She's actually a pretty talented actress (watch Drinking Buddies and even Tron) and has great screen presence. She was blond in The OC, remember?

Apparently, Marvel wanted her for Guardians of the Galaxy.

From imdb (not sure how accurate is their trivia section):

"Olivia Wilde turned down the role of Gamora, while Gina Carano, Rachel Nichols and Adrianne Palicki auditioned before the role went to Zoe Saldana."

She's one of my favorites. To be honest, while I'm pumped about a Captain Marvel movie especially because I want to see more female representation in super-hero movies, I'm not the character's biggest fan. Olivia would actually make me 100% excited for it.

She claims to be a fan and then says something inaccurate. The MCU version of Black Widow isn't flawless, she has some deeps scars which are addressed in the movies. Could they have been developed more, sure. Widow's action sequences are choreographed to be flawless, that is it.

Going off topic....But European porn star Sophie linx looks exactly like Olivia. That Sophie is a wild one.Just Thank me later ;) :) That girl is very nasty...

I thought The Winter Soldier gave some relevant complexity to Black Widow, so I'm not sure which female characters she's referring to. In general, complex characters tend to be better characters. I think it's why a subset of comic book fans don't like Captain America and Superman, but love Spider-Man and Batman.
