Five Officially Released Stills From THE AVENGERS

Although three were previously-seen as scans, Marvel have officially released new HQ still photos from The Avengers, featuring Robert Downey Jr., and Samuel L. Jackson among others

The folks from Marvel.com have revealed five high-quality still photos from the much-anticipated summer blockbuster The Avengers, three of which were previously seen as scans in Empire magazine. Featuring actors Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and Scarlett Johansson with Jeremy Renner, in their respective roles, check out the still photos down below; with more goods to be revealed "in the coming weeks."

I was thinking the same thing. My best guess is that in the MCU, Nick Fury lost his eye during a facial tattooing gone horribly wrong.

Anyone else think fury's eye could be some kind of plot point. I think it looks like his old scar is still there with some kind of extra scaring or an infection over it, kinda looks like the one stark has in Iron Man 2. But it was fury who had the cure to that.
