Minor X-Men: First Class Filming Details & Official Logo Revealed?

Here are minor details of what may be filmed first for FOX's X-Men: First Class. And possibly the first look at the mutant flick's official logo. Check it Out!

Principal photography commenced on Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class this week, at Pinewood Studios & surrounding locales in England. And now according to the sources of "X-Men" media blog site XMF, we may know what the filming crew has first on the schedule.

"Some of the first scenes being filmed involve Charles Xavier attending Oxford University debating the mutant phenomenon, and Erik Lensherr dealing with the horrifying events in Auschwitz via a flashback sequence."

In other First Class news, there has been low resolution image floating around that many believe is a concept, if not official, logo for the upcoming mutant "silver-age" adaption.



Clearly it isn't anything too extravagant or mind bottling, but if accurate, at least we have an idea of what direction they're going design wise. And the direction doesn't seem too diverse from the previous "X-Men" trilogy.

Anyhow, X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy (Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), January Jones (Emma Frost), Nicholas Hoult (Beast),Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), Lucas Till (Havok), and Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw), Edi Gathegi(Darwin), Jason Flemyng (Azazel), Rose Byrne (Dr. Moira MacTaggert), Zoe Kravitz (Angel), and Oliver Platt (the man in black).

And in Matthew Vaughn's direction, the mutant-flick hits theaters June 3, next year!

Thanks guys, @Freshman well it's modernist style but I based most of it on the style of Samurai Jack which I was obsessed with as a kid and made me wanna be a graphic arts major haha.

i dont have a lot of faith in this flick either....however i will see it most likely on dvd unless the trailer ups the ante and i see something good in it....but let fox butcher this shit we'll have marvel studios back on it once they gain the rights back and we'll eventually see a decent xmen movie...i've been a fan since the cartoon as a kid...its what got me into comics in the first place and its a shame that we haven't recieved a decent movie by now...especially the way we have gotten many other good comic flicks...also i believe x men would work as a bad ass hbo series or something it'd work nicely i think

@UnfriendlySpidey That's the only way to go because I'm not a die-hard X-men fan, so I'm gonna walk into the theater with low expectations. (a movie usually turns out good when I do that) haha!

I'll give the trailer a chance to impress me. If the trailer looks exciting I'll give it a chance, if not then I'll wait for HBO to show it.

I hope this bombs at the boxoffice. The only way FOX will take notice is if the bottom line takes a nut kicking. Then, maybe, they'll pull their heads out and just [frick] off. I also hope DVD sales are poor so there is no chance for them to make much profit back in that department either.

This is going down in CBM history as the most talked-about hated CBM movie ever due to the decisions in the story direction regardless of the cool actors signing on board on it. If it does indeed come out as a flop, I pity the actors involved in it... but oh well, at least they still get paid for work regardless of the fact.

One can only hope that if this does bomb, the full rights go back to Marvel and they can make their own definitive X-Men movie that wipes the slate clean.

....on a side note: I know its poor form to bash a movie before we completely see the finished product, but don't blame us that do because the title alone is what turns us off due to the fact that a lot of us wanted to see the original starting line-up team from the 1963 comic book cover translated as an origin story for the big screen.... rather than this convoluted out-of-comic-book-continuity fiasco.

They shouldn't have named it "X-Men: First Class" in the first place to begin with if they were gonna do something this radical.

I have a sneaky suspicion this film will be pretty good (regardless of how it treats the source material) and that it will do well, if not critically, but financially.

Many of the haters will slowly become interested, then pleasantly surprised and then finally supporters of the film.

And lo, much humble pie will be eaten.

@Orphix... The same can be said to those that say its going to be good in reverse if it comes out as a major facepalm of epic proportions.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine came out grossing at least over 300 million dollars reportedly overall but still panned with most of the fans and critics in regards to story treatment. It did well financially to warrant a sequel even... but some still hated the first movie because of the liberties some whackos did with some of the characters. Say what you will, the CBM community is fickle on stuff like story treatment and development. You can't please everyone... especially if you hate it enough with a passion.

Treating the source material right was what made Iron Man 1 one of THE best Marvel CBM to date in spite of its updated tweaks, followed by Norton's Hulk to an extent... from what we've all read about some of the actors and actresses that bailed out on X-Men: First Class after a read-through, even a slug would have to know something fishy was already going on. I admit that I'll watch it to see just how far away they've got from the source material and see if its still got any redeeming qualities... and if it doesn't, then you know they'll never live it down from the fans.

I had a dream that I saw this movie and it was absolutely horrible. Everyone walked out of the theater ticked off. I don't think it's going to be very good, but I have faith it'll be better than that.

This movie is the most hated CBM of all time before we even seen a trailer. I wonder what is going through Matthew Vaughn and Brian Singer's head when they read this, I bet they are thinking we should have at least added Scott and Jean.Also look how much they are rushing this film to come out. They just started filming so they have another 5-7 weeks so that Give them from Mid october to June for post production and to market the film. Thor and GL have been done for a Month now in filming and Cap is reaching its climax in filming. Does Fox actually believe that First Class Will compare to the other three honestly. They should have just pushed this film for a November release of 2011, to have at least a chance in fighting off Thor, Green Lantern, Transformers 3, Captain America, The last Harry potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. I hope Xmen first Class will not even make the top spot on opening weekend
