@theWorld Are you forgetting that captain America carries a shield that can block bullets, and has fast enough reflexes to use it?
MikeHawk - 7/14/2011, 5:31 PM

I agree with Intruder's comment. I have seen the future and Cap finally gets a proper movie. I think Marvel did a great job in turning 2 hard to adapt characters into 2 great looking movies.
Pitydafool - 7/14/2011, 5:43 PM
@Negro: I agree with your agreement. Cap looks seriously sweet. I hope it turns out well. If you have seen the future. Can you tell me what 2012 summer movie will be better?
BTW...I pity them fools still pimping GL. GL is in the past. Start the marketing for the next member of The DC Cinematic Justice League. Its right around the corne....I mean just save your money for Bats and Supes....Sucka
MarkV - 7/14/2011, 5:44 PM

@Pity: Yes I do know which movie "WINS" next summer. My fellow future seer Nyguenodamus already has the bootlegs.
Coldblood6 - 7/14/2011, 5:55 PM
MY FELLOW MARVEL FANS!!! The real enemy is in here. Butthurt DC/GL fanboys (not all DC fans) trying desperately to hate on this movie. They want it to fail so that it doesn't become a 3-0 whitewash. Do not let their lame criticisms irritate you or get you down. Hold your head up high as a proud MARVEL fan and rejoice in the coming of CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!!!
Valar1 - 7/14/2011, 5:56 PM
@SuspenseSmith

I got choked up too, I was gonna go see this movie anyway, but when i saw the grenade bit a few days ago in the trailer I lost it. This kinda stuff totally sells the character, the innocent idealism of America at the time.
Pitydafool - 7/14/2011, 5:56 PM
@Trudy: We all know the "man" don't love us. They keeping us down. Look at Steel and no Black Panther movie. lol I keed I keed. Still, give me a BP and Nova movie now. I wonder would a Marvel Nova show me what I wanted from GL.
golden123 - 7/14/2011, 6:06 PM
@RABB1T: I think that was on Star Wars.
RABB1T - 7/14/2011, 6:08 PM
@Golden, Star Trek haha. Or is there a stun setting on the rifles in Star Wars? I dont know...
ckal - 7/14/2011, 6:11 PM
Look at him. He's making me cry.

Lmao. Looks good.
Pitydafool - 7/14/2011, 6:16 PM
@Trudy
Dr. Strange would be great. I hope he gets made soon as well marvel could make both in the same year! BP is easier the green light. I've heard that Tyler Perry is set to direct and star as the entire cast. Your move marvel :D
SuspenseSmith - 7/14/2011, 6:25 PM
Dude... INDIANA JONES HAT!!! That's a win right there. lol
Bodwulf - 7/14/2011, 6:25 PM
Great clip. If I did not like Green Lantern and see it by now pissing me off by it automatically playing every time a click an article is not going to sell it now!

cable23 - 7/14/2011, 8:13 PM
When he said "Get Back", it look like he was spazzin out. lol That was pretty brave though, me I would have thrown it away. Still cant wait for this film.
MatioShack - 7/14/2011, 8:16 PM
I love that clip. It shows that Steve Rogers doesn't need the super soldier serum to be a hero, it's all in the heart and guts. That's what Cap is all about.

MasterTang - 7/14/2011, 8:21 PM
I really like this scene, it perfectly captures Captain America's character. Even without the pique human physique he still has the true heart of a hero (hence why he should also be wielding a Mjlonir-like hammer >ex. Thunderstrike<, really what other human is as worthy as him?)I also think this is a good example of how Chris Evans is a good actor for the part.
HavocT - 7/14/2011, 8:30 PM
I think everyone was already far back enough... lol. At that point, it's like someone shooting at nothing and someone jumping in the way to take the shot.
Marikina - 7/14/2011, 8:39 PM
People saying Steve was stupid for reacting the way he did aren't reading the scene right. Not only did the soldiers not know their commander threw the grenade into the field, they didn't even know a grenade WAS there until he warned them about it. Everything was instinctive, and Steve gave the "gutsy" reaction.
Seph - 7/14/2011, 10:50 PM
damn this is a great scene! better get an oscar for this!

superpooper - 7/14/2011, 11:05 PM
Jumping on what you think is a live grenade during training. Hmmm. You call it bravery, I call it stupidity. You don't win a war with everyone jumping on live grenades.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 7/14/2011, 11:05 PM
This is a great scene. Can't wait for this movie!
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 7/14/2011, 11:12 PM
@superpooper I don't think he is stupid, just inexperienced, and he doesn't know what to expect in his training. That being said, he still wants to serve his country. And also, I'm pretty sure we all know everyone who fights in a war doesn't just jump on a live grenade, but soldiers do give their life in battles for other people and other soldiers. Like taking a bullet, etc, etc.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 7/14/2011, 11:13 PM
*taking a bullet for someone else.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 7/14/2011, 11:13 PM
