UPDATE: Thor Spotted Alongside Captain America From Afar On The Avengers' Set!

Spotted at a distance, wielding his mighty hammer, 'THOR' has been spotted on The Avengers'set alongside Captain America and more "alien" motion-capture actors.

As alerted yesterday, it seems today's filming for Marvel Studios' The Avengers not only further depicts the inclusion of 'Captain America,' but the almighty 'Thor,' Chris Hemsworth, has arrived to the Cleveland shoot. Spotted by locals, likely rehearsing, wielding his mighty hammer, hes also seen surrounded by more motion-capture "alien" stuntmen.

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

In the first pic you can see Thor with his Cape and on the opposite his Stund double without the cape and sleeves.

Think the cape-less Thor is one of the stunt choreographers and they are mapping out the fight scene for the two Chris'. Might give all these pics a miss from now on as I can slowly see a story line being revealed shortly.

And no, I don't think that is Scarlet Johansen with the coffee, unless she's wrapped and been eating nothing but doughnuts ever since!!

Ryan Reynolds didn't NEED CGI to suit up as Green Lantern. But they used it anyway. And i believe the Kree are 7 foot tall as well as wear armors. Those might be hard to come by and CGI is a great way around it. The Chitauri would have to have been a part of Cap's film yet they weren't. And the Skrulls are more well known. There is no reason what so ever to chose the Chitauri. I still say it's the KREE because the rumor is that the Skrulls are only hinted at yet we are dealing with an alien invasion none the less. The Kree would also establish a cosmic hero more than any other threat and a female one at that which is very rare and sought after from the public. And of all the directors in the business, Joss Whedon LOVES strong female protagonists, he spent the better part of his life working on one. Make mine Ms. Marvel!

I love it, seeing Cap and Thor together. They could be drinking cofee I don't care it is just awesome we get to see them on screen together.

This is what awesome is made of, can't wait to see marvel studios release the stills of the hulk in this. I hope they do, i would love to see a pic of thor and hulk standing side by side fighting since they're both bad asses

very cool! remember this may not be only Cap and Thor standing back to back... Iron Man may be put in later...

also does he have armor on his arms or not? I don't particularly care... I personally liked the sleeves-less costume though after seeing it... kinda hope he wears the sleeves-less throughout the film...

also nobody say he doesn't have a cape in this one he will I think it is either they will CGI it in or this is just a test and he didn't put his cape on for the test...

Since the Skrulls have typically been adversaries of the Fantastic Four...does anybody know who has the legal rights to use them? Are they part of Fox's Fantastic Four universe or does Marvel own the rights to them?

This would make a huge difference as to what "aliens" we are all guessing at and arguing over.

Whisky gives a man such great clearity of mind in the we hours of the morning.

@R888 RDJ will apparently have the most screen-time. The remaining stuff involving Iron Man will be CGI. The stuntman should be on set soon. Probably not today though.
