With today being the last day for the San Diego Comic-Con convention, attendees are returning home posting all of their coverage and images online. And while we've seen images of the following before, courtesy of Thom-293, we now how a detailed look at Captain America's new look for next summer's The Avengers film, head to toe. UPDATE: three more images added.

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

The blue part on the gloves make them look cheap. I also wish that Cap's ears were exposed, but I guess that wouldn't make much sense from a more realistic perspective. Other than that, cool suit.

Was going to complain that this is the fifth posting of these pics but, They are the best (no glass reflection).

I think it looks fantastic. I just thought the wings would protrude a bit more, as they did in the concept art that came out a couple of weeks ago.

One thing to remember about the way things appear in person or in photos is that once they go under the lighting of Hollywood, they can easily appear to be different in texture and make-up. Several of Cap's shields in TFA were made of different materials. Can anyone truly tell which one was rubber or metal? You know that commercial you see with a hamburger that looks juicy and delicious? It's plastic and sprayed down with water.

Love it! I see the wings are indented instead of popping out. That is my only gripe. I hope the Superman suit is similar when it comes to color, material, texture, etc.

It looks very slick. It's as true to the comics as it can get without looking cheesy... much like Thor's costume. Brilliantly done.

Also, Joss Whedon I trust about as much as Nolan and Webb...

Whoever comes out on top in 2012, I'm sure we'll be blown away from each one.

For some reason, the blue belt bothers me, but I'm sure I'll get over that as soon as I see the suit in action. Not gonna sweat the small stuff. Outfit looks prtty epic!

Why are people comparing this to the one in CA:TFA. The one in First Avenger was cool and appropriate for the time period. So, it obvious it wouldnt look up-to-date like his modern costume in The Avengers. Common sense should tell you that.

Like im sure you didnt expect Iron Man's very first armor that he built in the cave to look like the extremis armor, right?

The belt doesnt do it for me i would have preferred a different colour. I would have liked to have seen a modernised TFA suit but this awesome.

Obviously it will look better on screen, and i'm sure I'll love it

lol.. Suit looks great.. i said this years ago, if they ever make a Cap movie they will have to make it almost Batman suit like, and this suit has that tight armor look to it.. Great Job.. I can finally say that I am now interesting in watching a live action Cap movie.. I always thought the character looks dorky, & i still think the character looks some what dorky, I just still cant believe the creator of Captain America put a big letter "A" on his forehead..

But they have made a suit that actually might work right in a live action film..

I do have to complain about one think tho, just for the sake of complaining, but seriously its so stupid that I have no choice but to complain..

What was the knucklehead designer that made this suit thinking when he put a white zipper on the red stripe.. why not make the zipper red asshole...!!! okay, Im done complaining...

What's with the utility belt and what's he keep in there? His Cap-arang? Cap-ling Hook? Spare change? Anti-Shark Repellent?
I can see wearing one out in the field during war, where it contains extra ammo, food rations, water canteen, etc., but why does the modern Captain America need one?
