel underwhelmed. Thanos is just a generic villain at the end. Marvel moved from generic villain of the week to generic villain of two weeks.

Even Gunn wrote better dialogue for Thanos, and that was with countless cliches

Actually, this does sound pretty lame. In fact, all of the Thanos MCU stuff has been pretty lame.

@thepowercosmic

They brought him TWELVE movies before he's actually the villain. Any time we talk about infinity stones (aether in thor 2 especially, but also the tesseract, etc.) the story and dialogue is completely forced and unnatural.
The entire plot of the avengers doesn't even make sense because Marvel wanted to introduce him that early.
I'll be re-watching GotG for the first time tonight, haven't seen it since it first came out, but I seem to recall that he really bogged down the villains in that one too.

I'd rather have it be the gauntlet seen in Thor with the stones in place, but they are not "powered" yet until Thanos actually retrieves the gems.

Uggg why can't more Marvel villains be like the Kingpin in DD and not generic like this dude?

It's cool, extremely out of context. Good luck explaining how he got it. This scene should've gone like this:

Scene opens with a shot of the doors to ODIN's throne as we hear a massive boom, people screaming, lots of sounds from metal and other weapons coming in contact with each other. Then slowly the camera spins to LOKI, sweating and panicking as the chaos beyond the doors ensue. Suddenly, the doors slam wide open as we see two feet, camera panning up slowly to reveal THANOS, walking towards LOKI.

Does this mean we get Thanos Quest between now and Infinity War? Would be cool to see him pop up here and there to swindle infinity stones away from beings in Guardians/Ragnarok

@TheAmbassador I know right? Whedon is STILL awesome. He doesn't lose any of it. Cabin in the Woods, Serenity, Avengers, AoU, Buffy, Firefly Dollhouse...the list goes on.

[friclk] Whedon? [Frick] these bandwagon hopping wannabe nerds. Sit the [frick] down, cuz when the superhero fad ends I'll still be attending these movies, while you pretenders sway with the rest of the sheep.

I'm glad Thanos is actually getting off his butt and doing something because he's been portrayed as this pathetic guy relying on others to fail at getting the gems.

I'm glad the Russo's are taking over with Thanos.

Mate, don't complain about whiny CBM kids when a few articles ago you were spamming 'Batman ft. Superman: rush to the Justice League'

This just makes you a hypocrite.
