A foreign site in association with Yahoo Movies has published a new character poster from Matthew Vaughn's much-anticipated X-Men: First Class prequel, featuring Hank McCoy in his "Beast" form. Check it out below.!

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men. Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, and January Jones, the film releases June 3!

wolfman has the blues lol
Hellsing - 5/19/2011, 5:26 PM
is it me or has beast's appearance been inconsistent in the trailers and pics, one minute he looks like the wolfman the next minute he looks like a grey wookie and at times he actually looks like beast well the feline version, which looks good, hopefully they can be a bit more consistent.
PaulRom - 5/19/2011, 5:31 PM
Looks cool.
DCMarvelFreshman - 5/19/2011, 5:32 PM
@Hellsing I must agree. I can't wait to see what he looks like in the final cut.
OverCross - 5/19/2011, 5:38 PM
That's funny.

Should it be?
soberchimera - 5/19/2011, 5:49 PM
It's the long lost Jonas Brother.

Blackbird - 5/19/2011, 7:15 PM
Interesting. His name is BEAST... He has the letter X in his back, and is member of the X-men... a team of super-gifted guys under the control of Xarles (Charles) Xavier (how many Xs don´t? The coincidence it´s that X is the same as 6 in the Pythagoras´s gematria... Their enemies are part of the HELLclub. I was reading the spawn´s profile... a HELL general which made a pact with a demon (among other stuff)... In Dr. Strange´s profile we see a lot of pictures of this "superhero" doing the devil´s hand sign to evocate his "powers" (just the same of spiderman web shot). One of his magical armors have a trident in the chest. He uses black magic and is guarded by an all-seeing-eye... Take a serious look at daredevil, hellboy, etrigan, etc. They are demons! Maybe I going crazy, or maybe we are seeing an invasion of ocultism (satanism) in the comics... It´s that really necessary? Sorry for any english mistake.
RedeyeJedi - 5/19/2011, 7:16 PM
He look's fine and most of you people are just whiny little girl's.
ironpool007 - 5/19/2011, 7:35 PM
Of all the things they seem to be getting wrong in this flick, Beast actually looks cool. I know his transformation comes later in X-Men mythology then presented here, but he still looks kind of cool.
Owlman88 - 5/19/2011, 7:36 PM
Looks like the cousin of

I pity the guy for all the constant makeup changes he's had to sit through throughout the whole film. @Blackbird, you're thinking way too much into it mon ami. A lot of things can be taken either negatively or with an open mind. I don't care if someone is a neo-pagan, wicca, muslim, catholic, protestant, etc as long as they abide and respect other people and don't act too self-righteous on certain topics AND don't hide atrocities they've committed in the name of their religion that it is supposedly the will of their god/scripture to kill/slander/etc the unbelievers. I've had enough of that in the middle east and vietnam campaigns where some no-life shitheads sometimes sends kids with bombs strapped to themselves to kill innocents all for a "greater cause".
Godzillafart - 5/19/2011, 8:02 PM
AMAZING LOOK HERE!!!!!!!

I HAVE THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF X-MEN FIRST CLASS NOT ALREADY RELEASED!!!!TO SEE IT WILL COST YOU ONLY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!

IN RELATED NEWS...WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE SURPRISE HIT OF THE SEASON AND ONE OF THE BEST CBM IF THEY DIDNT HAVE TO BLOW THEIR LOAD PREMATURELY ALL OVER OUR FAN FACES?
GUNSMITH - 5/19/2011, 9:09 PM
THUMPER DUMPER!

TRUTHFULLY, ITS AN AWESOME MAKE UP JOB. IF ITS HORRIBLE, HOW WOULD YOU MAKE IT BETTER?
hushh - 5/19/2011, 9:57 PM
you're all right about him, he looks like the bastard child of the wolfman and the grinch but cmon that is pretty cool
skidz - 5/19/2011, 10:12 PM
At least they're TRYING to make him look authentic in this one. Kelsey Grammar's great, but putting him in makeup like that wasn't a great idea. Then again, X3 wasn't a great idea, anyway.
Creature - 5/19/2011, 10:31 PM
Enlighten me as to what more you want out of Beast's appearance.
Betty - 5/19/2011, 10:47 PM
I want to see beast-man as beast.
Jefferys - 5/20/2011, 12:03 AM
He just looks to feral, if that's possible? Liked the x3 look cause he seemed, more human, almost-ish
theFACE - 5/20/2011, 1:55 AM
he looked to human in X3, he looked like he just had blue hair and skin. i'm liking the fact that he looks feral, i just hope he doesn't put on some stupid voice.
Orphix - 5/20/2011, 4:01 AM
I'm interested how they are gonna connect this guy to the Kelsey Grammar beast. Is it gonna start to look more human the more the years past by. Kind of trying to work on a cure?

Might see that in sequels.
marvel72 - 5/20/2011, 5:07 AM
thunder,thunder thundercats HO!
Gmoney84 - 5/20/2011, 5:59 AM
I think they will try to say he has been working on a cure for years which allowed him to look more human leading up the time of Last Stand.
AlexDeLarge87 - 5/20/2011, 6:07 AM
Looks cool enough!:)

Looks like they skip the part where Hank just looked like a blue man and go straight to the final form where Hank looks like a Beast.
sagekilz - 5/20/2011, 6:09 AM
uffff, a mean mmuppet
MovieTheaterLad - 5/20/2011, 6:33 AM
@Orphix

I'm guessing that. In 616, the mutant cure came about AFTER he became cat Beast, so seeing as he's already hard at work on a cure, perhaps he finds a way to a least make himself look less feral and maybe a bit more ape-like.
blahblahboy - 5/20/2011, 7:21 AM
not bad just get ride of the harelip and he's perfect
GUNSMITH - 5/20/2011, 7:31 AM
LOGAN, I UNDERSTAND MY FRIEND..BUT UNDERSTAND ALSO ITS FOX, YOU TELL ANYONE IN THIS ROOM, EVEN GALACTUS HIMSELF WILL TELL YOU, "FOX, FOX WITH YOUR SOURCE MATERIAL TO MAKE MONEY"...SAD BUT TRUE.
NextHero08 - 5/20/2011, 10:21 AM
A BLUE WOLFMAN...YAY....OTHER ONE WAS WAY BETTER
gambgel - 5/20/2011, 11:28 AM
he looks like a child Beast, lol

not bad at all, I suppose.

I think he will look better in the next sequels, being older and all of that...
megabatfan - 5/20/2011, 2:11 PM
@ Orphix...that makes alot of sense.
Also, isn't it wierd how his human form has ape like feet, but when he further mutates be becomes more feline
fullmetal - 5/20/2011, 2:48 PM
i LOVE the look!!! amazing, you can't even see the actor under all that great make-up work, better than x3's beast!
geekbear - 5/23/2011, 4:38 PM
@Puyguy I wouldn't necessarily say that Beast is a S$#%%y character for the following reasons: Animal-like physiology
Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability, senses and dexterity
Genius-level intellect
Regenerative healing factor
Pheromone manipulation, razor sharp claws and teeth

In addition he cured the Legacy Virus, a genetic virus that was killing off mutants.

Beast also possesses a brilliant intellect. He is a world-renowned biochemist, having earned a Ph.D. in biophysics and genetics,[48] and is the man who cured the Legacy Virus as I said earlier. He frequently functions as both field medic and in-house physician for the X-Men, despite not technically having an MD. His intelligence and expertise in genetics rival that of Professor X, Moira McTaggert, and Kavita Rao. Despite this, he has never received a Nobel Prize or been elected to the United States National Academy of Sciences. A Renaissance man, McCoy is well-versed in many fields including languages (fluent in English, German, French, Latin, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, and Russian), literature, philosophy, psychology, and sociology, history, art and art history, anthropology, linguistics, and music, as well as in political science and economics with a special affinity for science and technology and a penchant for quoting literary classics. His vast scientific knowledge ranges from theoretical physics, quantum mechanics, differential equations, nanotechnology, anatomy, biomedicine, analytical chemistry, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering to the construction of a hyper-magnetic device. An electronics expert, he often repairs Cerebro and makes upgrades to the Danger Room settings.

Yea, I would say he's far from inferior ;)
