Continuing Yesterday's shoot for Sony's reboot The Amazing Spider-Man in Brooklyn, New York, latest set images depict of the star Andrew Garfield, director Marc Web, and finally actor Rhys Ifans, whose portraying Dr. Curt Conners; The Lizard. Courtesy of a heads up from 'RIMBreaks', formally 'RealIronMan, as well local J Anthony Hall via Twitter, check out the images below.

I was just reminded of the fact that Dr. Curt Conners has only one arm, therefore the green glove-like covering his arm is most likely to CGI his arm out. So, unfortunately theres no further tease of The Lizard.

The Amazing Spider-Man focuses more on Peter Parker’s high school days and the development of his powers while navigating the troubles of a brainy geek in high school. And starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

Damn, fingers crossed this is near as good as SPIDER-MAN 1 & 2!

I [frick]ing hope it is!

Sweet find @ FRESH!

Thank [frick] we have LIZARD instead of GREEN GOBBIE again!

Cameo KRAVEN appearance plzzzzz Sony! ; D
darkknightlegend - 5/8/2011, 11:46 AM
Im guessing this is after Pete gets his powers since the glasses are missing. Loving the green hand on Ifans to edit out :P
And agreed @LEE I wanna see Kraven!
soberchimera - 5/8/2011, 11:57 AM
If we get Kraven in the next one we should get Chameleon or Rhino too since they're all Russian.
SuspenseSmith - 5/8/2011, 11:58 AM
Hopefully Sony has learned their lesson just as WB did with Batman. It seems like they are taking notes from Nolan's reboot.
Boyle360 - 5/8/2011, 12:00 PM
Is the green on his hand to add a claw or a deformed hand or something? Because it wouldn't be to edit it out. Most if not all of his arm is supposed to be missing and you can clearly see there's an arm in his sleeve.
Just wondering what they're trying to do.

[love] the reboot.
Dynamo - 5/8/2011, 12:06 PM
@Boyle360
I think it's actually to digitally add the arm as a stump. You know, because it's supposed to be missing.
marvel72 - 5/8/2011, 12:07 PM
yeah bring on the lizard.

@ leee777

i wouldn't mind seeing the green goblin again,as long as he doesn't look like a power ranger.

green goblin will show up sooner or later because he's got to kill gwen stacy.
SeaSerpentine - 5/8/2011, 12:08 PM
I'm dying to see what The Lizard will look like!

how so?
GrimeKid - 5/8/2011, 12:09 PM
I wonder what Peter is giving him.
Or what he's giving Peter.

Also I would assume Conners' hand is deformed or missing & that's why he's experimenting with lizards so he can grow a new limb.
What could possibly go wrong with that plan?
spidermonkeyman - 5/8/2011, 12:13 PM
this movie looks promising. Especially Andrew Garfield. He is the perfect choice for Peter :)
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/8/2011, 12:14 PM
The Lizard is going to be [frick]ing vicious!:)

Kraven & Chameleon, Morbius, Hobgoblin or Electro as the villain in the next one!
Joseph Gordon Levitt would be great Morbius or Electro!
nekron010 - 5/8/2011, 12:21 PM
@soberchimera61 they should use the gauntlet and grim hunt story lines if they want to use kraven and chameleon.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/8/2011, 12:22 PM
TheIntruder@ More vicious version of Green Goblin would be awesome!

Iain Glen as Norman Osborn / Green Goblin

spidermonkeyman - 5/8/2011, 12:22 PM
next villain should be kingpin and green goblin. This way they can introduce Harry as Peter's new college room mate and kill of Gwen.
soda9 - 5/8/2011, 12:28 PM
Wow! Ifans looks like Connors a lot! I'm so excited! I'm kinda diggind Curt's glasses and blonde hair!

And yes Green Goblin in a sequel played by Iain Glenn!
spidermonkeyman - 5/8/2011, 12:30 PM
@theintruder-really that sucks!!
jazzman - 5/8/2011, 12:31 PM
@TheIntruder

they should use Silvermane in the next movie. they need a crimelord running New York.

thesymbiote - 5/8/2011, 12:38 PM
To people talking about villains for the next movie. Lets first hope the Lizard comes out good!!! And then, next year we can talk about that. lol
thesymbiote - 5/8/2011, 12:38 PM
.....double post.....
Toshitheshadow - 5/8/2011, 12:43 PM
I think I understand this whole scene now. Spidey isn't swinging for swinging's sake, he's chasing someone(Namely the Lizard). He finds the lizard and has some battle with him and he gets thrown out of the bus. The lizard lunges at him and he dodges and stops a taxi in the process. That's where the scene of him jumping over the taxi and swinging comes into place. He then continues to chase the Lizard and the battle until the scene ends. As for Gwen and Peter, the pics of Pete with the glasses are before he becomes Spider-man. His uncle talks to him on the rooftop(because he has already manifested his powers after the accident at Oscorp, where he works as an intern). His uncle not too long after dies and Spider-man is born. :D Really nice plot. I'm not saying this is exactly how it's gonna be but, it's pretty close.
DarrkEvil - 5/8/2011, 12:43 PM
Rhys Ifans looks like Sam Raimi :D
AaronX - 5/8/2011, 12:47 PM
In the first pic it looks like Garfield is selling weed to Ifans !!!
DarrkEvil - 5/8/2011, 12:54 PM
It's a quite interesting fact that Chris 'Thor' Hemseworth and Andrew 'Spiderman' Garfield share the same age..
soda9 - 5/8/2011, 12:56 PM
@Toshitheshadow
That actually sounds really good!
Dynamo - 5/8/2011, 12:57 PM
@TheIntruder
I'd rather save Goblin till the third one. I'd prefer to see Mysterio and/or Electro.
Wetboy40 - 5/8/2011, 1:01 PM
In the spectacular spiderman tv series Doc Connors had a prosphetic arm, They could be doing that and removing his arm due to the green glove and replacing it with computor grahpics.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/8/2011, 1:02 PM
Ifans is great choice as Connors! Its cool that he get the role!

Glen is great actor and very underrated. The role of Osborn would be great chance for him to shine.
He was the best parts in Resident Evil movies too!
Dynamo - 5/8/2011, 1:09 PM
@TheIntruder
I prefer that to be the end of this trilogy, with Mary Jane. The second trilogy should set up Venom.
SemutA - 5/8/2011, 1:16 PM
one thing I really dig before a movie comes out is reading the forums and comments and how everyone thinks they know the plot of the movie and how its going to unfold. And it cracks me up when it finally comes out and just how wrong everyone is to the story line... I love it... it happens every time!!! hahaha
smokahontas - 5/8/2011, 1:20 PM
hell yeah! and Gwen looks hot in that picture! uhhhhhhhh
Spiderbite - 5/8/2011, 1:29 PM
Kinda worried about what the Lizard will be like. Too much CGI? Too fake? I just really hope they make it work.
thewolfx - 5/8/2011, 1:40 PM
wish i could get behind this movie more ,but that damn suit , i just cant get past the fact it looks like daredevil designed it himself :/
jazzman - 5/8/2011, 2:06 PM
@ELgUaSoN

they cant use Kingpin cause his locked at FOX Studio
Spiderbite - 5/8/2011, 2:32 PM
@fsucsu

Very true but sometimes too much CGI can make things look choppy. I mean I can't really imagine any fight scenes in broad daylight if the Lizard is mostly CGI. Maybe it's just me, just a tad worried.
avenger15 - 5/8/2011, 2:42 PM
This looks like it could be a very good reboot, but I need to see a trailer frist before I am entirly sold on the reboot.
garrett hedlund as Eddie Brock/Venom for a sequel.

ComicTheMovieMan - 5/8/2011, 2:51 PM
There is going great comicbook movies for 2011 and 20121
MovieTheaterLad - 5/8/2011, 3:00 PM
Apparently Dr. Curt Conners spliced his DNA with that of a pickle!
Wildaniel - 5/8/2011, 3:05 PM
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield look great as Stacy and Parker, this movie is going to be GREAT!!!
Ryden - 5/8/2011, 3:18 PM
Although I think its safe to say GG will be the big bad in the sequel, I would love to see Mysterio or Electro.
Havok2 - 5/8/2011, 3:44 PM
@Ryden

I agree with you on the Electro front!
tehdude - 5/8/2011, 3:54 PM
idk, i'm still iffy on this, but these pics make Andrew Garfield look less douchey than he looked in the last set of pics. the lizard'll be cool though... i hope.
tehdude - 5/8/2011, 3:57 PM
@Dynamo- second trilogy? i highly doubt this is going to be a saga. if anything, i agree with Intruder. Kill gwen in the sequel... if there is a sequel.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/8/2011, 4:15 PM
Im dying to see Morbius against Spidey on the big screen!;)
tehdude - 5/8/2011, 4:38 PM
@Prot3ctor- No! No venom or carnage! they suck. and no! there aren't going to be two trilogies! Stop speculating for future films when this film hasn't even been released! sorry, but expecting there are going to be six films is a little wierd. Garfield is going to be a little old by the time they get to part three. say nothing about a second trilogy.
ninjacarm - 5/8/2011, 4:43 PM
I love these new pics, haters get lost.

Raimi's films were mediocre.

Time for Amazing.

'Nuff Said.
NeoBaggins - 5/8/2011, 4:49 PM
Ryden It won't let me post a response to you in that other thread. But I did respond. Either it's a glitch, post have length limits, or my views didn't match up with the person who created the thread and they have the ability to silence what they don't like, like a cowardly dicator. I don't know. Saved the response though.

tehdude - 5/8/2011, 4:57 PM
@Prot3ctor- yeah, they're not going to do that. sorry. this won't be a saga, no matter how much you think there should be.
EditNinja - 5/8/2011, 5:17 PM
"No, Peter, don't shake hands with him - you don't know what it looks like yet"
barber2323 - 5/8/2011, 5:57 PM
Anybody ever wonder why Norman had cornrows in the first place?
