Foreign Promo for THE AVENGERS Reveals New Footage With 'Black Widow' In Action!

In an effort to promote the film internationally, brief "coming soon" promos for Marvel's The Avengers began airing on DisneyXD channel this month. And while a few have been previously revealed, spotlighting each Avenger, the latest via DisneyXDpl reveals new action-packed footage with Scarlett Johansson' Black Widow.

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Does this have new footage stuff after Avengers trailer 2? If it doesn't I'll watch it, but if it does, I'm saving for May 4th.

Looks like mostly Iron Man 2 footage. A couple snips of footage we haven't seen (from scenes represented already in footage we have seen).

@superotherside You can watch it. It's mostly scenes from Iron Man 2.

I like the idea and the editing. But the old footage outweighs the Avenger footage. But it's cool they used the Widow scenes from when she was hotter.

She was SO much hotter in Iron Man II.

I'm not familiar with the Black Widow from the comics so I have a quick question: She seems to be throwing something blue at the end of the footage. What is that?

@superotherside That's cool. I don't think they're going to go any further than what we've seen which is basically the same invasion footage. What you might want to avoid is that 4 to 6 movie clips that pop up on or near release weak. But it works in different ways for different fans. Had I not watched the Cap Shield-Fighting clip, I probably would have waited for Cap on DVD. But I think we're all seeing this on opening day no matter what.
