I love what Sam Jackson said to Loki. He should go full full Pulp Fiction on his ass. I can totally see Nick Fury saying this to Loki:
Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the
tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through
the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike
down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!

"A Demi God?"

Thor is a fully fledged God since both his parents are Gods?

A demi God would be people like Hercules or Perseus.

@Seehay,

I believe Thors father is an elder god, whereas his mother was just an Asgardian....making him a demigod.

@Rhys

Actually, his mother is Gaea and she is a so called "elder god" in the Marvel universe. But his father Odin, son of Bor, is however not a "elder god", but a god, and a king, as I understand it.

However, as son of a regular "god" and a "elder god" it does make him a "god", not a "demi-god".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demigod

There is no "human" involved. :)

"
The term demigod (or demi-god), meaning "half-god", is commonly used to describe mythological figures whose one parent was a god and whose other parent was human;[1] as such, demigods are human-god hybrids. In some mythologies it also describes humans who became gods, or simply extremely powerful figures whose powers approach those of the gods even though they are not gods themselves.

I don't think Stark's ego could handle calling Thor a "god". Demigod is probably as close as he could come since Thor wasn't turning Stark's water to wine (or even a dirty martini).

@Rhys

Thor's mother is Gaea (an elder god) and his father is Odin (king of the gods). I think that makes him a full fledged god. And since when aren't Asgardians gods?

@Lazarusreborn,

I don't know. It's like it's lacking a certain something... like it's not cinimatic... enough. Like it needs a football field collapsing or a gurgly voice that you can't understand.

We're referring to Thor's comic history. I would explain further but I don't speak "inbred troll" and I'm afraid that may be all you understand.

Actually, I've read Thor since I was a child. No wikipedia needed. Just pure, old-fashioned, geek cred! Wanna hear about Red Norvell? The time Balder got fat and lazy? How about when Loki was a spirit inhabiting a special suit of armor?
