UPDATE #2: Principal Cast Of The Avengers Spotted Together On NYC Central Park Set!

Although only Chris Hemsworth & Tom Hiddleston are costumed, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr. & Mark Ruffalo have all been spotted!

Courtesy of the good celeb stalkers from SplashNewsOnline, principal stars of Marvel Studios' The Avengers, two of which costumed, have been spotted on the Central Park set in New York City. To be specific, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are seen the below images. UPDATE: Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and Stellen Skarsgard have been spotted. UPDATE #2: Check the bottom for more pics. Is RDJ wielding the Cosmic Cube?

































Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

These are actually really cool pics. its cool to see them in a adifferent setting. with all of them standing together, some in costume some not, very cool. I like.

I'm thinking they're all in costume for the scene, unless New York is going through a sudden cold spell that I'm not aware of. Evens certainly seems to be dressed as I would imagine Steve Rogers would be, and everybody has a coat on.

Either way, it looks like making this movie is a lot of fun. Hopefully that'll all translate on screen for the audience as well!

Plus, the fact that Loki isnt sporting a Cape is also good. He never really had a cape in the Early Kirby Comics, so I dig that they're just giving Thor some Cape Action
